    Great info as always. There are some DNP programs that are 3 years with requirement of previous Bachelors degree. Marian University is one such place that offers it🙏🏽.

      When I saw testimonies all over the place I thought the were bots or made up stories till I was convinced and gave it a try, honestly I don't regret the move I made

    I feel like you and I could be besties! When I need a 'picker-upper' I hop on your channel. MY route, my journey! At my 'seasoned' age of 43, I decided on a career change from system engineer to FNP. I knew I had to work hard and consistent to get my MSN before 1. I lost drive and energy and 2. I need to retire! lol I chose the long route and went straight thru ASN -> BSN -> MSN (FNP). Knowing what I know now, I would have gone the PA route. Solely because of the criticism, obstacles, judgment, and hardship I'm facing now as a full-time FNP student with minimal nursing experience. At this point, I'm 4 classes into my FNP with thousands upon thousands of dollars invested in very reputable schools and seriously doubting my ability to make it. Don't get me wrong, my grades are top-notch, I'm very driven, hard-working, and love learning. But because my focus has been getting my degree, I'm facing rejection after rejection for part time/prn jobs because I have minimal rn experience and they assume I'll be leaving in a year. If I was younger, Id do things differently, but I really don't have time to waste. I'm not sure I'll be able to get anywhere with just a degree, and I'm ready to give up! My husband says just finish your degree and take it from there ....! I'm at a loss.

    Kinda sorta but not quite (lol) off topic. I’m currently taking nursing school pre-reqs. I’ll be pursuing my ASN then BSN. Honestly I don’t think I want to work and go to school at the same time. Would it be “crazy” to get my ASN & not work while pursuing my BSN? Also, would it be outrageous to take the NCLEX after my ASN knowing that I’m going straight to BSN without working?

    • @shakerah6158
      @shakerah6158 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can work part time or per diem

      Thanks for watching and like @shakera H stated working per diem is a great option. That is what I did when went back to school for my masters, I would work one day a week. Taking your NCLEX after your ASN is totally fine even though you know you want to get that BSN, the NCLEX is nerve racking so I would just get it out the way and then go on to your pursuing your BSN. Best of luck to you
