I just saw an interview with frank where he said this was one of the hardest shows he ever played. Apparently right before the gig they found out that their drummer was stealing from them which hurt a lot because they all genuinely liked him. Plus there was the added stress of playing with Brian who is a childhood hero. All things considered they put on one of the best shows of their career. Just another example of why mcr is one of the greatest things to happen to music!

You won't find the best vocals in the revenge era because he was always drunk, and you'll never see him sing amazingly in mainstream media because he just doesn't give a crap about fitting the mold, and most of the time, if you are in a festival, you just wanna run around and scream. So I feel like when you got to the black parade is dead and venganza, you really got his best vocals there. And this one was also so big because it was sort of a statement to everyone back in 2006 who bottled them, that they can hate them all they want, but all that hate is only going to drive them more, and they will be bigger and better than before

For me, the danger days era was the most exciting time to be a my chem fan.
Gerards vocals, stage presence and physicality were at their peak. He seemed genuinely happy and confident on stage. He was oozing sex appeal and charm. His aesthetic was so damn cool and you could really tell how proud he was of this album. Every song was so high octane and infectious.
It feels strange as a lifelong fan for me to say that it’s become my favourite album of theirs, but there’s honestly nothing else like it.
Dude I legit started following MCR after hearing DD, which then lead me to hear their older stuff. If it weren't for DD, I honestly dont know if I would be here watching this video

I was bullied by fellows mcr fans everytime i gushed on how good DD is, back then you couldn't like the album for some reason. I played on repeat in secret
I think Black Parade is still their best album, but their live sound (especially Gerard) was best during Danger Days
Such a shame DD was so poorly recieved by fans (hell, myself included honestly. This album aged like the finest of wine). I remember being soooo disappointed, but I was 13 or 14 and thought blast beats and breakdowns were the pinnacle of music.

Brian May is Just the sweetest, in 2006 MCR came to the same festival and got bottled by the crowd.
When Queen was first entering the scene back in the 70s they also got booed of stage.
So this situation reminded Brian of their time as a band that weren't really liked at the time.
So he decided to join them on stage to show Them his support
Ray playing next to Brian May looking like the happiest person on Earth, and Gerard on the ground looking up at them smirking while singing.... this gives me so much serotonin
My first MCR concert was October 2006 at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. 14 years later, a wife, 3 kids later I’m getting tickets for Christmas to see them next year. This band is the Smashing Pumpkins of my generation. Timeless and golden.

This band defined a generation in rock music and without a doubt should be inducted into the hall of fame. Its a crime they haven't been already.
A band isn't eligible to be inducted until 25 years after their first commercial release.
That means the earliest they could be on the ballot for induction is 2027, to be inducted in the 2028 ceremony. Just the way it works.
They deserve to be first eligibility/first ballot inductees for sure!

The Black Parade with Brian May and Ray absolute shredding the intro together was so sick.
God knows how many times I've seen this, but we'll never be as epic as Ray Toro having Brian May harmonize his lead lines.
I like how you can hear all the band members so clearly. Mikey's bass and both Frank and Ray's vocals really stand out here. And the piano really adds to songs like Mama, gives it even more of a haunted-carnival type of vibe it already had.
This must have been the greatest day in Ray‘s life 😄

This recording just brought back so much nostalgia. I was there back in 2011. The ground was so muddy and it was so sweaty in that massive crowd. But it was unforgettable and amazing. MCR was incredible, especially Gee and keeping his vocals so stable through this entire set, and Frankie, Ray, Mikey, and the backing band’s stamina, keeping us all hyped up.
Also, I met a girl in a unicorn onsesie during this, but I don’t remember her name 😭

This band is helping me through a lot right now. I’m a new fan, only been a fan for a few months now. Gee and Frankie in particular are literally saving me right now not just through MCR but their own solo music as well. They’re my heroes right now, and I know that sounds extreme but it’s true. They give me the confidence to be myself, the comfort that it’s okay to be myself. I’m apart of the LGBTQ+ community, my family is against the community. So when I feel incredibly down and I’m hard on myself for being the way I am, this band helps me. I’ve been so depressed, anxious about things coming up in my life, and they comfort me. Their loud music, as crazy as this sounds, soothes me.
Sorry for all of the rambling - I just know there are probably some killjoys that will understand.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Trust his promises to you my friend. I have highly enjoyed MCR"S music too, and saw you comment!
