    All these details, all human poses, outfit, tools, scale, perspective, motion, shadows, textures. And he does it so smoothly and flawlessly. This guy has been drawing for 30+ years , and yes, his skills are beyond human understanding.

      He had the entirety of that scene pre-planned in his head before he even started. It's like he does his under drawing in his head and then does the inking on the paper as he goes. It's absurd, honestly, but like you said, his amount of skills are incomprehensible

    • @prbrummer
      @prbrummer 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Ricky Hineman he most likely doesn’t have the whole scene planned out in his head before he starts. He starts out with an idea for the scene and a character, and keeps adding things that fit the idea and theme to create a story.

      i believe his skillset can be learned. It's just observation and practice. his level of draughtmanship is testament to the years of study he has invested.

    굵고 가는선을 ㄸㅏ라가다보니 할말을 없고 뭐라고 어떻게 써야될지 망서려 지네요 저는 금년 82세의 노인 으로서 옛날 엄마찾아 삼만리 작가 김종래 선생님이 생각이 나네요 중고등학교시절 만화책을 보며 다 그리고 --하였던 그시절을 생각나네요 . 연필 뎃상도 하지않고 다시 고칠수없는 먹선으로 그리기까지 얼마나 피나는 노력을 하셨을까 생각하니 우리는 게으르고관찰력이 없었다는 생각이 새삼 느께저 수치스러음을 느낌니다. 젊으신 청년들이시여 나보다는 많이 많이 젊으시니 용기내어 저분 김정기 화백같이 되십시요 .먼 미래에 후회 하지마시고---

    This is a 'gift'. It is not an achievement arrived through effort only. No one can draw such compositions without having the rough sketches of the scene's perspective and the gestures of the figures first. The case of this man is a very clear example of what the expression 'gifted' means.

    • @Davidgopaint
      @Davidgopaint 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      how would you know? if you havent studied as hard as him, how can you bestow that this is also a gift and not entirely earned through effort?
      Truth is, you cannot judge a road you have not traveled, he earned this skill through 30 years.

    • @dimitrilalushi4693
      @dimitrilalushi4693 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Davidgopaint Those are skills that can not be acquired from hard work only. But anyway, if you believe that it is so as you say, keep your belief. Given that it is not something belonging to the realm of the provables it would be vain to go to a long discussion about it.

    When he started to draw the dragon head, I connected the dots and my mind was blown when he made it into a story with all the humans with the dragons body. Love his brush pen arts, he inspired me to use brush pen now. I plan to buy one soon to practice!!

  • @TheCSJones
    @TheCSJones 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    For everyone asking, he's drawing with a Pentel Color Brush Pen. (The pigment kind.)
    It's a fucking hard pen to draw with. It's like dipping your finger in ink and trying to paint with it. And yet he does this.

    • @jiji3750
      @jiji3750 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brush pens are so hard to use. You need a heck ton of control in your hands. I can't even do consistent thin lines :'D they're also always wobbly. Watching him draw so well with it just puts me at awe.

    • @andyhaochizhang
      @andyhaochizhang 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was taught to write with (Chinese style) brush pens as a child, I'd say it's a lot harder (initially) than painting with finger. The brush is kind of springy but the hairs also morphs and spreads, making tight curves extremely hard to control. To this day writing o and 0 is still difficult to me.

  • @RaymunJai
    @RaymunJai 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    you know what's even more amazing? how in the hell can he picture that in his head? it looks like he knows where every stroke and detail goes...and this scale of drawing is HUGE!

  • @iamarthorse
    @iamarthorse 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You know, I don't think he has the picture in his head, just an idea, and he starts drawing and exploring the story of the picture as he works. His work has that sense of expanding on the main concept until you have a full and living scene. I imagine that if he simply knew what he wanted, he wouldn't find it interesting to draw it. His work makes me want to spend more time on the smaller details and the little stuff.

      There are actually reasons one could dislike the video : it's too short, the music is not that great, and we don't get to see a close-up of the finished piece. And honestly, even though I personally worship our bald god of drawing, I think this piece is a bit too crowded and "flat" (other drawings he did had more depth and flow).

Bem apreendidos, mas apreendidos e treinados à priori. Tenhamos noção das coisas. Sem muito trabalho não há milagres. O trabalho mais importante deste acontecimento artístico aconteceu nos bastidores e algumas, muitas, horas depois. É arte, é bonito, não é milagre, mas dá milhões. É tudo!
