      Hi there....
I would like if it is possible that you will make a video tutorial with a photo that I took a few days ago but at the time of editing it to correct the colors and lights sometimes I burn it or I do not have the real and natural colors ..... Yes it is possible here I leave my whatsapp
+5352947911 to send you the raw photo ... Greetings from Cuba
By the way, the tutorial is very good

@@malonecustomdesigns Well its nice to see what you are doing for those of us who don't know the controls and I found it very helpful as at times people will be clicking or making changes so fast that I cannot follow. To make everyone happy perhaps a picture in picture :) Great Video!

Jay Malone Thanks a lot for this tutorial, I loved it!! However I have to agree with OP. I also wish to see the image changing. I don't think it makes sense to see the sliders instead, as nothing there changes but only the level/number (which you also mention out loud) and there's no need to see that. Seeing how the image changes is the interesting and useful part for learning :)

A good starter tutorial, thanks! I create brochures and displays for a construction-type company and end up with a lot of photos that look dark and dull just like your tractor image, so this really helped me. A couple suggestions--some may be echoed in other comments but I don't have time to peruse them all... 1) Please drop the music. It just becomes an irritant over and over. 2) We don't need frequent shots of your face/speaking. :) Just stay on the image so we have more time to process/understand what we're seeing. 3) A quick before/after flip after EACH adjustment would be helpful so we can better understand exactly what each adjustment is doing. 4) I'm ...astonished that you would save in a lossy format such as JPG, and THEN bring that back into Photoshop for more editing! Why not save in a non-lossy format such as TIF or, perhaps, as .PSD? Thanks again.

Loved the video and the final look of the tractor. Went from ordinary photo to a stunning piece of art. What a great job!
I do have a question: I was unclear why you saved the image as a JPG and then applied further edits (the vignette). Don't you have to save the image again now, thus double compressing the image? And won't that wind up with a little quality loss? Is there a way to take the image directly from ACR into Photoshop, keeping it as a native raw file, apply the vignette to the raw file, and only have to save out the final jpg one time instead of two?
Thanks again for the great video. Loved it.

You are very welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. You might could keep it in the RAW format and add the vignette in photoshop like you mentioned. Editing the RAW format in Photoshop Camera Raw is the best way. By checking 'Open in Photoshop as Smart Objects' in Camera RAW options and saving the file as PSD, you can always return back to the settings you've made in ACR and change settings by double clicking on the Smart Object Thumbnail in the Layers panel.

Could you please do a similar video with a portrait? Would love to see how you edit people photography. This was super helpful, thank you!

I'll see what I can do sometime. I will say that my portraits normally require very little editing in Camera RAW. Especially the ones that I shoot in my studio! Great, consistent lighting is a timesaver!

What is difference bt vibrance and saturation?

    • @malonecustomdesigns
      @malonecustomdesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Saturation adds and an overall boost in colors. Vibrance does it's best to protect skin tones from getting too much color.

Very important question, how to duplicate a raw smart object and make the other unique? cause when I edit the other in camera raw, the
    settings are applied to all.

Awesome stuff and really clear! .. just a question; where did you focus? Which spot on the tractor?

Rick Leeman thanks!!! It's been a while back, but if I remember correctly, I focused on the cab of the tractor.

I like your style, easy to follow and to the point. I did subscribe and a thumbs up. What I was hoping to find was a tutorial beyond just moving the sliders in camera raw. If you have a video using the camera raw filters, brush, and the balance of the tools, please reply. Thanks

Hi Jay: Good video - explained quite simply. Would love to see a video on using ACR for a pure landscape image - like hills, rivers, waterfalls etc (not the sunset / sunrise / cloud - cloud ones). Thks
