- The machete is already a great choice for wall tricking in ldoe, but how does it fare in other situations? In this video we'll take a look its best mods and the movement slowing active skill. I use walltrick every time i see a wall and forth
I prefer cleaver, because it is cheaper, and I get the "tactical butcher blade" mod
Cleaver mods are some of the most economical investments to make in the game! It's a complete game changer when you fully mod that thing. :)
Just need hunter handle and my cleaver is fully modded
I both have the mods for cleaver, but I don't craft the cleaver often and in my experience, the best mod attachments on cleaver is really good, it can be a good replacement for wall tricking with crowbars unless you need it for at least prying out things

Havent really fully modded machete or cleaver yet so i mainly craft and use tons crowbars for wall tricking
Crowbar's the best for wall trick. Machete is a lot quicker but it's also more expensive than a crowbar.
I always use The Cleaver for wall trick. I just love the sound and the feeling when using it
Always wall trick XD, Cleaver mod(for basic zombie(40-80),shovel(for floater bloater) machete for frenzie:D

Yes, with regard to melee weapons .. they need to be very economical. The flaw in this game is that all melee weapons need leather and iron, and there is high pressure on these two materials - I hope to amend these requirements in the future and use other materials - especially leather, which is already used in clothing.

I think it would be cool if the cleaver had an active skill that allowed you to throw it, costing 2 or 3 durability but giving you more range and potentially doing critical or bleeding damage (the bleeding damage would be like fire damage, and would ignore armor that certain enemies have) , but once you throw it you can't get it back until you finish off the enemy you threw it at
Dude! I couldn't be any happier that I finished modding my top tier Machete mods just in couple minutes ago and I was so lucky that the Gut hook blade was the first extremely rare blueprint to be found when I first time clearing farm! Thanks for posting the video, and I have been watched all of ur ldoe content!

amazing weapon for clearing bunker alfa (wall trick) tho the main problem in making it for me atleast, its the fuel for the bars

@@Pressingx like if you just use raw pine logs, youll find yourself farming for more logs for fuel rather than iron, but turning those logs to planks then needing even MORE fuel to turn into coal, not to mention how much time that process will take, if i can get a raid that gives me literally racks of coal, thats gonna be the best raid ill get in my life

I'd say Katana is the best melee weapon. No mods needed, and not hard to get, if you keep opening green crates at PD. As for walltrick, cheaper crowbars, or other weaker weapons like Golf Club and Hockey Stick can be used.
Good point about the katana being good without any modding needed! It's on my upcoming vid idea list. I was lucky enough to find a raid with what must have been 10+ katanas a while back.
Katana Is useless for veterans cuz they already have full mode machete. Katana is good for beginners that have cero investime on mod. So is hard to say. Depend on your game stage which will be the melee king

And even spears if you have them fully modded
I would suggest ysing the machete on smaller targets in groups in bunker alfa, when you have to deal with quick zombies fast because there is a bloater after you as well. When wall tricking you have time.
I got my tactical butcher knife 4 days ago and built it yesterday my cleaver is complete

No question about it. With your recommended best mods, you can for instance take out a Toxic Abomination in three hits using sneak with a modded machete and mace. The mace is especially devastating and I use it in a few specific instances throughout the game. But for an everyday melee weapon, nothing matches the machete.
in machete you can use saw cutting blade because it can deal too much damage without the gut hook skill
yes that is true gut hook blade is the best but how tf am i supposed to get it. i mean i know that u find it in the farm but i have been constantly doing the far every 2 days and i didnt find it yet
Rng is your biggest enemy in ldoe. The drop rates for very rare blueprints is extremely low. I think it could be entirely possible to clear the farm every reset for a year and not get a blueprint you want. :/

@@Pressingx I have been clearing the farm every reset since the gut hook mod was added there and have yet to get it. In fact in only about 48% of those I have o ly gotten a common mod, 2% of them a blue mod, and the remaining 50% of the time no mods. The drop rate is pretty much non existent. The same non existent drop rate goes for trying to get the active skill mod for the saw mace also.

I know it's a stretch, but can you do some guides for like the farm or motel or those POW. But all in all great video keep it up

@@Pressingx i think it will, but we need to wait for season 13 to end, and another question did you get all the letters, i just need 1 cupcake for the truck and 2 fingers for the road house and i will be done for this season
@@doom_owo I didn't do too much of the season outside of collecting the holiday items for the delivery boxes.

i just fully modded my cleaver and now its nearly as good as the machete
The cleaver is such a satisfying weapon to use, due to its speed. Its crafting recipe, the fact that its mods are rather easy to find (farm for example) and very effective compared to their cost make the cleaver my favorite melee weapon. Question : Is it worth using a mod that massively reduces machete durability?
It doesn't massively reduce it. The purple and blue mod are the best, in the terms of damage and critical chance. It's best to use machete against big zombies, like bloater or toxic abomination. Or against NPCs, in case they are equipped with saw blade mace. You won't have to stress yourself over leather once you start raiding frequently. There are many bases with stacks of leather just waiting to be stolen :D
Which blade should I mod if i don't have gut hook?
Hey, PX... is there mods for crowbar? Maybe, range mod and damage and durability. I would love it! Also lead pipe. They don't cost as much leather and they still fast....
I'd love to see some crowbar mods. Would be interesting to see how they balance those though. :o

ONLY ON BOSSES OR FRENZY (warning you losing alot of weapons if you use it on bloaters
Even unmodded Machete is almost equal to Katana as it does 2400 total dmg (80 hits x 30 dmg) while Katana does 2450 total dmg (70 hits x 35 dmg). So, Katana has higher dps vs unmodded Machete but only does 50 extra dmg in total.

They're mainly found at the farm. They'll occasionally drop from PD.

Bone handle is not so good i think the hunter handle is better!!(the green one)
Green handle just for durability for farm. Doing wall trick is better bone handle for more damage in single hit

I think the most economical way to get it is the farm but if you want to spend weapons and such for it the purple crates at the PD

If I’m not mistaken, does the police station only give out gun mods? I don’t remember receiving any melee mods at the police station.
@@garyhomanick6129 I think that you can only find purple mods for meele in PD, you cant find either grey or blue mods for melee.

i really find it annoying how he does wall trick since i wall trick mostly with crowbar i can get 1 hit every 1 hit of enemy pretty easily in bunker alfa if i need to wait for 2 hit most of the time with machete it will be quicker for me to just go with crowbar.
You don’t have to wait for two hits.
Where does that leather even go😂 the handle is wood also the pipe or crowbar are cheap and great for wall tricking the machete is better for killing zombies you can’t wall glitch

Lol i only use fists and spears to clear bunker alfa easy mode you can use more advanced weapons in cases or locations where the wall trick is not possible.if not then you're just completely wasting precious resources
Stop being cheap. Strive for endgame content. Play wisely and you don’t need to be cheap. Resources are there to craft with. What, do you just collect resources for nothing? LOL

If i use all my melee weapons such as machetes and cleavers on bunker alfa easy mode,i'll have nothing for hard mode.also,bunker alfa easy mode is also one of the only places where you could put the spears and fists to good use.clearing bunker alfa easy mode with fists does not take nearly as long as the duration you mentioned.about 30-40mins if you exclude the 4th floor because the loot there is at best shite.i know cuz i've done it hundreds of times.grinding for iron ore,wood and leather,smelting iron ore to iron bars,crafting logs into planks to make a melee weapon,i mean,come on,that would take waaay longer than clearing the bunker with fists.
