The opening sequence is brilliant…..but the music just makes it better. Like others I am very puzzled as to why the soundtrack never got a commercial release, which is sad 😔
It's cool to hear the complete piece. The ending is the theme by Kenji Kawai. At the end of credits sounds a fresh arrangement that reminds me of Stand Alone Complex. Great material
It was a three note cue that appeared throughout the movie (though mostly in the dialogue scenes). The tracks that feature those aren't released yet but it can be heard during the credits: th-cam.com/video/Jlc8kiwjkBw/w-d-xo.html at 15.50 The SAC ones I was talking about was also a three note cute that played during the first Laughing Man Investigation arc, which I don't think made it to the OST album (search SAC unreleased, that thing has a lot of unreleased music). It sounds exactly the same. Then there are some subtle influences throughout the movie, like how the Skinny Man chase had the fast synth drums, which sounds similar to when Kuze tries to kill Kayabuki in 2nd GiG, and so on. The movie OST mostly take after Kenji Kawai, but I do hear some Yoko Kanno in there.

This track was the one that i loved most.
Starting from 2:40, and when it hits 3:40 it literally gave me chicken skin awesome Job.
SpAnKeR the cinematic/synth vibe between the two time slots are remarkable. it’s modern and still plays homage to the original soundtrack
