Amazing! I kind of have the same logic. Focus on main / foundation elements for mono compability and dont care about the rest that much. It is a good trick.

Valuable content! It's always hard for me to glue the stereo layers with the main bass, they end up sounding like two different elements and not great overall, so I usually go with only a mono layer and test if adding a little bit of width with bx_stereomaker bypassing the lower frequencies works better or not.
Stereonizing your main bass a bit is 100% valid too (I do it for all my basslines including this one). honestly I would only reccomend layers if you are interested in strong stereo information like I have in this one...
you should be doing sound design for games. i think you are really good with this kind of stuff. was just going thru your vital pack FX sounds just now. I bet if you studied some Vital and Serum sound design stuff for games you would be really really good at it. I dunno how ppl get those kind of jobs really, normally they join a game jam and just kinda do it for fun to start out and make connnections. I do know that is a thing in the video game world. Game Jams. I will probably join one some day for music.

you're welcome & yes for prog you will probably use this all the time but maybe adapted to 1/8th notes or something like that!
