@marcusjones9084 I learned that when people say broken they don't mean broken op, they just mean it's a super easy, braindead, brainrot 50/50 strings character that just spam away and uses gimmicks to crush and evade retaliation, leaving everything in the hands of the opponent. And they are not wrong. Eddy is 100% that guy. All the Eddy players in blue ranks I fought had 40 defense and barely 60 in other stats outside of attack. It's like yoshimitsu players, having abysmal defense stat cuz they don't block, they spin away and start the bs all over again, knowledge checking and flowcharting away. Or whoring players (nice. Whore and boring in one word), just doing the dumb spinning sidestep punch. Or bad Paul players doing THAT shoulder remove that moves him across space and time. Or Asuka and Jun players doing the backflip and constant auto parries. Or lame dj players doing the dumb divekick. Or reina doing the dumb homing spin in the ground kick. Etc... players using these characters usually have abysmal stats. Well of course, can't forget about the safe high armored moves. OF COURSE dlc Eddy has it. Eddy is not op if you know the match up really well. If you don't, you might as well just throw the game cuz you don't even play Tekken at that point, you just defend all day and get crushed. Like vs alisa and xioayu. I hate these gimmick characters. There's too many of them in Tekken 8. They simplified them too much and "modernized" what they shouldn't have. Eddy playing by itself by just spamming 3 is pure brainrot. And it works at all levels. Like noctis' 2222 string. Or Katarina's 4444. Eddy is objectively too dumb as a character.
