I did try to order one. Not the Tremor but a Lariat FX4. A couple of weeks after my order supposedly went in the dealer emailed me and said that my order would not/could not be filled in 2023. So I bought a Tacoma.
It's a fantastic truck! I have a hybrid XLT. Even the hybrid is quick! The hybrid has a 1500 lb bed capacity and also 2k towing. I will be getting some AT tires at some point. I paid 25k out the door!
I drove a ecoboost 16 months ago and thought it had plenty of pep…but ordered a hybrid hoping it would get out of its own way. Finally I got a build date February 22 but I’m sure it will change a few times. Using it for a small handyman business and should be plenty enough towing and bed capacity for small jobs. I also bought a xlt $25,500 out the door with only a rear sliding window, hitch and backseat outlet.
@@Mobadventures a few dealers did 4% off invoice, with low doc fees and even with taxes...yup. got a hybrid xlt for 24.7k OTD at 0% interest myself. Edit: waited 13 months for my order to get built lol
@@Mobadventures Live in CT. I was able to use x plan, and had a $750 Ford discount (came in the mail a few months after I ordered). Had an awesome dealer experience even though it took 13 months to get it!
Our family has an FX4, then added the hybrid and luckily, got a December built Tremor. MPG of the Tremor on the sticker looked really low, but at least getting 24+ at 70 + still breaking it in. Definitely feels much peppier than the FX4 that was tested at a rallycross and was very good but the terrible stock tires limited it. Will be interesting if it performs as well as the Focus RS did off road with the similar rear diff. First change will be for much better off road tires, even though the Tremor was delivered with much better AT tires than the FX4. Still waiting on 1 more Tremor, ordered 9/22 but not scheduled yet, as to many carryovers orders for unavailable hybrids at the dealer got top priority over it to even get scheduled even though they are building ecos and Tremors quickly! Turns out a loaded Tremor is the most expensive Maverick you can buy and they're under build capacity, so all ordered should get built ! [EVENTUALLY}
Wow ml! I bought 2 and you now outdid me. One of each makes sense. You now have max mpg, max capability, and max off road. Plus spread the miles they will last 2-3x as long. You should post videos like I do on my channel, I will sub!
I agree Milo, all that demand with not one TV ad. They should have known a loaded XLT for under 30k would be wanted by millions. I like them so much I bought 2 that I show in videos on my channel.
Definitely. That’s a good engine. They didn’t near max the power and torque that wears the engines, nor added a turbo that will quickly destroy it. The power band is even in all the spectrum. No lag. And it has a massive towing capacity. And it is a body on frame with good articulation.
Love this and the Santa Cruz. I've been saying for years that Honda has really dropped the ball and needed to bring us an Element and not the Passport, very similar utility and versatility to these compact trucks.
And the success of the Maverick has proven that the problem with the Ridgeline was never that it's "not a real truck". The Maverick is what people expect in a unibody pickup. Affordable, efficient, and looks like a pickup. Honda's been doing it wrong for 20 years.
I love my XL Hybrid with a moonroof, 2k tow package, center console plug 🔌, dealer added remote start alarm and key pad access, I can't wait for my Tremor XLT with moonroof and sliding back window
I had a 4k equiped fx4 xlt fully loaded and traded it in for a fully loaded xlt tremor. Glad I did! It rides way better and it is way mor capable off road wich is why I got the fx4 in the first place, to go off road to camping sites. I never used the 4k capabilities.
FUNNY STORY… As the Maverick order books are open for such a short time I haven’t been able to get in line and order me one. SO, I was thinking maybe someone has fallen out of love with theirs and I went to see if my local dealer may have a secondhand Mav on their lot looking for a home. Imagine my surprise when I found they had a 2024 Maverick TREMOR XLT incoming. WOW! The order books have been closed for the year for quite some time. I guess not for dealer orders. I called and found this truck had yet to be spoken for so I placed a deposit and this truck will be mine when it arrives in a few days. !
JJ, I have owned Mercedes, BMW, and Jeep Ltd, and I agree the Mav is the best with more capability and better mpg. You can see what I bought in my videos.

People going out and buying this vehicle 10 grand above MSRP really defeats the purpose of what this truck was meant to be. It's supposed to be a cheap truck and for some reason people go and finance $35-$45k for this when you can literally buy a Tacoma or something similar for that kind of money.
What’s the reliability and durability of the high strung turbo charged engine? My guess is it will be a lot lower than Toyota. I loved my old Ford trucks, but my Toyota trucks have way fewer repairs on more miles. Would love to have another Ford, but it’s too risky at this point.
feel like thats just luck of the draw though./ I've owned only 3 trucks in my life, a Jeep Comanche, a 94 Isuzu p/up (which was just a rebadged Chevy S-10 btw), and currently a 08 GMC Canyon. None have needed any major repairs. IIRC all hit over 150/200k miles before I sold them all still running fine. My 08 Canyon I bought in 2013 with 36k miles on it, currently has 150k and still purring. Todays cars are just more reliable than older ones. I wont dispute Toyotas are probably MORE reliable, my Dad's went over 300k no problem and he sold that to a coworker who still uses it to this day. I dunno, I just might question if it matters. Not that many ppl even keep cars for the long term anymore. Also, I was looking at lets say motors recently, while my last gen canyon I would pay like 2500+ for a motor with over 100k miles on it, because they stopped making them in 2012. A new gen canyon I can get tons of 30k mile motors for 1500-2000. If absolute worst case your motor blew up, I dont even think it would be that expensive provided your car is recent. Yes I know it might be 5k to install, but 7k for a new low miles motor all in is nothing when new vehicles routinely run 40k plus. Also the reason for all the "high strung turbos" taking over is EPA regulations requiring ever more MPG. So if you dont like it, please stop complaining and vote. your toyota will be getting a turbo soon enough, if it is allowed to have a ICE engine at all.
I have a 2022 xlt fx4 with 26k on it. I love it. It’s plain and basic but gets the job done. Does it have cheap interior- yes- but it’s a truck. And I paid sticker and did not order it

Why would Ford release a Tremor edition when they can't even deliver the standard truck with simple options. Add to this that they only had the ordering for the 2023 Maverick open for three business days before it sold out. Where and how, pray tell, are they going to come up with a magic factory to build these Tremor editions? Or, is it as I am predicting, those of us waiting for our Maverick orders will be pushed to the back burner so the dealers can get a few of these Tremors on their lots.
The Tremor has a completely different drive train which they have more of than the Hybrid. They're made in the same factory as the rest of the Mavericks and at least based on my order they're able to push out Tremors quicker just due to parts availability.
@@ethangshooting21 Maybe, but they also cut off orders of the regular drive train ecoboost Mavericks after the three days (just like the hybrids) and a bunch of people with those orders are still waiting for those as well (6 months after ordering). I just think it is poor form on Ford's part to introduce a new edition when they can't produce the other trim levels that people can wait, sometimes, over a year for. One of our local dealers refuses to put the Maverick in their advertising flyer because of the way Ford is handling this.

@@fordmaverickmaniac I have a 20 Ranger Lariat FX4 that is paid for. Only thing I would trade it for would be a new lariat maverick tremor new. The odds of me finding what I want are about 0.00001%. Nothing urgent I just keep my eyes open. I tried to order what I wanted at the Ford dealer and they laughed.

For almost the same price due to mark-ups I found a great low-mileage Ranger Tremor that I like more every time I drive it. I have seen some recent price reductions on the Mavericks, but still high 30s or low 40s. That is insane to me.
@@jamesvela7820 I get it. The used market is almost worse that new. For example; my local Ford dealer is a msrp only dealer. Yet they have a used maverick hybrid xl on the lot right now listed for $40k. If people would just stop paying over msrp this bullshit would end real quick.
Not much leather offered in a lot of vehicles any more. The Mav Lariat is leather like ActiveX seats. You can see my XLT interiors on my channel. The seats look like denim.
Maybe but probably not from Toyota. They would have to retool a NA factory to avoid chicken tax. The other 2 meh. I would trust a Ford more plus they were the only ones that didn't need a bailout. Respect.
I really like this truck, but for me a major fail is not offering the hybrid in AWD. It does not have to be an off road monster, but for general use, an AWD road worthy option should be offered. Come on Ford step it up.
It's too bad so many Maverick buyers are facing price gouging by dealers, not to mention, extremely-long wait times of over a year to take delivery. Ford would probably be happy to speed-up the wait if you opt for a Tremor, instead of a hybrid ('can't imagine why...).
That is strange, I thought all the turbo versions got built. Sorry, it is a great truck. I have videos on my channel driving my AWD up steep snow covered roads in Park City. Maybe order another this fall for a 2024MY. It's worth the wait.
Anyone with real world Tremor MPG? I know it’s sticker is a bit less than non-Tremor Mavericks. I have a Tremor on order and hoping to hear what others are getting in the real world.
Ron, the T had less orders than 2023 capacity so my bet is you get yours by this summer, not next year. I have a Mav AWD I show in videos on my channel but your T will be next level.

I think I prefer the Mav over the SC. If I go the to the CDN Build and Price site I can built a nice Mav for $46k. but if I find one at a dealer on Auto Trader the list is more than $56k. I’m not even compelled to try to workout a deal. I’m lucky enough to have time I on my hands. Maybe by the time I the insanity ends I’ll just buy a Ridgeline. Any misguided loyalty I might have had for an auto brand went out the door about 18 months ago.
I bought 2 at msrp by using the Ford build site - way before the long line. I recommend ordering a 2024MY this fall and wait. It will take a while but better than giving a $10k tip to your dealer. The Mav only videos on my channel can help you get through your wait. Ask any questions Mike.

I haven't seen a Maverick Pu in my area in over 4-5 months and even then they were not hybrid or the model/color I would want. Noticing how many Utubes video's say how great they are but yet none to be had or to be ordered. Getting tired of see so many video's on PU's that basically can't be had or ordered. Or in some cases will not be produced for maybe the next two model years (if at all)
@@fordmaverickmaniac not surprised. I think the deal here had a total of 5 since they came out. only two hybrid and the basic one at that. they went quick. Plus of course there was a market adjustment to them. So even though the MSRP was one price the reality was 3-5k higher.
@Hrdcore Paying above msrp is like throwing 5k out the window on the freeway and negates any fuel savings. That would have bought lots of fuel for a gas guzzler.
Ford can't get them in the hands of customers nor get ahead of quality concerns. Nice but not seemingly pointless for any new customers. They can build half a million F-150s but 80,000 Mavericks is to much to process.
Should of made a ST instead of a tremer. Drop it, up the HP to 300 or put another engine in it. Make it rwd with awd option. Put a front lip on it with summer only tire option and upgraded brake option
I have one and I hate the engine and transmission. Transmission shifts too early making you lug around town, I have to put it on Tow/Haul mode to keep the rpms above 2k. The engine isn't all that spirited and it feels laggy.
@emperorhsu untrue, it depends on dealer allocations and when dealers start getting their allocations. I ordered my Tremor the first available day. Still waiting on my build date, and I was 1 of 2 tremor orders at my dealership.
Needs Sync 4. Sync 3 is from the ice age.A full digital dash would be awesome too. It doesn't have to be built cheap. I shouldn't have to buy a F150 to get some luxury. I'm not a fan of the Ranger. Unless the US can get the new design.
Mozilla just did a report on the "Spyware" ALL AUTOMAKERS have been putting in their "SMART" cars and trucks. They harvest all sorts of data on your driving habits and behaviors. Hint: DON'T "SYNC" your smartphone to your vehicle....unless you are good with ALL of your phone's personal data being sold to anyone and everyone.
The 4 doors looks terrible…it’s just too small to have 4 doors. It should have an extended cab option. It would look much more balanced, you would get more bed space and overall it would just look better.
Wanted to like these. Seats are way to small and uncomfortable and the cockpit layout is just bizarre. All the little storage compartments along the console make no sense and look like they are to organize your screws or something. Fuqin weird. Cheap interior that rattles easily. Couple all this with Fords inability to repair the cars and trucks they sell, hard pass

I'll stick with my Fx4 and 4k Tow package Maverick over the Tremor. Mine is already built and will arrive this month. So excited.

They are making something like twice as many as last year so we should start seeing more of them on lots soon.

Love my fx4 , great in the snow and perfect for my work in landscaping .Low fuel costs and lots of power , by far the best vehicle I have ever owned

They can't make it any deeper. There's just not enough room to go any farther than it currently is.

For almost the same price due to mark-ups I found a great low-mileage Ranger Tremor that I like more every time I drive it. I have seen some recent price reductions on the Mavericks, but still high 30s or low 40s. That is insane to me.

@@jamesvela7820 I get it. The used market is almost worse that new. For example; my local Ford dealer is a msrp only dealer. Yet they have a used maverick hybrid xl on the lot right now listed for $40k. If people would just stop paying over msrp this bullshit would end real quick.
The ranger doesn’t come close to the fuel mileage of the maverick.

I like the Maverick, but I need a longer bed than that.
I would spec the maverick with lariat and fx4 package with 4k tow package and just change up the tires and maybe level or lift.

Not much leather offered in a lot of vehicles any more. The Mav Lariat is leather like ActiveX seats. You can see my XLT interiors on my channel. The seats look like denim.

I really like this truck, but for me a major fail is not offering the hybrid in AWD. It does not have to be an off road monster, but for general use, an AWD road worthy option should be offered. Come on Ford step it up.
It's too bad so many Maverick buyers are facing price gouging by dealers, not to mention, extremely-long wait times of over a year to take delivery. Ford would probably be happy to speed-up the wait if you opt for a Tremor, instead of a hybrid ('can't imagine why...).

I think I prefer the Mav over the SC. If I go the to the CDN Build and Price site I can built a nice Mav for $46k. but if I find one at a dealer on Auto Trader the list is more than $56k. I’m not even compelled to try to workout a deal. I’m lucky enough to have time I on my hands. Maybe by the time I the insanity ends I’ll just buy a Ridgeline. Any misguided loyalty I might have had for an auto brand went out the door about 18 months ago.

I bought 2 at msrp by using the Ford build site - way before the long line. I recommend ordering a 2024MY this fall and wait. It will take a while but better than giving a $10k tip to your dealer.

I haven't seen a Maverick Pu in my area in over 4-5 months and even then they were not hybrid or the model/color I would want. Noticing how many Utubes video's say how great they are but yet none to be had or to be ordered. Getting tired of see so many video's on PU's that basically can't be had or ordered. Or in some cases will not be produced for maybe the next two model years (if at all)
On my Mav road trip video series OC to PC, in over 700 miles of driving, the number of other Mavericks we saw on the road was a grand total of zero.
@@fordmaverickmaniac not surprised. I think the deal here had a total of 5 since they came out. only two hybrid and the basic one at that. they went quick. Plus of course there was a market adjustment to them. So even though the MSRP was one price the reality was 3-5k higher.
@Hrdcore Paying above msrp is like throwing 5k out the window on the freeway and negates any fuel savings. That would have bought lots of fuel for a gas guzzler.

Ford can't get them in the hands of customers nor get ahead of quality concerns. Nice but not seemingly pointless for any new customers. They can build half a million F-150s but 80,000 Mavericks is to much to process.

Drop it, up the HP to 300 or put another engine in it. Make it rwd with awd option. Put a front lip on it with summer only tire option and upgraded brake option
I have one and I hate the engine and transmission. Transmission shifts too early making you lug around town, I have to put it on Tow/Haul mode to keep the rpms above 2k. The engine isn't all that spirited and it feels laggy.
Problem is it should be 26k, not 45k+. Just nuts especially since it will be nothing but problems by 60,000 miles.
My non Tremor cost 27k. A Tremor XLT cost 31k, half the price of a F150. Ask any questions about the Mavs on my channel.

Tremor is way easier to get than a base hybrid. They are even asking people to switch. They are under allocated for the tremor.
Had you ordered when order banks were open you could have had your tremor for Christmas because it's not constrained.
@emperorhsu untrue, it depends on dealer allocations and when dealers start getting their allocations. I ordered my Tremor the first available day. Still waiting on my build date, and I was 1 of 2 tremor orders at my dealership.
I have two Mavericks. One Tremor and one Lariat Hybrid. Def not vaporware.

The 4 doors looks terrible…it’s just too small to have 4 doors. It should have an extended cab option. It would look much more balanced, you would get more bed space and overall it would just look better.
Wanted to like these. Seats are way to small and uncomfortable and the cockpit layout is just bizarre. All the little storage compartments along the console make no sense and look like they are to organize your screws or something. Fuqin weird. Cheap interior that rattles easily. Couple all this with Fords inability to repair the cars and trucks they sell, hard pass
