- Thank you to our patron Heidi for this awesome Drumonday pick! Yoyoka has really become one of my favorite new drummers. Even at NINE she was insanely talented. Her fundamentals are wildly on point for her age and she haves so MUCH FUN... I love it. The song may be overplayed to death but Yoyoka has given it new life!

I've been watching her for years. She's fantastic.
She was amazing .. I couldn't take my eyes off her
I believe she has an album coming out soon. I have seen her play guitar also.
She played drums for a friend of mine recently in LA.
She’s a joy.
Cali 3?
She really adds that excitement to the song. Top class studio drummer already.
The snare, 'the yellow one' is a long time favourite. It is a Sonor. She plays bass and sometimes with bands instead of the drums. She also plays keyboards and guitar. Her real talent is the ability to inhabit the music get right inside it. Eventually she will be an awesome producer.
Yoyoka is absolutely amazing!
this girl has so much talent and drive..
at her age i was still chewing crayons
I preferred the cherry flavored ones.
Right!
Thanks for the great reaction L33! YOYOKA is amazing! Her parents are musicians and had instruments all over the house. They had a band and YOYOKA used to literally crawl over to the drum kit she was 1 y.o. until finally the drummer picked her up and put her on his lap. Then it was all over! That is when she began her career at 1.5 y.o. By age 3 (maybe before) she was doing videos of playing full songs. We've asked her in her Zoom Calls to always do her trademark "Stick Wave" no matter how old she gets. So far, at almost 15 she is still doing it. The flair you are referring to is what her fans call "The YOYOKA Effect". You will see it in many of her videos, making already great songs sound even better. When she was 6 y.o. She told the members of the band that if they played the song they were playing "this way, it will sound better". They all kind of looked at each other like "who is this little kid". Then they tried it her way and it indeed sounded better.
Very dear Mr. Black, good evening and I still love your interventions so much.
@@namorlam Thanks Namorlam! Hello and good evening... Appreciate your appreciation...lol Where do you live? You might have told me, maybe in a live stream. I'm in Las Vegas. Robert Yule and I have our premium tickets to YOYOKA's first album release of her own original songs, to be released Oct 13 in Hollywood. Are you anywhere near there? Robert is flying down from Canada for it!
@@Glen.Black. Hello Mr.Black, to answer you I live in Sherbrooke in the province of Quebec in Canada. And what an opportunity for you to go to the release of Yoyoka's album it should really be a special and emotional moment. Strangely I have the same date of birth as Yoyoka which is October 12 but a little older, hihihihi. Your comments allow me to stay connected with the world of Yoyoka and thank you.
Time to get your kid on the drums Lee!! 😂😂😂❤
she is mind blowing!!!
Incredible
Gifted girl 💕
She´s now drumming at Vinnie Colaiuta levels! She belongs to the big cats realm for sure...
She has such feel for music, always in the pocket and able to play almost any genre. She is now a pro at 14 and has been sitting in on some gigs as guest drummer at the Whisky A GoGo playing classic rock and also doing gigs with a jazz fusion band.
Thank you, Lee! She is so cute and accomplished 🤯
Thanks Heidi. A musical savant, that little child is.
@@realbser1956My pleasure, Barry!
Savant is an accurate description! This child truly is.
a drum prodigy..... she is
Thanks for the comments and it's true that Yoyoka is really in a class of her own. She was born to play drums. lol :)
My motto for the 20s at my age is remembering to get to the toilet in time.
😂😂😂😂😂❤
I saw her on some TV show. Lee, did you look like this at her age? Damn the drumstick is longer than her arm. Love her striped socks to match her shirt.
I'm burning my kits!!!!! I've been playing for 60 years and I'm not worthy enough to carry her stick bag! Ambassador Jenkins
Wonder if Pearl Drums has ever thought of using her in commercials?
She’s been a Pearl ambassador for a few years now
She parted ways with Pearl.....Ludwig came a knocking & she's now fully endorsed by them with her own signature kit🤙
@@HT-io1egthey had their chance when she moved to the US but provided $&@k all. Thus as mentioned she is now with Ludwig
This is several years ago - Check out her Sting cover OMG!
Not sure why??? But this tune reminded me of a BEETLES COVER TUNE by the Flying Lizards: "I want your Money"
It’s called Money and is not a Beatles original song.
She’s much older now, 13? 14? Practically pension age. And graduated to Tool covers if you can believe it. Yeah, playing Danny Carey. And she kills it
And playing the whisky-a-go-go on the regular in LA.
(In the thumbnail…is Lee being blown away by Yoyoka…?!)
She's really good, and Bruno Mars is not my kind of music but he is an incredibly talented Bad Ass.
What's a snare drum tase like?
Tase?

This doesn't come close to what she has done. She played Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times," that seasoned Rock drummers can't play. Robert Plant saw her, and said," If Bonzo was alive, he'd be going nuts right now." She is sensational. This song just didn't allow her to show her real talent.
Not so fun, sorry Maybe you could do something from Zildjian Live or Drumeo
Dude, you must be trolling bot.
