A truly miraculous effort at both the Nordschleife and La Sarthe. The only complaint I have is that there was no actual free to air coverage on TH-cam like there was with the 24hr of Nurburgring which was regrettable.

This was the first Le Mans I watched in earnest having always been a casual sportscar motor racing fan (mostly GT and AMLS here in the US) and a big fan of CART/Indy Car and F1 for 20+ years. It did not disappoint. Amazing race with a hyper competitive field lol. Absolutely thrilled for Ferrari and Giovannzi who I think finally got to showcase his quality as a driver in a great car. Ferrari's AF Corse team could lend a hand to the F1 squad in terms of race strategy! The Porsche and Peugeot's for me looks wise are stunning and I was really pulling for them but I think the latter truly demonstrated their concept was designed for Le Mans and was vindicated a bit. Being in a podium place after basically 12 hours the 94 car I think could have taken 3rd place if not for Menezes' crash. It was arguably the best hypercar in mixed wet/dry running in pace consistency and had great speed in the Dunlop and Porsche curves offsetting its 6, 7, 8 or so kph disadvantage on Mulsanne quite a bit. Cadillac also impressed and the highlight of their car was really their fantastic V8 and reliability. While one doesn't think of Cadillac for prototype endurance racing they have always known how to built great engines. The future is extremely bright with even more big manufacturers coming in for next year. I really think Porsche may eventually go for a high revving Flat 6 concept and an engine with a proven track record instead of the V8 they are using now for enhanced drivability in 24h races. Tough break for Toyota but deep down I was happy to see them lose as them popping off 6 in a row I don't think would've been the best outcome from an interest of WEC and attracting new fans. The car is also the least interesting looking one for me and looks like a generic modified LMP1. Actually surprised Toyota still wants to hang around as in the past major manufacturers after going on a 3-5 year period of dominance step away for a bit as they don't have anything else to prove. Toyota seems to be the exception to the trend just wanting to hang around forever and not pursue other series' other than rally. That said some debt of gratitude is owed to them for keeping top class endurance racing alive during the lowpoint at the end of the last decade after many manufacturers, particularly VAG group started to leave due to many factors from dieselgate, esg, stagnant regulations and a handful of other factors. IMSA and WEC look healthier than they've been in decades. Can't wait for the next race!
The last time Ferrari won at Le Mans in 1965, Jochen Rindt was one of their drivers. Fantastic win by Ferrari. Hopefully, this win inspires the F1 team to start winning races again.
I'm so happy for Corvette Racing, to come back from 2 laps down and then to win it is pretty amazing. So happy to be rooting for them and to witness them winning the last Le Mans of the GTE era. Genuinely one of the finest comebacks in Le Mans history in my opinion.
at least your RAV4 isnt artificially slowed down with 37kg BOP... lol ironic that Ferrari need Toyota to be severely handicapped with BOP to win LeMans, lets see them win without the politics
IKR, so heartbreaking, Rammed by a gte-am ferrari as well, lol Kamui did everything right slowing down for a slow zone(ironically caused by the 51 Ferrari hyper car..) only to be rammed by a potato bronze rated gte-am, I love endurance racing but hate the lack of talent in LMP2 and GTE(mostly millionaire middle age men with nothing else better to do..) causing random carnage
Hopefully this doesn’t make Toyota feel they are done with trying in Motorsports. Their 5 year win streak at Le Mans is probably what allowed those higher ups to agree to them pushing for more sports cars. That Lexus TT V8 hybrid sports car might be the last hurrah for ICE before Lexus is fully converting their lineup over to Hybrid and then eventually EV.
I couldn’t believe it as I watched it during the TV broadcast. This isn’t the 405 freeway where Toyotas are rear ended during the rush hour( sorry for the Southern California reference). How can a professional driver ran into another car、as they were approaching a slow zone due to an accident.
"Oh yeah, Corvette won and ran over someone's foot, I guess." What a disservice to the effort they put in. They went from poll to 2 laps down and came back to come back and win. They didn't even mention their epic battle with the Dames or how it was really only finally decided when the Dames had a mechanical failure.
Gotta say this race was everything it was hyped up to be, really great to see the top class have so much life again. For like half of the race, it felt like any of the hypercars could win, but every team ran into their own fair share of issues. That's endurance racing though, and to see Ferrari and Toyota stay so close until the end made for a great show. Can't wait for 2024
Bro, this race was stunning. None of my guys in Hypercar won, but congrats to Ferrari to add another mark to the board. Glad to see the #33 Corvette win GTE AM, and I was actually dancing when I learned that the NASCAR made the full 24 Hours.
There is so much you have not fitted into these 10 minutes. If anyone seeing this wasn't watching the race live, you missed an all-time classic. It didn't settle into any sort of rhythm until about 10 hours in!! Four different manufacturers led, the Jota privateer Porsche led, the GTE class was crazy (of 21 GT starters, only 9 finished)... this was a race for the ages. Totally deserving of all the hype in the lead-up to the 'Race of the Century'. There was also no mention here of 'Le NASCAR' despite it being the clear fan favourite.
As much as I love the NBA I wonder what is the the purpose of having one of its players waiving the start flag? Perhaps Brian Redman or Jacqui Icxx? Dereck Bell? You know old blokes who raced and won the event considering its the races centenary.

While the TV direction was not good at all, the race itself was amazing. 10/10 Le Mans this year. Would have liked to see more of the LMP2, GTEam and the Garage 56 entry
This video is a little better than the quali and practice packs from earlier in the event. Would love to hear some of the live commentary, and graphs to show the running order.
I was watching some of the race in Germany on Nitro and the commentators said, that a lot has been done for Toyota to not win again this year in Le Mans including additional weight. Can someone explain this further? Ferrari absolutely deserves the win but this gives everything as we say here „Geschmäckle“. Also Toyota continues to have bad luck with their better car being shot down (by a Ferrari GTE 🤦♂️)
Hypercars division Toyota and Ferrari are in have BOP (Balance Of Performance) to make the racing close BUT Toyota was severely handicapped with extreme BOP by the race organisers (needed to run 37kg ballast, smaller fuel tank, they have to use less power in between pitstops etc) controversially just before the LeMans started. Basically Ferrari won because they used politics to slow down Toyota which is the best car..
@@Adlata I think the revised BOP was spot on, the Ferrari and the Toyota spent many hours only 10-20 seconds apart and were trading fastest laps over the last two hours, the Toyota was only 10 seconds behind the Ferrari before they put the Japanese driver in to finish the race. He put the car off the road, if he had not done that Toyota would have won due to the problem for the Ferrari at the last stop. If the BOP had not been changed pre race they would have just driven to another victory and not been pushed as hard as they were to make that mistake.
To have a battle for the lead on the same lap for 20+ hours is just insane

Definitely a hero throughout the week and even in the race, I mean the car did passes on hypercars for God sake. And it finished the race, first time around and with lil to no mistake. Feels like a spit in the face to not see even a shout out.
Yes, this is a glaring omission. That car brought some much-needed excitement to Le Mans.
Do you think it's a political move by the FIA because they are pushing "green" racing with electric and hybrid vehicles?
@@sensualeye oh yeah totally a conspiracy to shun American V8s, when their own companies have already promised to stop making them
@@sensualeye I HIGHLY doubt that. If it was, the NASCAR cup car wouldn't have been granted entry into the race one way, or the other.
I think it's rather because they simply had a mostly clean run, aside from the long repair time when they had to change the transmission. And while I think Hendrick Motorsports & Garage 56 deserve a mention for getting it to the chequered flag, their run was rather uneventful overall.
Can you do extended highlights of maybe 1h for le mans? There was more than enough happening to fill that time.
I reckon they will, but normally, you get these "short" highlights ASAP and "long" highlights will be released later. I don't like it either, but that's how they do it, sadly.
Congratulations to the singing DHL lady for driving the longest out of anyone 👋

WEC highlights are finally competent. thank you
Meh. Where is the Garage 56 car?
As an F1 fan this Le Man has thoroughly got me in to Endurance Racing. It was so exciting to watch and amazing to watch Ferrari bring it home. Going to be watching the rest of the WEC and going to hopefully go to Le Man next year.
Can recommend this year's 24 h of the Nürburgring 'til the next round of WEC; it's available OFFICIALLY and in FULL here on TH-cam, just like the WEC season :)

I watched 21 of the 24 hours and I have to say this was the race of a lifetime to witness. I tip my hat to the gladiators in this sport who had to cope with what I consider to be the toughest conditions in any motorsport on the planet at any track, save for the Green Hell.
I had four screens running different onboards and telemetry and it was engrossing and captivating from start to finish. Well done to the Scuderia for making the impossible, possible. A truly miraculous effort at both the Nordschleife and La Sarthe.
The only complaint I have is that there was no actual free to air coverage on TH-cam like there was with the 24hr of Nurburgring which was regrettable.

You can not deny the Romantism of the Ferrari on the 100th LeMans and after almost 50 years off LeMans after almost 50 years by Ferrari. They could make a movie out of this
Why BoP?
Wec deserves more than 300k subs, should be like 10m or something
WHAT A RACE THIS WAS !!!! Really we had it all. What a spectacle ! 👏👏👏
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I wished you showed more of what happened in LMP2 and GTE classes
They prlly didn't because both classes will get removed/replaced from the calander soon and hypercar is brand new and the most exciting class
During the race itself as well, GTE often has really good racing, but the TV director focused like 60% on Hypercar, and the rest split between LMP2 and GTE.
@@mrp8008 GTE will be removed? what would it be replaced with? GT3? that's almost the same, mainly a name change as the cars are almost the same looking. And LMP2, although I'm not a huge fan of it, again, what would it be replaced with? It would be nice if they made a grid that had more classes with less cars than 3 classes + the Cup Car, but again, what would you replace the current grid with?
@@garbage2882 Ther are gonna be a lot more brands joining hypercar class, so lmp2 will be completely irrelevant
@@jonomir_777 WEC always had more than one class, if we only had one or two, it would make it different to how it used to be, and while it may be easier to follow as a viewer, it would also mean that there is less action for the lead, as there would be less categories fighting for the lead
As a big Ferrarist once said: To Finish first, first you have to finish ... and Ferrari did everything right ... and deserved this win!!! So so happy
BRAVO!!!! Sports Car racing is back with actual competition and cool cars again!!!
Corvette winning its class really is a testament to it's superiority.
What a thrilling race this was. As a Ferrari fan I will never forget all the emotions and happiness I felt when Ferrari won. Absolutely fantastic!
I'm so happy for Corvette Racing, to come back from 2 laps down and then to win it is pretty amazing. So happy to be rooting for them and to witness them winning the last Le Mans of the GTE era. Genuinely one of the finest comebacks in Le Mans history in my opinion.
This was the best Le Mans I have seen sofar. So much actions all over the field. Can’t wait till next year with more Hypercars and the GT3 cars.
Congratulations to Ferrari, and a big Congratulations to the Corvette team 👏 way to go out in style!!!!!! Can't wait for next year's LeMans
Yeah I was a bit worried at the start for Corvette but they did amazing job later on. Well done.

F1 squeezes 7 minutes Highlights out from a 70-80 minute race.
WEC media needs to get better, instead the race needs to get better in F1
They didn't even feature what happened to the #50 Ferrari
F1's highlights are 50% grid walk though
Bro they have long hightlights and full race replay while F1 didnt
Theyll upload the full 24 hours soon enough
Never heard of this b4 GT movie now I’m hooked
The whole race was incredible to watch........Sportscars are back, big time!!!!!!!
Great race, but I think the title should be "Full Hypercar Race Highlights" shame you only mention other classes at the end for such a short time
As an owner of a Toyota RAV4 V6 AWD and Ferrari F430 60th Anniversary… I rooted for #51. Toyota did great too. Amazing 100th anniversary of Le Man.
at least your RAV4 isnt artificially slowed down with 37kg BOP... lol ironic that Ferrari need Toyota to be severely handicapped with BOP to win LeMans, lets see them win without the politics
@@Adlata Ferrari had to add 24KG so the delta was 13KG or 28.6LB. Both cars were good. It came down to drivers and some luck with heavy rain.
3:12 The 07 Toyota getting rammed from behind and being forced to retire was truly heartbreaking.
it is part of the minion.
@Adlata very True. Odd that one of the top level motorsport categories has such inexperienced drivers.
I couldn’t believe it as I watched it during the TV broadcast. This isn’t the 405 freeway where Toyotas are rear ended during the rush hour( sorry for the Southern California reference). How can a professional driver ran into another car、as they were approaching a slow zone due to an accident.
To have such an incredible race with such poor coverage is an absolute shame. 10 minutes of highlights for a 24 hour race is abysmal.
AF Corse has done it again lezzgooo
Le Mans this year was legendary hopefully it's even better with more hypercars in 2024
Great Ferrari no other team creates a bigger fan base or interest
Congratulations Italy 🇮🇹
Wow didnt see the end this is amazing win for Ferarri ❤️respect 👏
One of the best 24h Le Mans since 2016
A fantastic event. Well done to Ferrari, and Corvette.
"Oh yeah, Corvette won and ran over someone's foot, I guess."
What a disservice to the effort they put in. They went from poll to 2 laps down and came back to come back and win. They didn't even mention their epic battle with the Dames or how it was really only finally decided when the Dames had a mechanical failure.
No mention of Garage 56 and their amazing run to the checkered flag with a NASCAR Chevy Camaro.... Epic job by that team, poor recapping from WEC
Can't wait for 2024
The recap misses the crucial point where the Ferrari didn't start for the second time.
these car all beautiful the design is amzing
Crazy race and great job by everyone! I didn’t see Ferrari winning tbh sad for kamui too and no garage 56 recap at all?
Davvero, che sfortuna la n.7, era la toyota più in palla in gara

There is so much you have not fitted into these 10 minutes. If anyone seeing this wasn't watching the race live, you missed an all-time classic. It didn't settle into any sort of rhythm until about 10 hours in!! Four different manufacturers led, the Jota privateer Porsche led, the GTE class was crazy (of 21 GT starters, only 9 finished)... this was a race for the ages. Totally deserving of all the hype in the lead-up to the 'Race of the Century'. There was also no mention here of 'Le NASCAR' despite it being the clear fan favourite.
no way they had lebron at the le mans lol

One of the best races I've watched. Really, really awesome stuff.
how can there only be 10 minutes of highlights from a 1440 minute race
They will publish 30 min extended highlights soon.
Wow, CONGRATS everyone involved! Great Event!
As much as I love the NBA I wonder what is the the purpose of having one of its players waiving the start flag? Perhaps Brian Redman or Jacqui Icxx? Dereck Bell? You know old blokes who raced and won the event considering its the races centenary.
"Diversity, Equity and Inclusion"...
I loathe LeBron James as he's one of the most racist people on the planet, so why was this guy, who knows absolutely FUCK ALL about motorsport being given the extreme honor of waving them off?? It makes absolutely ZERO sense.
Commercialization of the sport. Tim cook's checkered flag at Cota made lbjs starter flag look halfway decent. Both are clearly not interested in the sport tho.
Ya I was perplexed by it too. Sorry but I doubt there is much shared interest between NBA and LeMans.
I agree. Also as an American,
get that whiney ass "LeBaby" off the track. Political athletes like him already ruining our sports in the US, so they can stay the f**k away from racing atleast.
@DoWorkNP fellow 'merican! for real. Not to mention the fact that lbj speaks out on historical slavery even though China still has a slave economy to this day. Dude is so trash.
This was such a great race from start to finish.

Great recap of the race. i COMPLETELY MISSED IT THIS YEAR!
Thats violent 24h of full Action and this people cut It to 10 min.
This could've easily been a 15-20min video, but from what I've found on TH-cam and then these highlights the racing was crazy from battles to crashes mainly was like an F1 Open Lobby out there 😂 I hope everyone is all good and safe and sound if not I hope for a speedy speedy recovery, but all around great racing congrats to Ferrari
Make it an hour of Highlights
Good and Great job to "all" the teams. Thanks to all for commitment to safety and all the rest will follow
This was one of the best Le Mans races of all time, congrats to Ferrari but as a GM fan, awesome Cadillac finished third on the podium and Corvette won GTE!
While the TV direction was not good at all, the race itself was amazing. 10/10 Le Mans this year. Would have liked to see more of the LMP2, GTEam and the Garage 56 entry
No highlight for the first NASCAR since 1970? Okay.
Frenchies...
Bro I fell on the floor when LeBron showed up with the flag wave 😂😂
The video didn't mention what happened to ferrari no50 in the night which would probably have costed a 1-2 ferrari
Would've been Toyota 1-2 without ridiculous BOP
2023 lemans= FIArrari ONLY won due to politics getting their nearest competitor BOP'ed into oblivion
@@Adlata well. It's crystal clear your knowledge about BOP is equal to zero
@@Adlataomg the bullshits and the bias is flying so high ...

Best Le Mans in Years!
Toyota fumbled it when they stuck to their policy of "Japanese driver always takes the last stint" instead of experienced and fast Buemi...
Fabio Scherer driving to the win with a broken foot is insane
6:26 Giovannardi, lol.
Honnestly this race deserve to have a 20 min highlights. So many Things happen during the race
