    his fh was insane, no doubt but his footwork was more insane, his ability to reach was out of this world,

    he has the strongest forehand in terms of power, no one can match up to him. his footwork none the less was even stronger. ma long and xu xin have more consistency with forehand but no one can match ryu footwork and forehand power. simple as that

      it would seem so because Ryu does a lot of "one hit wonder" shots by throwing his whole body weight into the shot and not expecting to recover. When Ma and Xu do those type of shots around the corner they are just as powerful. All 3 of them have nearly perfect forehand technique to utilize full body strength.

    JPEN design is all about power and mad spinny Loops. it does not excel in 'control' play though, so for Offensive players...a JPEN was the weapon that tormented others. if you have 3 Blades that use the same wood and thickness....1 Shakehand,1 CPEN and 1 JPEN.... the JPEN is always the most powerful blade due to the point of concentrated power at the upper part of the blade head.
    Yes, the sweet spot is smaller on a JPEN compared to the CPEN and Shakehand which are more forgiving...but when you have an insane player like RYU SEUNG MIN at his prime with his equally insane footwork using a JPEN, what we witnessed are some of the most ferocious and powerful FH in table Tennis history.
    For those who havent tried a JPEN...try one for fun. it's FUN!

      The power of topspin is ryu is strongest
      and second is wang hao, and third is xu xin
      When asked "How about ma long?"
      Joo answered "Not that level"

      @@ananiaskim582 well joo got absolutely demolished by ma long in 2014 Asian games you should see how much top spin ma long could induce with his forehand that match.
      Besides, ma long back in wang hao days still wasn’t as perfect as 2015 Ma long.
      Last but not least, penhold is literally made for forehand. So it’s only natural that xu xin wang hao RSM have “better” forehands than ma long however he can match them and keep up with them in top spin rallies even though he’s shake hand which goes to show how good his forehand is

      @@yeagerist977 Ma Long's more well rounded and strategical than any of them but raw FH power probs #1 is Ryu. Compared to any other shakehand player Ma Long's FH is definitely #1 though.
