they are more like dogs I've heard that you can train them like one which is the strangest thing to me they are also know as the smartest spiders in the world
Your videos have actually helped me overcome my arachnophobia. Never in my life would I have ever thought spiders were cute!! They always terrified me, but they aren't all scary. They're just living their lives too!! Thank you for your videos. May you continue to inspire others to not judge our 8-legged friends.
your relationship with Tom feels like he’s your drug dealer, but your drug is spiders😂 *random text from tom* want some more jumpers? *you* yeah I’ll take a few *me* dies of laughter
the jumping spider after pumpkin spice is literally such a beauty queen! I love how she pranced onto your hand then hopped right into her enclosure. so precious
I’ve always found it fascinating that no matter how scary or unsightly you might find a creature, all it takes is watching one or two videos of someone who genuinely loves the creature in order to suddenly see them in a new light. I’m very scared of spiders, and while I don’t think I will ever be fully cured of my phobia, videos like these really do help me appreciate them a lot more!! But I think I’ll stick to admiring them from a distance 😅
same but jumpers saved me man. you should try one they are awesome and so easy to take care of! let me know if you need recommendations on where to order
As a plant person, I recommend getting a full pothos plant from a local store, and simply cutting off a leaf with a node and putting it in water, it will grow roots and become it's own plant at no cost to you!
Seeing you handle the spiders so well and call them cute makes me like them more. I don’t like spiders but I am starting to like them now! And yes I agree, jumping spiders are ADORABLE!
Youre the only lady i know of who actually enjoys being sent a big box of spiders. Most people would be horrified. Also, its good that youre having fun breeding the jumping spiders. Thats the most important part
I really enjoy watching your channel. The content you produce has helped me to overcome my immense fear of spiders. I now catch and release them when they come in the house. Today I found a teeny tiny jumping spider on the floor and was able to catch it on some toilet paper, it then ran up onto my hand and sat there looking at me. We had a nice conversation and then I took it outside. It was magical. Thank you 😊
I think Pumpkin Spice has become my new favorite spider of yours to watch. Those green fangs and orange body are too cute. I am so excited to see the velvet spider slings grow up as well!

My anxiety is at an all time high right now😳😳😳 But some how I can't stop watching! She has a way of making you not so afraid of spiders, with how soothing she talks, and how calm she is with them. I'm so terrified of spiders that I can't even imagine being in the room with one 😱 She's super cool, and I loved watching her decorate their cute little homes❤️
I love that you're messy while building enclosures. I can't do anything without getting dirt everywhereeee. Also that music was so cute and the spiders are THE CUTEST.
Aww more jumping spiders. They are so cool, and interesting to watch. I have 6 jumping spiders 12 spiderlings and 2 different Mantises, and 18 cats... Cats aren't allowed in the bug room. I love how jumping spiders just watch you, and I've noticed how they watch me, just as I'm feeding them. Just such curious creatures.
First time seeing spiders as pets and i am afraid of spiders but i have to say a huge thankyou! The jumping spiders are adorable changed me completely! ❤️🤗
You should buy a couple full size pathos plants then take clippings from them. They grow like crazy and the clippings are very easy to root. I put my clippings in my fish tank or in a cup of water.
I love your videos so much! I can handle seeing spiders and seeing them in the house, in the same room with me...but I still flip when they're super close or touching me. Considering I could never even look at them without goosebumps, i think I'm warming up to them 😅
Oh my goodness. So I worked at FedEx at the time this video was filmed, and I would often handle packages identical to the one they open. It gave me extreme anxiety to handle those boxes, because I was so scared of harming whatever creature was inside. Plus, FedEx (and the mailing/shipping process in general) is never kind to whatever you're sending/receiving, because it's time consuming, and we had quotas we had to hit, or else there was a threat of write-ups. Long story short!!! This unboxing really eases residual anxiety (of unintentionally harming a cute lil pet type friend) from that job. Getting to see how cozy they could get in the padding for the box was a major relief! Thank you Kat for making fun and super informative videos! I feel a lot more confident about getting an eight legged fuzzy baby someday!

I LOVE jumping spiders! I just have the little regular ones that I find outside now and then. They’re not really fuzzy and either kind of grayish or there’s bigger ones that are black with a couple white spots. If I see one in my house I usually leave them be so they can eat the bad bugs. One time I was outside spraying all these little black beetles that infest my apartment and I accidentally sprayed a jumping spider that I didn’t see and I literally and I mean literally started freaking out and trying get him out of the spray and watched him hoping he’d be ok. Instead he died a long slow death and I felt HORRIBLE! I was serious,y crying like full on crying over this little jumping spider I just killed. I’m sure my neighbors that I was some weird person watching me crouched over on my patio area poking at a dead spider crying.

If you're stuck for names, what about "Cinnamon" for the little one with a mottled brown abdomen that was raising the roof (lol) at about 9:15? They make cinnamon latte's right? 😉
Jumping spider are found less threatening than regular spiders, is mostly because you can see them thinking in real time, and that their movements are more predictable than the other spiders

New to your videos. I am also a spider lover. I have a cleaning business. While in client's homes I often come across many different kinds of spiders. Being I'm in Minnesota I can only transport them outside certain months of the year. Once it gets too cold I bring them all home with me and let them go in my house. They are beautiful. They don't hurt anybody or anything. And best of all, aside from the spiders, my home is bug free! Come spring I catch them and put them outside and the cycle starts all over again!
Well thank you for this it was extremely entertaining and very fun to watch I love jumping spiders my wife and I are old grandparents and she would never tolerate me keeping spiders LOL. oh hey, the first male jumping spider looks JUST like the pair of spiders living out on my back deck! haven't seen them since it started cooling down, but they where super social this summer. Super cute spiders!!
Hello! Major plant lover here! Your Pothos is okay, It’s just a new leafs that hasn’t fully blown out yet! If you wanna make sure your Pothos never die you can Propagate them till they gets roots of about a inch to 3 inches long❤️
I will have to reach out to Tom! Watching you and other tarantula handlers has helped my arachnophobia a ton. I am now able to relocate spiders in my home (either by hand or by paper and cup) and I caught a jumping spider and gave it a proper enclosure and fed her for a long while, long enough to molt! But she stopped exploring and always seemed scared so I put her on one of my plants outside and let her be SO I'll have to try again with a not-so-wild one. Ty for your videos, they help!
When I was growing pepper plants in pots on my porch, each plant had a jumping spider king at the top of each plant with dozens of smaller ones below. My gf hated them 😂 . I loved my little spider town
i'm scared of spiders but i also want to keep them i know i could get over my fear but i'm even more scared of feeding insects and stuff are there any spider species that doesn't eat other insects or only worms cause i don't mind worms it's only crickets, fruit flies, roaches etc that i can't do
Hey, I am also scared of spiders and tarantulas but I think the jum8spider might be the one I could look after. Also I think there is crubs you could feed to spiders instead of crickets and roaches. Have a good day.
Your pothos leaf is brand new and just unrolling. That leaf is a bit more delicate at that stage but will harden off soon. Do you ever use springtails in your jumping spider enclosures?
I don't know if anyone in the other 226 comments said anything, but the cholla wood is pronounce choya, it's a Spanish word :) And, I am in love with all those spiders!!!
Literally only clicked this for the jumping spiders xD I'm not much of a spider guy myself, but I think jumping spiders are an exception because of how smart they are and they look so cute!
I absolutely fawned over that box of cuteness, those jumpers were so cute and I can't wait to see the velvet spiders grow to be bigger! They're just cute little critters and when they hunt it's so cute to watch them wave a ton before getting their prey!
Thank you for making spiders **fun!!** I've always been afraid of spiders except jumping spiders! I lived in S. Idaho and they lived in my windowsill (sp?) catching flies! I grew to love the eyes, their front legs and their fuzzy hair!! I am amazed how they caught their prey! Now, I'm not afraid of them anymore! I accidentally touched a white spider this summer on my rose bushes, and it startled me, but I didn't freak out like I would have before! It looked like a ghost.....must like the little bugs that hang out on the rosebushes! I also like the trap door spider and crab spider! I learned how both catch their prey, and it's so interesting! Mother Nature is quite incredible!!! Have a great weekend!! 👍👍😁😁
I am so glad I came across your channel. We recently inhereted two trantulas, a Mexican Curly Hair and I think a Skeleton leg but I am not sure. I love how you do your enclosures, ours are just in like reptile tanks but they are relatively big. We are looking at getting some jumping spiders because they are so cute. Never did I think I would actually intentionally own a spider but my husband like them and they are honestly growing on me.

"Jumping Spiders are not like other spiders. They are kitties with eight legs" And my love for them grows and grows. And other spiders too of course.

Aww lol kitties with eight legs
I would let a jumping spider to eat me if they were the size of dogs
they are more like dogs I've heard that you can train them like one which is the strangest thing to me they are also know as the smartest spiders in the world
Don't like spiders but these little guys are so cute 😍😍
That second jumping spider you reowned was so adorable, putting up her little legs going "Pick me up! HUG ME!"
dont they just do that to scare the enemy like Human when Bears come?
They do that to try and scare you off and its a sign there saying get away
That’s a threat, actually. They’re saying, “I have fangs and I’m ready to use them on you if you come closer.”

if you wana help the leaves uncurl if you think theyre stuck just mist them a bit and let it sit :)

What a nice box full of small crawlers with big cuteness. Sweet. The Chola wood seems perfect to built a net in.

I'm not the biggest fan of spiders, but the greens fangs are dope 💚 I gotta admit these are adorable
