Wooo, Thanks for promoting the BTCC to the sim world. A lot of us are having a blast of a time racing BTCC on LFM, one of the best racing I have had in a while
I'm a huge fan of rf2. Bought it in 2014. Over 850 hours racetime there. I think it's still the best and most realistic racing simulator you can buy for pc. It has a very good AI, a top class force feedback, good sounds and also the graphics is nice. You can get hundreds of cars and tracks per steam workshop. But i think only the original pay content is top of the notch. Laserscans are perfect. The btcc cars are super funny, and my favorite combo at the moment is brandshatch / vauxhall astra btcc.
What's great about these cars is that people outside the UK have been raving about them. Hopefully TOCA sees this and pushes it out worldwide a bit more.
I purchased all the BTCC cars but individually as soon as they were available and I don't seem to have the 2023 liveries for all the cars (with exception to the recently released Cupra). Appreciate any ideas...Much Thanks! EDIT: Forced the game to update and now have all the liveries.
Content looks good, handling seems decent but as my first experience of rfactor2 I was a little put off seeing the ai continuously spin on the warm up lap or crash into eachother
@@pitlanes Thruxton and also croft. Admittedly though I just jumped in and turned up ai aggression to 80 percent as the default I guessed was too low. Perhaps that's causing the issue. The ai are fine in the race. Just the warm up lap which is odd.
I think they did stuff with warm up lap au logic didn't they? (I'm old I forget) maybe they tweaked something too much Saying that, once at croft, I had a pile up at the end of the pit lane. Just once though
If they do eventually make the BTCC game and it makes it to consoles, I hope they can dumb it down a bit from full rf2 sim mode. I have a rf2 but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to use with a controller and not everyone has the budget for a sim rig. If they want it to succeed as a stand-alone title, it needs to be considerably more playable, that’s what people liked about all the old Toca titles. If it’s a direct port to console, it’ll be a flop.
I'm loving these cars in rF2. Also, it should be noted that, while you can race all the BTCC cars while only needing to buy one of them, you will have to download and install the other cars (but you won't be able to drive them without paying for them).

FWD feels so good in RF2!!

One of my favourite combinations to drive, rF2 and BTCC 👍👊🏁
As a big fan off the BTCC it brilliant that we have all the cars 👍

Glad you got sorted!

Oh interesting! What track etc was that?

I play with a controller, you need to change to the "modern" interpolation setting
I'm really hoping that they release Snetterton next.
I'm hoping to see it too!
