I would like to chime in on a couple aspects of Sarah's adventures. And those would be her storytelling skills and her pictures, whereas her every image is clear and tells a story But, it is her editing skills which are absolutely impressive. The most impressive. As good, or better than whatever is is available on TV and cable. Her editing skills are on par with PBS. My opinion is PBS is the benchmark of storytelling. I am semi-retired after over 40 years writing, hosting, directing, producing and editing video. She produces videos of the highest quality. Her B-roll, or cutaways - images that augment her story - moves the narrative along beautifully. If I was looking for a video partner to assist in every aspect of video, I would scoop her up faster than a pistachios ice cream cone. I could lay on more compliments about her obvious skills, but just wanted to say what an incredible talent she possesses. Not least to mention her honesty and openness. I love her beautiful soul. If I were 30-40 years younger, I would be sending her love letters daily. I'm not smitten (well, kinda), just duly impressed. Think about it: she travels to the location, she runs the camera and the narrative (with perfect sound even when windy), she shoots with the light source behind her, she does voiceovers, she edits the show, and uploads it. All by herself. And I'll bet when she dials in a difficult edit and it comes out perfectly, she laughs crazily and pats herself on the back. I did. Oh and she properly calls the area The Sierra, not The Sierras. I hoist my morning coffee to you, Sarah Jane! TC
@@hestheMaster Thank you for keeping your comment upbeat! For starters, she could use a lot more viewers. Too many people don't know what they're missing. TC
Just move Mom to Bridgeport and call it a day. It sounds like she would be very popular there and you could go to Travertine Hot Springs whenever you visit.
It's great to see you again, Wonder Hussy! I'm an old lady now however I can always live life through your wonderful trips through California & Nevada. ❤
I've been a fan for years. I've been to the Eastern Sierras many times but I'm limited these days, cant drive long distances so much. I love the Bridgeport area, especially the hot springs. I love living vicariously through your great clips. Thank you so much for your geeat show Sarah Jane, keep on truckin' keep on soakin' ❤️❤️❤️
As a veteran. Let me just say. Honor Memorial Day as you wish. That's the best way to honor the sacrifice of the Fallen. They sacrificed everything so that we have the freedoms to make that decision. Honestly everyone that I knew that never came home. Would be happy to know that people are wishing others Happy Memorial Day and celebrating.
Mamas are the best. Without them none of us would be here. Some are better than others. Wonder Hussy's Mom must be an extra special woman to have raised Sara Jane. The results were fantastic. Lost my parents way too early. Glad Sara's Mom is still in her life.
You need more solar and batteries. Enjoy the ride and the blessing of still being able to be with your mom! You will know what to do and we will be along for the ride.
Bridgeport would be a great place for your mom. You'd only be about 4 hours away. It doesn't really get that hot in the summer there. I used to run the 395 corridor all the time, delivering high end hardwood flooring from the Reno NV area in the early 2000s. I'm very fond of Bridgeport. It's a beautiful place...
I think she should consider Lone Pine. Lone Pine is on the edge of Death Valley maybe 2 1/2 hours from where Sarah lives. Great little town in the shadow of Mount Whitney. might have to do her shopping in Bishop though and also Doctor.
I live in Idaho. And it was a low profile state, but not anymore. The natives are fighting of the influx of out of starters and namely the developers that are brought in by our so called leaders. We have a huge inventory of the ugliest apartment buildings and they want to build more. Unfortunately it looks like we are becoming another Portland. Central, North Idaho and the Desert is my favorite, are the best part of Idaho.
I stayed at that same motel a few years ago, I was in that front corner room on the left of your closing shot. I was shocked when I checked in and they handed me an actual key for the door instead of one of those magnetic cards. A great place to spend the nite and staff was very nice and helpful.
Wonderhussy is the best youtube personality. She is a master conversationalist bringing all of us into her world of nature and travel. My favorite channel.
Her shots are fantastic though.... She goes places people don't really go tthe scenery up there is just spectacular at the end of May with snow still in the mountains.....down where I live, we have already reached 100F with 80 percent humidity.😱
Yes. It's what we old folks do. You see, a long, long time ago, we honored our holidays on the original days they began, instead of the days that were marked for three day weekends by congressional decree in 1971. Memorial Day was always May 30th, not "the last Monday in May" when I was growing up.
Coincidentally, my 88 year old father and I were camping at Robinson Creek the week before Memorial Day. Fishing was good there and Twin Lakes. The cheese burger, fries and onion rings at The Barn are the best my dad has ever had. Mahogany Smoked Meats and Schatt’s Bakery in Bishop are must stops on the way home for us 👍
I was in Bridgeport a few weeks ago and stayed at the Virginia Creek Settlement, just a few miles out of town and close to the turnoff to Bodie. Prices for rooms were reasonable and had strong WiFi signal. The onsite restaurant had good food. Gas firepits and comfy chairs right next to the creek. Nice place.
Wonderhussy, you've always impressed me as being flexible when it's required. Glad you can help your Mom. Beautiful campsite. Love the aspen grove. Having to pull up stakes and go to town let you meet new people and dogs. Plus you got your favorite carne asada fries. Win,win, win. Keep doing you and we'll follow. Stay well Sarah ❤❤❤
Sage, lots of it. Bridgeport to Carson City, IMHO, God's Country. Some of the film, Out Of the Past (1947), starring Kirk Douglas, Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer, was filmed in and around Bridgeport! :)
The area around Bridgeport is gorgeous. There's a dirt road that leaves Bodie (Bodie-Masonis Rd) and heads north. Make a left turn onto Aurora Canyon Rd and end up in Bridgeport. Lots of spots on that route to camp.
Just 1:30 in we see Wyethia mollis. Has a wide soft leaf like a lambs ear or a mule's ear as it is commonly known. She really appreciates this area in particular coming from 24 years of living in the desert southwest. This is quite the quandry for her as she has to do both her video explorations and help mom out at the same time. That is the toughest part of being a reliable TH-camr. As for a nice affordable home look around northeast of Fresno, CA. A good choice to look around at but won't say the actual town's name here. ;) But hey, Bridgeport is awesome too. But boy howdy it gets cold in Winter, yikes! I'm very sure you will make a more comprehensive video of Bridgeport in the future.
You are a answet to prayers for me and I am so happy to have you and your show in my life, and you have lifted up my heart so much. I thank you so much. Please be blessed and safe.

I know I say this all the time, but these videos are the MOST interesting on TH-cam. Just fascinating. I'm based on the east coast but I have some work projects coming up out West. Can't wait to visit some of these places. Thanks WH!
I spent the last 10 years of their lives taking care of my parents, when I was at my day job I had a home health care company taking care of them. If I ever get to a point where I am as incapable as they were, well, there is always the self-directed early exit.
I love your office. Gotta have your own bathroom. Money is no object! I love Bridgeport. The turn-off for twin lakes and great fishing is right there. ❤
Shara the yellow flowers you were looking at are called Balsamroot. They grow all over the place up here in the eastern Cascade mountains in Washington. Ours were pretty much gone by Memorial Day this year. We love that part of California thanks for sharing.
I was camping at the same Happy Place you were this Memorial weekend. I was camping at "the bridge" in my Wolf Pup toy hauler with "Starry Starry Nights" Flag flying. I know what you mean about this being a "Happy Place". I come back often. So Happy to have been there again, and now so bummed I didn't get to meet you! I actually enjoyed the brief (big drop) rain shower, with a little hail tossed in for effect. 400AH Lithium battery keeps me going. One of these days I sincerely hope our paths will cross so I can tell you in person what a Wonderful Hussy you are.
I watched the Bagdad Cafe movie last night.......It is really cold you helped get a new roof for those folks ! ..........I mean you helped preserve a piece of history.
I live in the middle of the Arizona desert. I also had long hair . I always kept it braided which keeps it a lot cleaner and more manageable. I do understand about needing to wash your hair because of oil. My hair was super thick and down to my waist. But keeping it in a braid kept it under control and a lot cleaner on camping trips in my desert.
Love this video so much! We will definitely check out Bridgeport, CA. Can't wait to try Asada fries. YUM! Love that you're helping your Mom. Mine is in hospice and has not much time left. Moms are special and deserve respect and love. You keep things so real and relatable. Thank you.
Once more I extend the offer to come visit my summer camp. Kaniksu Ranch north of Spokane Washington. If you don't want to see a ton of naked people don't come the last weekend in July. That's the Bare Buns Fun Run and we typically see around 4-5 hundred naked runners. Love ya girl.
Thank you for taking us to Bridgeport again. It was nice to see you enjoying the great outdoors. Your fries looked amazing and filling. Best wishes to you and mom! Be sure to keep us updated on mom’s move. Stay safe and awesome! 😀🧧
Just a quick note. Jackery batteries are pretty hard to charge in a day to day way as a car camper unless you charge as you drive. Bluetti makes better solar batteries for traveling. Cheers!
I love Bridgeport! I could just live there in the Summer/fall..and go down to DV in the winter... I'll bet the fall colors up there are fantastic!... People so underestimate California...one of THE most beautiful states in America....
Great video Wunderhussy! I love the Eastern Sierras and hope to get up there and do some Tenkara fishing for the first time. Love, love, love to mountain bike down Mammoth Mountain while I’m up there too. Get a 12 volt plug that goes in the cigarette lighter plug and with the engine running while driving or even sitting still you can charge your battery in a pinch. You might have gotten one with your Jackery.
There was a bakery in Bridgeport, so popular they would sell out within a few hours. My family knew of it on their first visit to the Sierras because of friends who visited Bridgeport in the past. We would spend $15 (equivalent to $80 now). The last time I was there was in the 70s. To me much better than Schat's (in Bishop and then Mammoth Lakes).

My wife and I camp in that exact spot! BFR 😁 we live near Gardnerville. We even named it " wildflower camp" best star gazing ever!! LOVE the Sweet Water Mountains!
Ah, yes, The Barn! I was traveling home the day after Christmas and was getting hungry and The Barn was open! It was 18°F outside and there was a *line* to order food! (There is not any indoor eating area).... Bridgeport *is* a very beautiful town. The winters get cold....
I’m passing through that region starting this weekend. Then up to Lake Tahoe to Waterski and see the antique wooden boats. Hoping to find clothing, optional Beach or Two along the shore of the lake
I hope that you plug your battery banks in whenever you drive anywhere. And get some sort of a zipper bag to hold all the damn cables, there are so many.

The yellow flower is called Wooly Mule's Ears.
Mules ear, a good source of Arnica

Ah, yes, The Barn! I was traveling home the day after Christmas and was getting hungry and The Barn was open! It was 18°F outside and there was a *line* to order food! (There is not any indoor eating area).... Bridgeport *is* a very beautiful town. The winters get cold....
Use the 12 volt adapter and charger your Jackery off your vehicle battery.
I’ve stayed at the Redwood Motel. It had all the necessities required after a week in the backcountry.
I wish I had an "office" like that. Beautiful area.
I’m passing through that region starting this weekend. Then up to Lake Tahoe to Waterski and see the antique wooden boats.
Hoping to find clothing, optional Beach or Two along the shore of the lake
