Just took delivery of my white pearl 2024 Sport Touring Hybrid CRV, have 75 miles on it. I sit in the garage and play with the settings. Like others I was unaware of the key spot in the door handle. Your video helps very much and I know I will be watching it a few more times since I can't think as fast as the video spools LOL. So many variables and it's a challenge coming from an Acura 2020 MDX. Just got my new 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport yesterday. Have been watching these videos and learning so much. This is invaluable and I had no idea the car had soooo many features. At the dealership the sales person only gave me a very simple overview. Thanks for these videos they are adding so much to the enjoyment of the car and are really helping me justify the price in my mind. If this car can stay reliable it will be the best car by far Ive ever owned. :)

I got to sit in four CR-V’s today. An EX with black interior, EX with ivory interior, and two EX-L’s with black interior. The EX-L’s are soo comfortable! The interior is also so simple and organized, I love it.

@@CrazyAutoChris Mostly because the gas mileages, i live in NY with alot of traffic, it put me at 28.2 mpg after using it for a month (2k miles). if it is hybrid, it will put me 32+. Also. it has more HP with better acceleration

@@CrazyAutoChris Thanks! Question if you don't mind. I took it off the lot with 8 miles on the odometer. Had 18 by time I got home. This is my first brand new car. Does the engine have to be broken in or anything? I was driving very delicately to not push it too hard. Just thought I'd ask.

Thanks for all the information. Totally helped! I just purchased the Sport Touring Hybrid but settings arent on the Gauge display. It took me forever to find out where they were. So the settings are accesible through the media screen. Everything else was exactly as you explained.

@@WORLDCITIZEN2004 My dealership has 4. 2 EX-L, 2 EX. One of the EX’s is marked up $5,000, making it $36,000. The other EX is marked up $7,000, making it $38,000. The EX-L’s are marked up $7,000, making both of them $41,000.

Great video here, I got my 2024 CR-V last week Monday, and I have been scared of using it because of the complex functions, I just searched online and I saw you, you totally reduced my fear. I would like to ask you if the car has an app one can download to a phone to do some other functions.

So glad I found you! I'm a newby to Honda , just bought a cr-v hybrid. 2023. With 10,000 MI. It is a sweet ride!
Question though --- I car camp and need a.c. or sometimes heat. How do I keep the car on all night or even while I'm in the grocery store. My dogs often go with and it's dangerously hot down on the Texas Coast.

It should reset when you turn on and off the vehicle, just like a computer.

I have an older video showing how the blindspot. The powered tailgate or boot is on the Sport-L Hybrid.

Thanks for your informative review. My Honda Pilot, in addition to roll down windows, it also offers the option to roll UP the windows, by inserting the key (the part from the key fob) into the key hole and turning-and-hold counter clockwise. Does the CR-V do the same?

Thank u so much for this video. I asked where I purchase my 2023 Honda crv LX this question but they even acknowledge my question. I had a 2017 hatchback that I traded in. It had on the steering wheel answer and hang up phone calls. Did I miss this on the crv ? Only way to answer and hang up a call is to take ur eyes off the road and touch the screen?
Appreciate in this video u explained to door settings because that is another thing I couldn't get a straight answer for.

I'm sure you got your answer by now, but for anyone else that may see this, I had to figure it out too. You push in the scrolling wheel on the steering wheel. my Accord had an actual button to hang up, so this was new for me

I found the Vehicle Setting menu. You have to access it via the center media screen.

I just purchased my 3rd Honda CRV EXL 2024 love my car. Just need to learn how to use some features. Especially how to set my Trip A and B. I like to clock my miles. 😂
My walkaround for the CRV EXL should answer many questions regarding that trim.
Great car. I bought one at the end of October with the idea of having it for at least ten years. I was disappointed my model didn't come with the XM radio, but that was not a deal breaker. Perhaps you could do something on installing an aftermarket xm?

I agree. Are you able to upgrade the radio that has xm radio? My wife is looking at the CRV EX.
@@kevp.5801 Older models could be upgraded, but I haven't seen anything yet on the 23's. I considered the "docking station" option but 1) I heard they were kind of flimsy and hard to operate when driving and 2) I would rather not have to carry the module back and forth to the car. I still haven't made up my mind, but the 2023 CRV is a great vehicle.
@kevp.5801 i had the same issue when I chose my 2022 Accord Sport. You can't add it. I just traded it for the CRV EXL which has it built in.

The windows rolling down with the unlock button is my favorite feature of Honda. I don’t know what other car manufacturers do this but it is very underrated. Is there a way to hold the lock and roll them up? Say for instance you get out of the car and forgot a back window, it can roll it up??
I wish that there was for the American Honda Market models.
Has Honda done anything in the current year models the mitigate road noise problems? I’ve had a 2000 Honda and I’m currently driving a 2015 Honda CRV and they’re great cars and I love the gas mileage and I love the low or almost no maintenance but the road no is annoying. Have they made any changes to reduce road noise thanks.
It does have noise canceling technology, but that's a loaded question because that will come down to options. I would encourage you to schedule a test drive when you have time.
Always love the EX with custom leathers, although I am very happy with my EX-L with the power lift gate. Worth noting you do not have to hit the lock button prior to doing the key window roll down trick. An OG LX feature from way back on my 2004 Accord LX! So awesome to see it on the top trims/ new key fobs, I use it almost daily.

Yes-- my 2006 accord lx had the same feature and I use it all the time!! :)
The Settings selection in the drivers interface does not appear on my 2023 EXL. I think everything you discussed is available but on my 2023 EXL I have to use the main LCD display.
The setting would be on the touchscreen for the EXL and Sport Touring, which has the 9-inch screen

Hi Crazy Chris!! I am sad that I cannot add my own pictures to the touch screen panel like I could in my 2022 CRV. Can this be done with the CRV Sport 2024? The default screen is the only screen we get. Many thanks for considering my request.
Depending on the trim level you can change the clock face (wallpaper) on the EXL, Sport-L, Sport Touring
Hey Chris! I'm purchasing the 2023 CR-V. I'm looking at back-mounted bike racks that go in that hole that the hitch goes into behind the car. They sell two versions of it, a 1.25 inch, and a 2 inch. Would you happen to know which version I should get, that would fit in the hole? I'd like to have the bike rack ordered before the car arrives. Thanks so much! I couldn't get a straight answer, and it's not in the manual. Unfortunately my car wasn't delivered yet, to measure it.
Did you end up getting the 2 in?
a late response but the world is moving to the 2". The weight of 2 bikes out on a lever arm is actually a lot of stress for the 1.25 hitch.
Wish you could do a video on pairing phone contacts and text. I cant get text notifications on my screen with my android.
I used my phone when recording these videos.

Yes all but the tachometer. The Hybrid models don't have a tachometer.
Question: if You are the last one getting into the trunk as You demonstrated, however, instead of hitting that small black button, is it possible that if You have the "walk away" (10 second door lock) on; then when You walk away will the CRV lock all the doors??? Or no, because say it locked all the doors, but You got into the truck before it was locked, then it remains unlocked so You must still hit the black button on the tailgate (I am getting an EX soon) so I"m asking.. will the walk away not lock all doors and truck for u without hitting the black button???
If the Walk away auto lock is enabled, the doors will lock if you walk away with the fob (no key inside). You don't have to select the small button that I mention. Thanks for watching

For some reason, my 2023 CRV DRLs are never being on is there a way to turn them on?
They should automatically come on when the vehicle is in motion
@@CrazyAutoChris Even when the car is in motion, it still doesn't seem to work. I'm beginning to wonder if my CRV might be missing a microchip or another component. I've heard that some models were shipped without certain features that relied on those chips.
Something like this is better to help or answer in person. I would encourage contacting your salesperson if you haven't already.
Child seat tether anchors are hidden behind slits in the upholstery just below the plastic anchor icons. (Not covered in the manual from what I could see)
They are exposed. you can see them in my walkaround videos
@@CrazyAutoChris The LATCH anchors are exposed on the posterior of the seat for the LATCH anchors, but the tether anchors are hidden behind slits in the upholstery on the anterior side of the back seats directly under the icons. The two anchors on the cargo floor area that flip up are for cargo tie-downs and not for the child safety seat rear tether.

Hey Chris I have watched some of your videos I bought the 2023 CRV hybrid sport and the LED headlights kind of weak to me. Do you how to upgrade the LED bulbs? Unlike the previous models you can easily pop out the bulbs, 2023s are a bit different. Any info will help! Thank you.
I would encourage talking to your local Honda dealer when it comes to something like this.

I dont understand the e parking brake, I see people say to leave it on all the time. do you keep it on even when on flat surfaces? and I noticed the light stays on after you turn the car off and e-brake is on does that mean it's running on and can therefore hurt battery?
It will not run out or hurt the battery.
Is it true that there are no fog lights on the 2023 CR-V’s? We have lots of fog here in southwest Mississippi & I’ve really enjoyed the fog lights on my 2018 CR-V.
That's is correct, no fog lights on the 2023 CRVs. I'm assuming it's a balance and check decision because American Honda has added many new tech/items to this redesign, maybe trying to keep a target price range in mind as well. So Honda made the decision. Thank you for watching

Help! I want to use maps/navigation on the nice screen in my new CRV 2024 sport but the screen doesn’t show the icons like I’ve seen in other videos. It just has basic gray settings
The Sport trim CRV does NOT have built-in Navigation but you do have apple car play and android auto.

Good Day Chris, how to I get 2023 CRV-EXL car wash ready. In other words, how do I turn off all the warning sensors. They all go off when running through automatic car wash.
We just remove the stickers and drive it through the carwash. Nothing special.
During the carwash, you can mute the parking sensors by pushing in the wheel on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. It tells you that on the driver's interface

Hi @Chris - do you know if Honda disabled the rear trunk light for the LX trim? Just noticed mine and a few others who reported on a FB forum that it doe not illuminate.
Everyone I have been in the cargo lights have been coming on if the doom lights are set on when the doors are open. I believe that I show this in my walkaround video.

Chris, how to I put my 2023 CRV Hybrid Sport Touring in EV mode only? I’ve had it for a month and I don’t seem to be saving on gas.
My walk-around video covers all the standard features and buttons.
Trying to unlock all doors instead of drivers door. My guage display does not have a settings tab to choose grom. It goes from.guage display settings to brightness.

I got My 23 CR-V a month ago with 48 miles on it. Filled up my tank 1 time and I am at 800 miles 😊

Why cant I find the “settings” option? I see “brightness” and directly under it says “gauge display settings” but no “settings” to choice. I was trying change which doors unlock the when touching the handle. I have an EX-L if that matters.

Hey , my own honda crv Hybrid 2024 . Ask you what mean power flow is used for ? Can I drive to keep on econ or normal mode?
The power flow is just showing you what is currently going on with the hybrid system. For example; gas driving the vehicle, hybrid battery driving the vehicle, charing the hybrid battery while braking.. econ is most effective during highway driving that helps improve mpg. I mention mode during my walk-around videos

I do have walk-around videos and vehicle settings videos for the LX trim CRV. Unfortunately, the LX doesn't have that feature. In the description, I shared that the LX trim wasn't released during that time of the video and wasn't aware it would've.
