  • In this Copilot video tutorial I explore using Copilot to create PivotTables in Microsoft Excel. Is Copilot any quicker or cleverer than an average Excel user. I don't think so.

    I guess copilot might be good to find the answer to a question you don't know how to obtain from pivoting.
    I work with millions of records that i need to compare with other, fairly different datasets to find where UIDs aren't matching/found..
    So for example is service X in usage data, order data, and if so bring back key data points ie start and end dates, and where a service isn't in the inventory data

      Just to add I've found copilot and other LLM have been great taking raw data sql scripts that i have and doing the summarisation that i used to do in Excel on the postgres server itseld.
      Like the other day i used an optimised script to extraxt, consolidate, sun, count and summarise by a variety of fields followed by an order now. I think it chewed through some several billion records and spat it out in 30mins.
      Would have taken me a day or so to do it via power pivot
