Having lost my wife to Ovarian cancer 12 years ago I'm thrilled to see a new woman in your life. We'd been married 44 years so I was not interested in remarrying, but wish you the best if that is what you are looking for. Only discovered your channel after your late wife passed and I went back to look at some of her videos and you were such a well matched pair. Good luck!
Yes Dougo, all your snow came down the mn river. We got out of school n New Ulm to sand bag by the river. I spent 2 days helping at great grandma's hauling sand bags with our loader tractor.
On those roads, on a day like that, can put a lot of stress on you sphincter muscles. You can lose a lot of sleep till they get relaxed and settle down. Heart rate comes down pretty easily but that sphincter coil takes a while to back off. THAT is also what puts the main damage in the seats in the truck!! Not mice!! In fact, what that sphincter does to seats, will repel mice! And humans with sensitive olfactory nerves!! Seriously, driving those roads IS very dangerous and you are wise to limit your speed and actions to a safe level. If it's 30 mph, so be it!! Better that, than dead. Great video. Just like I have come to expect here. Thank you again for all the work you put into them. I enjoy them very much.
10:36 The trick is to knock off the ice at the ethanol plant, after you have been on the scale with your load. The you get paid by the pound to haul ice to the plant. 😉😂
Chet i have to say i just watched a video from 3yrs ago and just watching you and the fellas grow and make farming fun has been awesome keep up the awesome work!! so many videos i find myself laughing and just smiling happy i stumbled across the channel three years ago!!
97 was a fun year for snow. I was 12. I remember my parents 751 Bobcat was unable to get any more snow moved. My dad's boss had to bring his Pay Loader out to move the pile back and make big pile. That was so much fun playing in that snow pile. My dad dug trails and forts in the pile. Drifts were 10ft tall in the shelter belt, so much fun playing in it. Now after seeing this year as an adult, I bet that year sucked for everyone else.
Hey Chet, screw compressors are highly efficient and very reliable, do some research but you wont be disappointed, that thing can deliver a unbelievable high PSI pressure and maintain it , no matter the volume of air you are moving ! Glad you were able to get away from the farm for some R&R , you all deserve it . I see you all could get some crazy weather Thurs and Fri and yes more big snow , y'all have a great week
We have lots of problems with screw compressors constant outlet element temp sensor issues, unloader valves, cheap contactors in them that cause intermittent faults like control powering down to estoppel issues but maybe it's just atlas copco
Hi dougo, i live over here in michigan, did you guy's get the snow we got in 77 or 78, it was the worst i've ever seen in my life. We have had a few bad one's this year, but back in the 70's that i mentioned, it covered about 3 foot of our front door, and we had to dig ourselves out of the house. We made some pretty good snow tunnels since school was shut down for a few days. I hope tonight is our last really cold one, the forecast looks promising for the next ten day's. G-d bless, looking forward to watching you guy's plant crops this year.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Welcome back home Chet. And welcome back to Eric. Good to have everyone back again. Lots of snow up your way. Keeps you busy pushing snow. See you have supplies for the new spray trailer. Time to start putting it together. Your air compressor thoughts. There are all kinds now days. Suggest doing some research on what type you want and available products. Probably not cheap. All for now. Thanks for everything Chet. Looking forward to the next video. The Iowa Farm Boy.
Looked like you got to enjoy some weather just like here in deep south Miami-Dade County judt above the Florida Keys. April 1st and it's 85 degrees only snow we got is on a cone with raspberry syrup on top. Big Swede has a cold running around with his jacket open ain't a good thing. Driving on black ice in a semi sucks. I did it in Michigan early 80's and that was enough. Switched professions.
Welcome back, Chet 😉 You know we love your posts, I'm not sure why people just can't hit the SUBSCRIBE button? Come on, people, let's help support Chet and the time he takes filming!
Hope you had a fun time while you were on vacation. Glad you are back it was good to see the big Swede. It was sad to see the fertilizer trailer leaving the yard.
Awesome video I'm so glad you decided to pick up a carma and record every day life on a farm thank you so much for your videos Chet Doug Erik and Brody
Yep, the winter of 96-97 was miserable. A whole lot of snow moving every other day it seemed like. snow banks on the side of the road so bad that when you went to town you didn't know if you would make it home or not. I think highway 210 west of Fergus Falls was closed more than it was open that winter, at least it seemed that way.
Hay Chet how old is that air compressor It looks good you should get ahold up the maker and see what they say about it blowing head gaskets they may help you
Screw type compressors are the way to go, but you'll need a storage tank, we usually take a old propane tank restore it and mount it upright to save space...
I remember watching those news videos on the flooding in Minnesota in 1997, east Idaho I think will have alot of flooding this year. Great video love watching them.
Erick, there is a way to keep from losing the nut. Like my younger son said, "I give you these instructions and the tharoubands, but, you have to do the exercises.!!" In your case with the nut you have to hang onto the wrench, can't drop the wrench.!!! I'm pretty sure you can get them in a bigger size but there are the inch wide alligator clips that you can hang pics or lists with a magnet on the backside to keep them on the fridge. Very strong little round magnet, but it comes off the other side gator clip. Put the magnet on the box end wrench whichever way is going to fit the best. But do this after you get the bolt far enough down so that the nut can contact the magnet then you screw the bolt out it stays in the Box head against the magnet and the magnet is fixed to the Box end wrench. I have not look for bigger than an inch alligator clip for larger nuts. good luck and take ten deep breaths and go alluuuuumm, aluuuuuuuuummm.😏😊🌝
On your Loader, Get yourself a tire groover, similar to what’s used on race car tires, and cut a groove on each pad, perpendicular to machine. It will make a huge difference.
Good job Eric .. Chet , It’s so hard being on the beach one day then knee deep in snow the next . Keep your chin up . Your doing fine . I still love my TRX ( Same color and loaded like yours) .. Sometimes I think I could have had a nice Ram for half the price as the TRX but nah… The TRX is a fun truck. Brody , Your doing great . Your a good hard worker. Always good to see Douglas .
If you get a new compressor, and don't want to spend the money on a rotary screw I would recommend a three stage PUMA compressor. All the air you need and made in the USA.
Awesome video Chet. Great to see that you were able to work a vacation in, was definitely well earned and deserved. If I'm not mistaken everyone in the country is ready for this winter to be over with. I definitely don't miss the icy roads and equipment (former truck driver). One of the kool things I learned while driving was to watch my cb antennas when it was cold out. They get to flipping side to side that was a quick sign that the roads were ready to freeze over. Good to see all of you back at the farm. 🚜🚜🚜
Nobody wants to spend money on new equipment if the existing equipment can be repaired... BUT and yes I am raising my voice ever so slightly Cheapo I mean Dougo...Exactly...I would have tried to fix our compressor pump too. Just replace the pump. That is how we got our Air Compressor back up. That was 19 years ago. I put our orginal Air Compressor in back '89. Knock on wood ... Tank, motor, and starter all working !😊
If you can get the screw style they work absolutely great I worked in manufacturing we had 4 -100 HP air compressors always had problems, the company bought 2 - 100 HP screw style & we were never had low psi again & we used on average 100 - 200 cfm @ 90 psi the new ones worked great !!
Reciprocal Compressor no need for a Screw Compressor. What you will spend in Maintenance for the Screw in the first three years for valid Warranty wouldn't be a Benefit especially after the Warranty goes. Find a 10 hp New or Rebuilt Quincy! That Pump you had in the video was what 2.5hp maybe a 5hp if the RPMs are sped up on the Electric Motor. Most 5hp Pumps are 2.5 HP Sped up. Lower the Votage and Amperage would have the best benefit for the Electric Motor and Prolong the Life of it. Three Phase is best. No worrying about Capacitors Blowing or Bleeding! Dont get a Rotary Screw.... Not even if a company that would do "Product Placement" you will still spend a small fortune on the Filters, Oil and the PM Service every Quarter. Don't get the Chinese Pumps they will blow gaskets especially with the hot/cold/hot/cold. 10hp Quincy New or Rebuilt! Non Detergent Oil thickness depending on the Climate or Season! Been around Air Compressors all my life!
Chet , I’m glad to see you with a female companion . You are a man of character and I’m sure she recognizes that in you . Winter keeps hanging on here in Wisconsin too . Yuck !!
Get the shop a two stage compressor, we HAVE an Ingersoll Rand 2340L5-V 5HP 60 GALLON 240V 174PSI. I Think the new part number is TS4N5 they also make a 7 1/2hp 60 or 80 gallon. Current price around ?1,300 If you're going to use it heavily I would get a Quincy brand.
Dang ! You boys are getting the snow this year. We have a lot more trees so at least it stays where it falls not like you have it blow over from the other county.
I live in the Central Valley of California and my friend lives in Ridgecrest City California in the desert not far from Red Rock Canyon California and today they are experiencing thunder snow that's crazy

Sorry about your cancer I pray that you will overcome. Just a note do not reply to the comment above 👆 that is a scam and not the Larson farm crew.
@@FlyGuide2024 The one about cancer is also probably a scam. Have found it on multiple sites just like the bots along with the other one.
@@leahmollytheblindcatnordee3586 It is.

Hi big sweet you jinxed yourself with the snow you asked for it and you finally got to have to move a bunch of it.
Big Swede is amazing… calls a spade a spade , and junk is JUNK !
Looks pretty cool in Doug’s glass’s too .
Hey Dougo, I remember '97 very well. Living in Manitoba we went through what we called the flood of the century, lots of sandbagging!!!
Hey Chet, screw compressors are highly efficient and very reliable, do some research but you wont be disappointed, that thing can deliver a unbelievable high PSI pressure and maintain it , no matter the volume of air you are moving !

Can you remember 2001 when she snowed I was not able to move chap the drifts were as big as me whn I was 7 bless
You need a pintle hitch for the Payloader. 7:07 that's harder to get Stuck. 7:32
Y’all need a snowblast snow blower. We upgraded to that a couple years ago, best decision. No more sheer bolt problems
Good to have ya back!
Hey Doug and Chet
I was down your way in 96'
With a 7800 and 4960 blowing back the snow.. yea I remember how deep the piles were.!
Glad you got some beach time and all is well.
I got a good deal on a puma 175PSI 80Gal take 20 years ago and its still running good.
They make Kevlar winch ropes and other ultra strong ropes -better than Steel maybe. Look around. 4:08
