This makes me happy! I have straighter curlier hair and I have been wanting locs for years. My hair is 4 inches above my waist. I always have people tell me it would be difficult to do locs but this seems more practical.

No cap the straighter the texture the easier it is bigger parts cause it takes more to loc so it takes longer time

Saving this video so I know who exactly to come to when I’m ready. I recently cut my hair and it’s back to natural texture but I wanted to start applying blowout relaxer as i don’t have the patience for natural hair. I’m glad locs can be done from relaxed hair. Great work sis 👏

She has straight hair you trim the excess pieces with white straight hair to stop it looking like grinch fingers I’ve done all my research i know what’s best for every head

I’m on the fence. My kid has straighter hair like that and wants locs. I can start them, but don’t want to cut the loose hairs. It might just have to be “grinch fingers” for us lol 😆. I love the parting and overall look, so cute ☺️.
Cutting the loose hairs makes the locs weaker and thin down the line.

I start at $200 some heads take longer just depends on the length and thickness

I have white gray hair that looks like platinum… I paid for locs from Macons styles and had them install. The locs fell apart when I softly shampoo them plus the lady that installed them did not put them in right, they fell apart when water hit them…I lost a lot of money. I had to cut them out because they kept falling out. I just recently relaxed my hair. I wish I would have seen this video. I am in Houston. Now I have loc extensions in a bag that I can’t use. Makes me tear up just writing about it…160 locs was sent 156 Macon never return my messages….like my hard earned money meant nothing. $968 to make, plus $800 to install and i have pics of them falling out after the install…nice video and good job…✅👍🏾💝

OMG you made it look so easy. I have ALWys Wanted locs. If you have relaxed hair, with natural new growth,can you still do this technique without cutting the relaxed hair off? EVERYTIME I ask someone about getting locs, they always say... You have to cut the relaxer out your hair first. And I have long hair so I don't want to do that. I want my locs to start off the length my hair is now. Please please please answer to my comment bcuz I REALLY want these locs ASAP if possible. Hell... So this was my problem. I didn't loc mine tight enough. Thank you for this vid...Yeah and I washed mine way too quick. Two weeks after I loc it up
No problem love and yes i recommend at least waiting 6-8 weeks before wash so the build up helps it Loc
