Note to all viewers who suffer from costo watching this: don’t take this explanation at face value. (I’m one of manyyyyy comments on this video who seem to be saying the same thing, interesting 🤔)
I explain this in my note to OP below
    Note to OP:
    1. Explain exactly why repetitive motion couldn’t dramatically help reduce costo? It’s caused by repetitive motion as well, so doing the inverse seems quite logically to be a solid solution.
    2. Foam rollers do absolute nothing for costo, except maybe reduce some general pain for a few hours. Just providing some symptom relief.
    3. “This won’t be the magic bullet”. You then go on to say that chiropracty is the magic bullet. Weird. The sneaky thing about costo that’s been around for a long time (lots of us have had it for upwards of five years, due to next to no widely available medical knowledge beyond “rest and fix posture”) is that the inflammation buildup is so bad that even visiting a chiropractor, while helpful, doesn’t fix the issue right away. No one but the hyper rich has the money to go to the chiropractor twice weekly….which brings me to my fourth point
    4. The cost of the Backpod. I’m afraid you’re not factoring in what actually went into creating this product. you’re not paying $80 for a piece of plastic. You’re giving $80 to the only doctor who actually sat down and logically worked out the process for why costo develops, and built, tested, marketed, and wrote an extensive guide on just how to fix it. for only $80!?!! how much does a chiro cost again….
it’s incredibly different in scope from say, a $20 foam roller. i could get a foam roller built in china and sell it for $20 if i wanted. see the difference?
oh, there’s also a $40 version on amazon now
This is written as someone who has suffered from costo for over ten years, and has entirely fixed their posture as of 3 years ago. I’ve seen zero improvement, despite stretching every day. This is the only thing that works. Sure, a lacrosse ball works alright. This works much better. For the sake of people suffering from costo, and if you have any dignity, please at least remove this video from the internet. You clearly have never had this issue yourself, and haven’t even watched the short video by the creator. This is just dangerous misinformation, from someone with a degree.

Most do not get those results……. And those with scoliosis can make it worse with the backpod. Glad you found relief but all it does is grossly manipulate the thoracic spine. My exc I created would be better for you to do regularly so it doesn’t come back.

Right went to 5 different chiros they didnt do shit. Backpod fixed it in 2 weeks. Its bc most back issues are really muscle related...the real spine issues you need surgery...not some quack releasing gas between joints.

Same here. It almost immediately provided relief of symptoms. I have been using the exercises found on this page for about 2 months now and while they have helped in reducing my pain by 50%; nothing has done as much as a few stretches on the backpod. I think some people just are not using it correctly or their back is so out of wack that they need a lot more time with the backpod and exercises. People are looking for immediate results for something they have let go for far too long.

For me the backpod was an essential tool for my recovery. My cause was a fall onto my ribcage followed by years of being very sedentary. My breathing and mobility improved substantially. I eventually switched over to a 3 inch cork ball for something more intense/targetted, but the backpod was great for starting out and addressing the problem(tight rib joints in the back).

so I just bought the thing yesterday, I had costo for a year when i stumbled upon the backpod. I also didnt want to spend 70 bucks on that thing so i did it with a rolled up towl. I did that for a week and it was quasi gone. I went back to the gym recently and noticed it coming back whenever I benched or something. Thank you for your insight, i also think the condition is more complicated, but the point the creator of the backpod (i dont even know his name) made sence since the towl role helped me. So now I bought the actual thing. I will try the thing out an comment again. But I have high hope. I will watch your other videos, because I want to learn all there is

The backpod works. I have only used it for a couple days, but I have had immense relief since using it. Don't get me wrong, I also was doing the exercises that I learned from this youtube channel, but I still suffered from costo. I have only had it for about 2 months now but have been super proactive in getting rid of it. The longer you wait, the worse and tighter your ribs get which will make it even more difficult to correct (from what i have heard). You need to loosen them up where they connect to your spine. Keep it up with the back pod and continue with exercises. Also, do not get cocky and think (i'm all better) and start working hard. You need to rest a lot, use the back pod, stretch your ribs out, heat your back with heating pad or hot showers. Don't focus too much on the chest as you really need to get your ribs loosened up where they connect to your spine. Also I take a broom stick and put it on my shoulders with my arms over it and twist softly. Just don't give up and don't get stressed. Stay confident and continue with everything i listed and you will get relief. My pain is down about 60 to 75% now. My opinion is that people give up way too fast. they have suffered for a long time and just want it to go away. I don't blame them but you need to put in the work. Good luck and I hope you at least get to where I am. At one point my pain was so bad, I just about gave up on having a normal life. My honeymoon was coming up and I as super depressed. But this channel and the backpod have done wonders.

i used it for about 3 days now, I did not use pillow, becaus my back is very flexible to begin with. I can still feel somethin is up with my sternum but it may very well be some inflamation that needs to heal off. Other than that i can say that even after a few days my condition feels much better, not somehow better, but the-sharp-pain-when-turning-my - torso-or-breath-in-is-gone getter. This does not surprise me tho, bc I knew it would work since I used a rolled up towel before and this gave me relieve as well. I will get a peanut ball aswell, bc I can imagine it really works those ribs. I still think, that the backpod is to expensive tho, I mean the thing works you don't throw your money out, I just feel everybody should easily be able to afford it. I don't think a kid can persuade their parents du buy a $70 piece of rubber whis is a shame bc the thing is worth getting. If the price would be something like $30 I would give it a 5/5, if you have costo you need that thing.

Here's the thing, I know plenty of people who have not so perfect posture. But yet they don't have costochondritis and I do. I get so frustrated when my chiropractor's and my doctors practically gaslight me into thinking that it's my posture, when I have always prided myself on maintaining a good posture, then one morning and out of the blue I woke up with this feeling in my chest. It has been nearly 4 years now. Its also frustrating that there doesn't appear to be a single chiropractor out there who can crack my chest. For four years now my chest has been feeling like it just needs a good crack, which every so often i can give myself a good one, but then I am always left with that last "itch" (small, but daunting crack) I cannot get.

While youre reviewing this....let me review chiropractor work in general
Its all bullshit for the most part. You can adjust somebody 3 times a day. It wont matter...the muscles, ligaments and tendons are going to control the tension on your bones. Bad posture and spine problems is caused by how you sit habitually. Your muscles pull aNd eventually that's how your bones will rotate. Once a chiro adjusts you within a few min you bones will slide right back into same position. You almost never need a chiro...just lose weight, eat right, lift weights and do yoga or pilates and practice good posture.

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Your partially right, yes posture is crucial and correcting it is even more crucial. Unfortunately you don’t know what chiropractors really do otherwise you wouldn’t say that.
Chiropractors break up neuro plasticity in the nervous system.
Harvard medical and Yale have written great papers proving it’s effectiveness along with spine magazine and a bunch more!
Also you clearly don’t understand that your describing manipulation not a chiropractic adjustment.
Ps/ where do you think those muscles and ligaments get their nerve supply from? Yup the spine! So you can save your negativity for another channel. I mean this comment is coming from a guy named more pecs more sex. Good luck with that!! 😂

I didn’t want to pay out more money on something that may not work as the back pod isn’t cheap so i took my sons old junior rugby ball which is roughly the same size and shape and cut it in half and filled it with silicone…works just as good and cost me nothing 🙂

Hi I was interested to watch your clip. I’m unsure how you can say this isn’t so good un yet in other video clips you suggest a lacrosse ball. Isn’t it sorta the same thing ? Well I think the back pod is actually better. No offense I’m sure your a great Chiro. It’s hard to get into a Chiro or Osteo or even a decent massage therapist in my area and then it’s more than 70$!! I think your review is a little biased. This chap is a Physio. The Physio philosophy is it’s something you do - not get done. Chiros tend to do it for you which is why so many injuries need constant attention. If the client doesn’t strengthen and stretch.they are not taking responsibility for the injury to help rehab. If you just manipulate and “wack it back in the stressed muscles will just pull it out again. As this injury is about opposing muscle groups being more dominant.

Have seen some wonderful reviews for backpod, may be you should try. And if you are worried the money would go waste if it doesn't work for you, one alternative solution is using a high quality cricket groin guard in place of a backpod. It must be available in most cricket sports shops in India, for below Rs. 200/- . If you find some improvement in a week / 10 days following instructions from a backpod demo video, then may be you could buy the original one. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps!.
PS: I'm no doctor, and this alternative solution was from another TH-cam video. Thx

chiropractors rock🔥 it’s a lot of things I didn’t know about my body until I went to a chiropractor. I use a lacrosse ball, do 3 Costo exercises from your video. I’m sure the back pod does work but you still need a chiropractor to actually correct your thoracic spine and neck curvature and posture.
I love Your videos thank you kindly sir 🙏🏾

The creator of the Backpod has a booklet in the box that tells you what else to do. He doesn’t say just use the backpod. He has other professionals to use and things you MUST do to also help you.

I'm using the backpod as well and strengthening and stretching. I go to physical therapy and also use a foam roller. I will also be seeing a chiropractor. I will say it brought me relief in my most painful times in the beginning especially when my old doc was not listening to my pain complaints to begin with. I agree that strengthening and continuous care is important. Daily. Plus you just feel better strengthening.
I have a question though, now that I have loosened my back even more so with the foam roller, my upper back constantly clicks and pops and it never ever did that before! I must have had a very tight upper back! What should I do to counterbalance that popping noises now? just a bunch of strengthening??

I do not trust the medical system over here in UK after all I have had people trying to operate in the wrong limbs.
