    4:50 - I think it's SO fantastic that you empower others to broaden their perspective of a change in careers. I couldn't agree more; a shift does not mean giving up. A mental shift we need to make societally! 💪

    3rd year PT student here! Love it!! I feel so lost when it comes to finances, my parents have been on government insurance and have had government assistance their entire lives. I have an insurmountable amount of dept after my DPT degree and I have no idea where to start and how to start saving and paying off my debt (the most efficient way). Watching all of your videos now!

    Just finished undergrad and am about to apply to PT schools for 2021 admission. I believe that the financial/business side of physical therapy isn't really taught to us (at least in undergrad) so hearing your perspective is awesome

    Tim, your videos are so insightful. I’m currently considering changing my major and starting the PT track. I’ve always been so intrigued by the job but have just been too worried to actually try to pursue it as a career. Your videos have helped me realize that I really do want to pursue this job, so thank you!
    With all that being said, another dream of mine has always been to work in the sports world, specifically a professional baseball team. Is there much of a market for PT’s in the sports world/what are the biggest differences/how would the salary differ?
    Keep doing what you’re doing man!

    Omg i was looking for an answer for months… im on mathematics field and after a knee injury it made me realise how important PT’s are! And i thought i was just having that excitment for something new, but it’s been months and i really am starting to feel i should really change course… i feel the exact same way it’s absurd! Anyway thank you for sharing your story!

    That's amazing!! you seem so much like me XD, I'm a 18-year-old, looking to go into PT for uni, but have in the past two years been hugely into personal finance and investing. I love the economics and business side but also love the sport more than anything. I recently did a casual presentation on personal finance to 50 of my peers sharing what I've learnt so far: Compound interest, Index funds, balance sheets etc. But all to say that I'm sure we'll enjoy both types of content.
    On a side note, I am looking at most (UK) university courses requiring Biology or PE, however, i have only taken Chemistry and Physics [IB]. would you happen to know whever that will be a disadvantage when applying?

    Man when I saw your video I felt like a was looking at myself in the mirror. I also started in biology, found out that I liked environmental science more than biochemistry this led me to pursue a masters there. I struggled for a year and a half looking for a job after then when I got my first intern then job then Covid then volunteering I feel that I’m not getting anywhere. I’m thinking of PT in Belgium because I was also a sporty person and was a semi pro goalkeeper. I have always liked PT but I felt it was too far from me. I dream that my environmental science background can have a role in a future PT career.

    I am currently a senior in high school trying to decide on a major. Because of my current situation I am unable to shadow any PTs. I've done a lot of research on physical therapy and I have been talking to a physical therapist I know and just asking them some questions. I think this is something that I want to do. I watched your video on "What to Major in to become a PT?" And what I got was basically do what you love. I don't really have a specific passion though, but this job seems like something I would love to do. Anyways, do you have any advice for someone who hasn't yet attended college and is interested in becoming a PT?

    • @Corn22
      @Corn22 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      you could try general studies or just a general science degree. i went to community college for the first two years to save money, and got an AS in science which i transferred to a 4 year uni and did an exercise science BS. the current situation is really difficult-because shadowing people’s careers is what really will help you figure out what you love/want to do. a lot of people do exercise science or kinesiology majors, but you don’t have to take a specific major as long as you fulfill the prerequisite requirements of DPT school if you decide to apply later on

    Hello Tim! I'm a big fan from the Philippines who just graduated high school a few months ago. I've always aspired to become a Physical Therapist and always found that your videos helped me a lot recently. I was hoping to get your advice regarding a certain situation I am facing. With the next step of starting my undergraduate program, I'll be taking Sports Science in a college here in the Philippines, but I am planning to take a PT program in California afterwards because my mom lives there. My concern is that the curriculum of my course here in the Philippines does not contain all the prerequisite subjects needed for most PT Schools in california such as Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, and more. What would be the best approach in order to meet the qualifications of PT School in California?

    Does PT is interesting or boring. How you think?

    • @asharedo
      @asharedo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on you, and what the role is. The job can differ a lot depending on where you work and your perception of the job can differ a lot depending on your interests. Personally I find it interesting and challenging with everyday being different.
