Thanks for providing the link for the strips. Will be picking them up. Looking forward to the reverse osmosis video. I'm going to be installing the systems you installed, with the inline filter and a reverse osmosis, and will be totally relying on your videos. I'm confident I'll be able to get it all done. Thanks again.
Hello I’m in Vegas as well. I’ve watched both system installs on your channel. My question is which do you prefer from the two (Aquasure or Shell)? Thanks. Excellent work by the way. Very informative and helpful.
I honestly like the Aquasure. It was easy to set up, nothing fancy, & I felt like the water was really soft. The whole home filtration is nice but it has a Hefty price tag for what I think is pretty close to the same end result.
my water tested at 120 on test strip. Only my wife and I in home with occasional family visiting. Which water softener would be best for my home with two baths?
Probably the 48k grain system. All the systems will soften your water, but the size of the system is more about how often it would need to regenerate because of usage. So I’d say somewhere in the middle range of sizes. Like the 48
It will depend on your house, who built it, what code is in your area. But all homes I’ve worked on have a hard water line to the sink in the kitchen. Similar to your outdoor hose spigots. They get their water supply off of a line before the softener. But it’s not across the board for every home, I’m sure there’s plenty of different set ups out there.
@@FortKnoxCo oh ok.. I installed my own water softener. Also, remember you can always adjust how much salt your brine tank uses to make it more or less soft. This is why you are not getting the slimy feeling when you shower because you need to increase the gpg on your system.
Yeah, hard water is fine to drink. It’s not so much the drink ability as it is how hard it is on your house, plumbing and appliances. The minerals can cause damage to the internals after it builds up overtime. Some would argue that your water with all the minerals and stuff in it is healthier because it has those things in it. That’s probably a whole different rabbit hole the dive into.
This is also why most people install a reverse osmosis system in their kitchen sink area. I just installed one in my kitchen and it goes off of that cold water line and it filters the water to be purified drinking water. So that’s why this is usually not as much of an issue for people because they either drink filtered water or they have some type of filtration system anyways. But the water filtration system is different than the water softener. It’s safe to drink either. But most prefer a reverse osmosis system for their drinking tap.
I’ll be putting a video out shortly of the installation of the reverse osmosis system and how to do it step-by-step. And also there’s a reverse osmosis system that I found that is super DIY friendly and one of the best ones around in my opinion. There’s no need to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for someone to come out and put in a system that is just as good as every other one out there. I made a mistake and paid for someone to come and put one in and it never worked as good as the other ones that I had put it myself.
@@FortKnoxCo and they Flush the Hydrants from the city and when the water turns rusty and discolored and when I fill up the rusty discolored water in my brita filter the activated carbon which is the filter inside it will filter it out so it gets filtered and cleaned out so I don't have to be drinking that yucky stuff from my faucet and that I don't have to be drinking rusty discolored water from a brita water filter ever again so none of that stuff gets into my glass of water in my cup so it'll be pure filtered cleaned out water meaning I'll be drinking pure clean clear filtered water

Can’t wait to hear about the success.

Are you sure about the cold water in the sink being hard? in my house ALL faucets, cold or hot are soft.

@@mr.boniato6402 great Information 🤙🏼
I'm assuming Hard Water is safe to drink than soft water correct

Or take a water to a pool store and they will test it for hardnes and alkalinity plus few more
That is an option as well. But for the price of gas you could be the proud owner of hundreds of test strips.
Do I drink Soft or Hard Water Our Cold Water is left on Hard at our kitchen sink

Yeah I have a Brita Water Filtration System and I drink out of there it gets filtered out so I drink out of that instead
@@joepajewski6858 yep. Sounds good. I think that’s what most people do. Gone are the days of drinking out of the hose. Lol.
