My mum died a week ago and it's her funeral on Wednesday afternoon and together we both chose The Black Parade to be played at the end of the service. She managed 87yrs on this planet, 57 of them having to cope with me as her prodigious offspring, for which I am and always will be eternally grateful for her patience, love, wisdom and the forceful teachings of right from wrong. ( even though it took me a while for it to sink in) I was her carer as she became sick 24/7 for the last 3 yrs. Vascular Dementia took her slowly bit by bit but Her amazing sense of humour and feisty spark was there. Warmly amazed me right up to the end. She's free now and as she stipulated on Wednesday will be a celebration of her life and the love, happiness, joy and laughter we had together. I hope she's with dad, watching Giggling and singing along. He'll be truly proud of her for her final hurrah and will love watching the reactions... THANK YOU MUM FOR EVERYTHING. LOVE YOU XxXxX
Great Choice. When I met my wife, she hated my music taste. the only album she would listen to when in my truck was this album. brings such great memories for me, I hope when you hear it it will bring great memories of your mother.
When this album came out... My dad was dying of cancer so this hits my heart like a truck ever time I hear it. One day. I will get through it without crying. Your mum is resting in power now. Talk to her. She is listening. Peace and love. 💜
@@vanderdore dang, looks like we have lived exactly the same thing. Can't hear that song without thinking of my dad and even after all this years, can't get through it without crying as well. Lots of love for ya.

the first time i heard my chem was when my dad showed me the wttbp music video, when i was around 5 or 6. next year my father is going to take me into the city to see a band. i am TOTALLY gonna become the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned.
Fun fact, I was at school listening to Dead! in the bathroom when my mom texted me that my grandfather died of cancer. I don't really listen to that song too often anymore 😭😭😭😭😭😭
It's so good to listen to now. The words fit so well to the times. It feels like this album has been waiting 15 years for a hero to step up and make change happen..
My mom passed away in 2003. I have never heard any type of music like this until I heard this album. Yes it's kind of morbid, but it's real! Thanks MCR!!! 🤟🤟🤟... 3:12
Crazy to see the people who own the music are finally reposting full albums now It's like they came to their senses finally after 15 years about the fact that someone will always be there to repost it if they take it down, might aswell host it on their own and get ad money or whatever
"cancer" hit hard when the album was first released because my HS boyfriend had just been diagnosed a couple months prior and he was in really rough shape. i don't keep in touch with him at all but he's still in remission to this day. now it hits hard for a different reason because when my mom was dying from ALS, she'd say that the hardest part of it was leaving us; my dad, my sister, and myself. she passed a year and a half ago after only 9 months of being diagnosed.
This and Danger Days are the two MCR albums that saved my life last year. When I thought all was lost and nobody loved me, I would listen to them. And I felt heard. I would never have listened to them if it wasn't for one of my best friends Alex. We've bonded a lot over the years. Their school went into lockdown recently and I thought they would die. It was a false alarm, but I was horrified. I listened to Sleep to cope in the hours after. Love you, Alex.
