Excellent review! Great quality video, too. Love the desk mat!
Thanks! Thanks for leaving a kind comment too
Honestly for budget ballers this is all you need, it's like a no frills wooting
Yeap agreed!
Great video. Thank you
Welcome!
Nice vid mate
Thanks!
I agree the usb opening is in a bad place. it wouldn't fit in the fancy resin cases other 60/65/68% keyboards can.
For me I just hate that I can't use any of my cables because of the angle
@@itssamueltan Just get a usb C 90°/L shaped adapter fam 😂.
We've got *at least* 6 female-male usb c adapter shapes in the tech world for good reason lol
Im not sure if i missed it but i was wondering if it supported the analog movement similar to wooting. Where you can do partial key press on wasd to move very slowly.
Hey it should be possible with the software, under DKS or MT but u need to mess around in there to really find out
Do you know anything about the ZiFriend M68? It's also a magnetic switch keyboard.
Yes I have, and I think it's the same keyboard tbh
is this the best budget wooting keyboard if i do not want to mod the keyboard? i was deciding whether to get this or the DrunkDeer G60
Hmm the drunkdeer G60 definitely looks better imo. But I think they both sound the same
How is this keyboard for FPS games like Valorant and CS2?
It's great, much more precise movements and less delay
What's the difference between the M61, K683 and K617 if any other the obvious cosmetics? Has there been a teardown?
The M61 and K683 are the same, they have the same internals and case. The K617 just has a different case and keycap design. I think the internals are the same for all 3
can i put some pe foam 😅
Yes
hey, i was wondering if i should buy this or the wooting 60he
Get the wooting if you can afford it tbh
Has compatiblity with Raptor or Gateron Switches?
Honestly I'm not too sure, they have a different bottom design for the HE switch. Maybe if you file down the feet they can fit
Is the 8k polling automatic? I cant find a switch for it on the software.
Yea it should be on automatically
Will it give same performance in gaming as wooting ?
Or there is noticable difference
Well tbh, the specs are comparable. But Wooting has a much better software and it's more effective to use. So for me paying more is worth it if you're really competitively gaming
Hi, does this comes with metal base or is it 100 percent plastic build?
The case and materials are 80-90% plastic, only the plate is steel
anything in full size ??
As of now I think the only full-size is from SteelSeries, the Apex Pro
@@itssamueltan THE PRICE BRO😥
should i get this one or the atk68 ?
Well the atk68 is double the price and seems to have almost the same features/specs.
@@itssamueltan hmmm but i dont really trust red dragon and i hate their software so idk
@@adamsekkat593 hahaha I see, then maybe just get the atk68
k701 or this
I think it's the same PCB and Switches, just the case and keycaps are different. Just pick which one you prefer
For a price infinitely cheaper than wooting… They really need to make it a bit more expensive if the keyboard is this good..
Well, cheaper is good. But the software needs some work
I like the idea of magnetic switches for gaming, but at the same time, I see them as a gimmick. Unless you are a pro gamer that needs every little advantage you can get, the magnetic switches are kinda overkill for the average player IMO. But I do like the fact they don´t have pins that can accidentally bend when putting them on the keyboard.
As far as the 8000 polling rate, that´s kinda overkill as well. That high polling rate puts a lot of stress on a CPU. A 1000 polling rate is more than good enough and it doesn´t tax the CPU as much. And yes, the location of the USB C port on the side is just dumb.
I agree with most of your points, but we need products like this to slowly push the markets forward as well. Competition is also great for us users, so in the future we can get better products at lower prices.
As for now, magnetic switches are more of a gimmick, but maybe in the future it will become the standard.
Nah, even usual gamers can see benefit in shooters.
The fact that key press turns off instantly makes strafing just feel better.
sweaty gamers have their keyboards at 90° angle so the cable on side is not that bad, we're lucky the cable isnt on the other side though 😂
Not really, polling rate is not hard on CPU, if you think it's the same as 8k with mouse it's day and night difference.
Everything else is technology going forward, 20 years ago they thought 100hz polling rate is good enough.
Also missed the point completely on magnetic switches, the advantage is that you can set them as sensitive as you want, you can trigger them in multiple places depending on the setting (half push for walk, full push for run), you have rapid trigger, SOCD. Comparing them to mechanical switches for gaming is like comparing a wooden cart to a car.
For office it doesn't matter of course, but for gaming and FPS especially, it's light years ahead
never drift keyboard
That's one way of saying it 🤣
what?
@@shockat5070 bro never heard stick drift?
@@g33k_Techstick drift in a keyboard wth is that
