This is a perfect example. Of why I rebuilt my dad's old bush hog. That closed up rear is counter productive to reverse cutting in heavely stuff. As low as that "guard" is you might as well just push everything off with the loader bucket. I have a Kubota B2320 with a 4ft redecked brush hog and I regularly cut bigger trees than those little cedars. In case y'all don't know, that "guard" is not to protect you from flying debris. That "guard" is to guard the manufacturer, in this case Bobcat, from flying lawsuits filed by inept buyers not having sense enough to keep random nitwits from walking behind the cutter and subsequently getting biffed by flying debris. This video might be amazing to someone who has never used tractors to cut brush but I found it taxing, at best, to watch.
Do you have a video on dealing with rocky soil? I just got 5 acres and this is my first property. I am wanting to clear out stuff and I am finding random rocks so if I go to clear out the property is there a way to rake them? Sorry for the stupid question I am new to this and poking at getting a compact tractor.
