View #16 😂 I love these videos - it helps me plan what gets bought next! I don't have Ryobi in my shop but I too use their 40v string trimmer. I hope you're right about the mower robot. Odds are my property's way too big, but that's nothing having it work 3-4.days a week wouldn't fix! More time with the family and in the shop? Count me in!
Great video Matt it’s so amazing to see all the technology that’s coming out to all the tools. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future. Keep up the amazing work you do. Thanks for sharing as always
Smart glasses have been used for a few years in the commercial world, mostly for inventory control and work tracking. That is likely where those glasses are aimed. The software behind them will be the difference maker.
I’d like to see DeWalt come out with more tools geared towards woodworking. For example the small orbital sanders that Milwaukee has. I’d also like to see them update their Toughsystem 2.0 boxes.
WANNA SEE MORE SKIL TOOLS! I have there budget saws and love them, and most of there battery operated stuff even there yard tools, I'm a big fan of the red and black currently, after there flip drill came out I knew they were gonna come up with some crazy cool tools, and you're one of the only people I see show them love so thank you for that, you're why I bought the skil table saw
I so want the Harvey bandsaw! Practically drooling over that thing now, and the new fence is just incredible. Been thinking of adding that BigEye fence to my Sawstop cabinet saw. So, thank you ever so much for making me want to spend all my money!!! ;). Great video, very well produced.
Me too, my problem with harvey is that when you contact them they refuse to even acknowledge the stuff shown at IWF and definitely no sort of roadmap to know when/if they are coming to market so you can plan a future purchase.
Great video watched a few of your other videos but you taking the time to discuss patents and tradeshow sales pitches on what is coming next is amazing content
Great info as always! Not sure I want an AR/VR goggle watching and recording what I do. Have to be a lot of guarantees that it's not recording and uploading my data for use by their AI. Like paying them to train something to potentially replace you. I am not a luddite, but tech has shown they have no qualms that it's better to pay a fine if caught than ask permission.
731 Woodworks.. Just getting back into woodworking So I still need to get a few things like a track saw. That one from Milwaukee seems to be a good one. I have bought several things from your reviewing and recommending them. I have never heard of the Harvey brand until you showed them. Looks like a good quality brand. I'm slowly getting my woodworking tools built back up. One step at a time, right?
I work for an automotive brand who went all in on augmented reality, it didn’t work out. I have no doubt we’ll get there one day, but I don’t think that day will be in 2025. But who knows, maybe I’m wrong. What I want from Milwaukee is a snow shovel attachment for their new power head and maybe a full on snow blower!
Powermatic also has a line of black coated tools. They call it "ArmorGlide". Who knows whether it filters down to everything, or even stays with these brands, but clearly there is a desire to revamp the cast iron top.
I really don't care for the click-baity titles and thumbnails. The more I watch different TH-cam woodworkers, the more I see that 731 is the click-baity one. Always shouting about the tool "they don't want you to know about" or the tool that "will change woodworking forever!!". I mean, dude it'll be, like, a screwdriver or something. Don't get me wrong, he's helped me get a grasp on some tools when I'm a complete beginner, but I like more genuine channels now. I don't really watch 731 anymore for these reasons.
@@1steelcobra I'm not really sure about that as the other woodworks I watch (maybe ~6 channels) don't do the click-bait thing the same way. It's just an opinion. "To each their own".
CONGRATS ON HITTING 700000 subscribers!!!!!!!!! I think I'm going to be right behind you in line to buy that Ryobi lawn mower. I have a Kreg K3 pocket hole jig, and LOVE it. Unfortunately, Kreg got sued over that design, and was forced to discontinue all production on that model. Today, if you can find a K3, it's almost guaranteed to be used, as opposed to new in box/never used, and in either case, it's going to be expensive.
I tried calling Harvey about the big eye digital readout but they couldn't tell me anything. They have a free shipping promo right now and I really want the bigeye, but I would hate to buy the big eye now and then have the digital readout one come out later, at the trade show did they give any indication if it will be available as an attachment/separate purchase from the fence?
Ha tool companies don’t hate you. You’re a very effective salesman, I have several tools that I bought because of your reviews and even more on my list to buy.
Who else thinks that these companies are actually listening to Mr. Outlaw and taking note and jumping on upgrades that will improve the wood working community.
The core issue with the table saw injury mitigation stuff (and why Bosch can't sell Reaxx in the US) is that Sawstop owns all of the key patents controlling the tech and has been aggressively litigious about it. And while they've said they'll make the one most important patent public domain, they've made doing that contingent on the mandate of including AIM on all new table saws getting passed first.
If Ryobi does go after the pocket hole market, they should offer or include the plug cutter bit/jig as Kreg made it near impossible to get your own plug cutter unless you purchased the K720Pro. I own the K4 and K520Pro. Why would I want to purchase yet another K-anything just to be able to use the plug cutter when they should have plug cutters for all their models.
The first two patent documents you showed on the video look like they are patented applications, not issued patents. I don’t know about the power tools industry, but in other sectors, the US patent office is backlogged and taking over two years to issue patents. That intellectual property you show could take years to get to market. Cool stuff though!
I would like to see some new quality tools from brands like RIDGID. Not everyone can’t afford or wants to have to spend big bucks just because of the name on the tool.
Matt, this comment is a somewhat rabbit hunt, but stick with me. When I try to watch your content on AppleTV, YT starts it with an ad that is 30+ seconds long with no skip option. I immediately ditch it. When I start the same video on my iPhone or iPad, the intro ad is skippable after no more than ten seconds. Maybe you have some influence on this, maybe not. Still, you need to know that YT is discouraging viewing on AppleTV, whether it is intentional or inadvertent. If you can give them feedback on this AppleTV bias, please do.
The other day, I overheard a couple of old curmudgeons jawing about high tech tools. "In my day, we didn't need fancy lasers, we just eyeballed it. We custom fit everything by hand." I said yeah, grandpa...but if you had a laser, you wouldn't need to make everything custom. All the parts would be the same and accurate.
Not only that, but in my 1970s house, I dare you to find either a square corner or level wall. They never considered at some point someone might need to either reno or replace something. They used levels, swuares and rulers when they built the pyramids. And I bet all of the doors close properly on the sphynx!
Tool companies are very often terrible at software development (understandably). I just hope Milwaukee partners with an AR developer to make their system instead of trying to go it alone.
Keep the VR out of the trades please. It's already been ruined enough stop promoting it to be even worse. I don't want to be a rocket scientist or a computer nerd. I want to be a flipping construction worker bro.

Festool does make and sell an AIM saw, the TKS 80 EBS
But, it does not ship to the US
Don't forget about the Milescraft track square that will be coming soon.

Totally agree.... even when I say I am not going to buy anymore, there I am, ordering another tool I need...LOL
Did you say Harvey's new helical head planer?
Did I? 🤣 I meant Oliver I think
I think another benefit of the helmet with integrated AI would be to help you document your personal plans for projects you are creating from scratch.
Recently your reviewed a small spindle sander and now I can't find it. What brand is it?
WEN you can get it on Amazon
Harvey band saw for the win. .and their table saw..and...well all of it lol ..
