I also own Santro amt sportz 2019 model... When I purchased it was 70-80000 cheaper than Tiago having same features... But yes Tiago engine is little more powerful and have better build quality... Also look wise Tiago appears little better to me... The only reason I went for Santro was that it fitted perfectly in my cramped parking space...

Tata cars are fabulous but they are not known for AMT transmission, tata amt has a lot for problems like loss for power, or sudden thurst of power which tata officials are also clueless about. If you are opting for automatic please consider hyundai or maruti and tata is best for manual transmission only
Sir Tiago AMT is very bad Hyundai AMT is the best in town almost as good as CVT /DCT you will fell the difference between AMT in santro and Tiago next best would be Celerio AMT.

3 saal ke upar ho gaye muze aaj tak seekh mil rahi hai meri first car Renault Kwid leke. Bohot pachtaraha hu. Sabse request hai dikhavepe mat jao aur tin tappar kamjor engine wali Kwid mat kharido. Aur bhi technical faults hai. Bina matlab ke warning lights aate jaate hai. Pickup loss and Body vibration bhi hai. 1000 CC hone ke baavjood poor engine performance hai. Company walo ke pass koi jawab nahi hai.

Har visit ko 5 ghante rukna padta tha kyu ki na jaane ye service wale kuch bhi kare ya na kare pata kaise chale. Ab mera ek hi mission hai ki kisi aur ko na fasne du Kwid kharid ke. Mai khud video bhi banane ki soch raha tha lekin khud ki beizzati nahi karvana chahta.

Kuchh suggest karo. Ac, power steering, air bag honi chahiye. Ya fir budget badhana padega? Budget isliye nhi badha rha hu. Kyun ki itni running nhi hogi meri. Mahine me 400-600km. Kavi kavi long tour 900km around 1-2 mahine me ek baar. Ab toh lock down h, answer de dijiyega. 😀Stay home, stay safe. 🙂 Me toh nhi reh skta, banker hun. 😐

Tata's main drawback is lack of proper after sales service. Santro may not be the best but service vice absolutely excellent.

And to be honest the experience is pretty good till now
But somehow i got sports amt varient in Rs.6.50 lacs on road in indore (including diwali discount)

And also we have exchanged an maruti 800 (17 years old) at an price of 40000
So technically we got car in rs 550000 (55000+40000)
We also got hyundai Santro sportz amt during Diwali only... We exchanged our old 19 yrs Santro with the new one.... We got free accessories like seat cover body cover perfume etc... On road it was 5.5 I think... 50000 less I think for our old santro

I hope we all know that the anchors have their perception of a few other cars before jumping to review any car. They have to be more particular about their questions and not ask comparing ques to owners.
Try to ask more about the experience based on situations.
To help people out here in recent time I tested Santra nios i10 and tiago amt.
tata makes solid product superior built than hyundai but if major use is city then hyundai should do it too. Pls get only Sportz variants in hyundai as 2 star tested model is base variant with single airbag. Get dual airbag variant which will be Sportz/Asta.
In terms of AMT Tiago is smooth on 3-4 and 4-5 transitions. On 1-2 you will feel nice jerk and 2-3 little less. The troubling thing in both Tiago and Tigor test drove both just to confirm they suddenly do lose power and for a second your call will jerk as if you hit break and then it recovers. This can be quite dangerous especially on higher speed and for new drivers. Tata people are clueless what is the issue and issue happens randomly.
If you drive light foot hyundai amt is so refined you wont even notice gear shifts. Hardly anyone can feel. Otherwise if you feel confident for tiago go for it. Currently tiago will be a whole 1.5L more expensive.
