- Hey everyone Rho here! Today we're discussing the current Fabricator General of Mars and head of the Adeptus Mechanicus, Raskian! As we ask just where is he? Is he back on Mars or did he suffer a darker fate?
Spoiler Warning to begin as today we will be referencing events from across the Warhammer 40,000 universe! As well as specifically the Vaults of Terra series novel "The Dark City" by author Chris Wraight. As always I really recommend you read the stories for yourself first without spoilers! As that's the best way to enjoy the lore for yourself!

The drukari should kidnap magnus for their throne. That would be a hilarious twist.
They'd need to get the ultramarines to help put him in a box to ship to the webway😂

@@leandrocastello309 At the very least it's an excuse to keep Magnus active in the setting and the Drukari relevant while not interfering with the rest of the storylines. And if they fail to prevent any major changes then they don't have to kill off any named characters and give some abstract devastating number loss to the Drukari that means nothing in the long run.

I always understood the powerbalance as such;
The Big Three. Admech, Church and Administratum are the most central High Lords. The Church and State have broad power everywhere, and the Admech has concentrated power on its own worlds. In exchange for not interfering much in Imperial Politics, the Church and State leaves the Admech alone in their own domains.
In addition I think it's understood that Mars can be "sovereign" but only as long as they continue to supply the Imperium with technology. If they ever stop, Mars would be invaded pretty much instantly.
It's also important to note that the mechanicus has an extremely powerful military in its own right, and considering it has functioning central authority is probably far more capable at wielding its power than an Imperial contemporary
Those calling Cawl an Heretic would surely call Raskian an Heretic too, one innovate (allegedly) and the other straight up gives access to the Golden Throne to a bunch of Drukharii
Did anything ever happen to Mars after they created that one super Primarch robot thing in the webway that betrayed everyone? I wonder why that wasn’t enough to go to
War with Mars. That robot primarch thing probably could’ve helped out with webway battle a lot.
What super primarch robot thing ? I'm super intrigued but can't find anything with a google search. Any pointers ?
@@chrisgood8438 I believe it was the Archimandrite. It was a huge robot made by the mechanicus. But it ordered the retreat during the war of the webway so all of Mars’ forces left behind imperium to fight the demons alone.
It was mostly missed in the conflict, and they all died anyway

This series together with the watchers of the throne books provide the best and most detailed look at Terra in the current Era Indomitus. Add in Avenging Son and Cypher: Lord of the Fallen and you've got a great snapshot of the throneworld as experienced by a wide variety of perspectives.
When I read The Dark City I thought that the Fabricator General would never endanger himself like that, so I like the backup/repository theory, more specifically I would go with the idea that what we see in the book is a sort of ambassador of himself. While the "real" Raskian is safe and sound on Mars, there is a mobile version of him attending business on Terra or wherever he is needed, and somehow connected with the Raskian on Mars. Whether we're talking about a copy or a detached portion of himself is up for speculation. There's so much we don't know about the Mechanicus, I don't feel like it's that big of a stretch to assume that the Fabricator General has access to some spicy technology from the Dark Age to bring the unthinkable into reality, and I really like the idea. 😁

Raskian is going to appear from some web way with a group of friendly Drakari agreeing to fix the golden throne
Who’s to say Raskier was ever physically there to begin with and wasn’t just controlling a servitor from a great distance
Chris Wraight is my favorite author overall but my absolute favorite novel is by Mike Brooks. Chris Wraight really does the Custodes proud and advances some amazing lore while Mike Brooks' Lion is my absolute favorite character in all 40k. This new returned Lion is so relatable and likable. With that said, I think Wraight's Vaults of Terra and Watchers of the Throne series are must reads in the current setting. But a HUGE problem with GW lore is that they often leave it incomplete or just kill story arcs. Ynarri, Octarius, etc. They were built up as something and then just wilted away. I feel this will happen to this latest Nid invasion near Terra, I feel absolutely nothing will come of it. So would we know if there is a new Fabricator General? Do we think that GW even knows?
If he had no biology then Drukhari would not be interested - they would see him as a "weird machine", not a useful source of suffering.

he s superior to cawl because he s wiser, i can not imagine cawl saying "i can t do this is beyond my understanding" lol. Probably he s able to retain all of his memories or something like that.
I know this may be unpopular but the Cawl plot line is STINKING of a certain Ca’Tan we all know

Raskian can be disassemble in the book the emperor's legion the mentioned when he came to earth that had to prepare his installation in the room were all the high lord meet
Am I the only one that when they try and think of what Raskian might look like, they can only think of the wall that told riddles in the kids show knightmare?

Well if the core issue of this story scares even the Mechanicus so badly that they commit ET levels of heresy here. I'd say that heresy be damned we should probably listen to what they have to say.

I’d say the High Lord of the Adminastratum is weirdly probably the most powerful personally. Didn’t one of the novels suggest this? I think Raskin is probably dead at the end the book. Though it hasn’t been clearly stated in it later novels I don’t see this as much against it, it could have happened off camera and not be mentioned again till some future point when GW want to bring up the Fabricator again as a plot point.
Honestly I was sure Raskian was gone till now... damn I was very pissed of Navradaran being gone (his interacion with Aleya made me laugh out loud), not a big fan of Raskian AND a super duper fan of Belisarius Cawl so not really bthered if the room sized comps is gone. I don't think there will be a confrontation between Cal and the Fab.Gen, whatever or whomever this one will be. what I cannot wait to see is a confrontation between Cawl and Cawl "inferior" with the potential of somebody finding out that there is a Bobby G minime... let see in the (hopefuly near) future what will come out from new books

Vaults of Terra was a weird trilogy, because a lot of the major plot points were barely believable and really stretching the imagination. The senile Inquisitor was annoying, and the ending was so dumb because it made the entire thing a complete waste of time.

We need more tech priests of note, Raskian would be a great special character
I feel like he could be killed off especially with Vashtorr's introduction and the Cawl inferior "malfunctioning" to Gorrillaman about instating Cawl as fab general could all be a big ploy by Vashtorr to get the one tech priest who actually invents/pushes progress and indoing so would empower Vashtorr.
