Volt is actually very reliable considering that GM has something to prove with the car and wanted to make it perfect, so they didn't take many risks with it.
The Volt is still proving it's reliability.. Two of them caught fire when the car first came out. When randomly caught fire after it had been repaired from a crash. I don't think the Prius has had such issues.
Wow this build quality is better than the 2010 which is the same generation. The plastic surrounding the volume control on the 2010 is uneven and everything looks bent. And it's a IV trim which is top trim and its only missing is the self-parking system and adaptive highway cruise system. BTW you don't need to remove the head rest cause it's not removable, there is a button that collapses the head rest.

makes a better backup power supply than a car, would be safer if ya took the wheels off it, & I think my 181k mile Mustang GT has done less damage to the environment :B
An Oh shit handle! Haha The back seat headrest has another latch that sends the headrest forward so the seat lays down flat. Also the lack of padding and thicker plastics is how they get the mileage on mark. This one is a base model as well.
my mom actually has this car, and i can drive it and sit in the back really comfortably yea but i do agree with the center console being a bit fat... i have really high knees and i kinda bang on it sometimes.. :P but with my driving, i get around 56 mpg on the highway which is really nice...
we can't really expect the car to be really nice because the hybrid system is really expensive. so to keep the cost down for majority of the people buying this car, the rest of the car had to be a bit on the cheap side... :P if you want a better interior, get the higher level prius
Even if it is I would still rather have a Honda insight or Civic hybrid. BUT I cannot wait for the 2013 Jetta hybrid :D 1.4 Turbo with a hybrid system and an actual 7 speed DSG transmission not a damn CVT :D

I have this exact car and color (mine has the solar roof), and it's not beige, but it's more of a gold, which is not a very common color for cars. I am very pleased with my Prius! I recommend it.
