I never knew most of the agricultural machinery and tractors are primarily on rural roads . Thanks for the heads up .
90 kilometre speed limit signs don’t even exist at all in Ireland.
Phones and coffee are the biggest distraction and larger tractors use up most of the road and overgrown hedges leave no room for cars to pass safely

Ye I agree but half of them need to be done for lack of progress on a public road. Ones doing eg 60km cause more hassle and accidents on the roads that’s unreal.
I've nursed brain damaged patients caused by road accidents. Please, please drive carefully, and appreciate life. 🙏

Rural are narrow because the council don't cut the hedges and everyone needs to drive because of no public transport like parents travelling the same road many times due to different school times for different age kids

Im sick of driving in heavy rain and fog . With hundreds of drivers ( including so-called professional truck drivers) with not even their lights on never mind fog lights. Plus people if your car has automatic daylights thats just your front lights and nothing on the back of your car 👎👎👎
Your confusing two different things. Daytime running lights are only at the front, automatic lights come on front and back when they detect the outside lighting has fallen below a certain level

As a Spanish living in Ireland, the fist thing that really shocked me was how fast the people drive, there are roads where there is a 80 km/h, where in the Canary islands the equivalent is 40 km/h. If you talk to people, some of them are "proud" of how fast they drive, this is INSANE, I really feel insecure anytime I take the car, where in Spain there are a lot of speed radars, controls and the speed is adequate to the road. Please PLEASE drive slow for the security of all of us, until the government increase the measures to "make people drive slow"
If you feel insecure maybe you should leave the car at home? You sound like one of the people who’ll do 70kph on a clear main road thinking you’re such a safe driver but all your doing is infuriating the people unfortunate enough to be stuck behind you. They then have to take unnecessary risks to get past you!
@@hayman5968 I go to the speed limit. People do not have to over take a car that is traveling at the speed of the via.

As an engineer with a master in mechanical engineering in Madrid one of the best universities of Europe and where we study something that doesn't exist in Ireland, design and manufacture safer cars and perform impact test. I not only believe than going at 65 km/h is safer for me and the rest of the users of the road. I also can probe it.
At 80 km/h if you impact again a solid object with enough mass as a wall or fence. The deceleration generated in the human body is such that, your car can be a little bit damaged, the person can remains sited on the car with the belt and the airbag and everything perfect, but the stomach and others organs of the body can ended up in different places of the body with the result of death in the act.
The human body only can resist certain levels. doesn't matter what to do. The laws of physics cannot be challenged.
The problem in the roads are ignorant people like you that do not understand a F=ma is.
By the way. There is no need to overtaking any car that is going at 70km/h, where the speed limit is 80km/h, driving for 1 hour at 80km/h you are "saving" 1 minute or 2. Do you need that?., what are you an ambulance?., RESPECT THE LIFE OF OTHERS
@@robertbheatcoker8638 in the midst of all that self appreciating waffle about how intelligent you presume yourself to be you’ve only succeeded in demonstrating your lack of knowledge of the rules of the road in Ireland. The speed limit on a main road is 100kph not 80, so while you’re trundling along at 70 with your head in the clouds telling yourself how smart and safe you are, you’re actually going a full 30kph BELOW the speed limit! Don’t expect everyone else to drive at a speed YOU are comfortable with, if you can’t keep up with the speed of other traffic, take the bus!
The Gardai need to realise that the citizens employ them to keep the peace and NOT to harrass lawful citizens going about their Constitutionally protect business!!!

I think the Driving test is partly to blame I am sixty five and was always to slow down coming to a corner on a small road if you could not see what was coming but my three children were taught to stay at the speed limit 80 kilometres per hour.
People get frustrated if you do not stay at the speed limit or the road does not allow them pass.
It is no wonder there are so many Deaths. Do not start me on the car behaviour when they are behind a road bike they just ignore the bike and pass on blind corner expecting the bike to go through the hedge if a car comes the other way.
If on a road bike you have no choice but stay in the middle of the lane coming up to corners to save the drivers from themselves and then you get abuse shouted at you when they pass after the corner. The Government should get serious and pull in all drivers to do a half day lecture then driving lesson every five years to start with.
90 % of drivers do not know how to drive in Ireland. I come from an aviation background and pilots do tests every six months and an extra one every 12 months to be safe, Drivers are no different.

Old people over 50 should be made do a retest, update on their driving ability. Im a professional driver 56 years old, and accept that iv slowed down, with some habits. Iv seen some alarming driving from the "more mature".
