Most freight runs between noon and 18:00. Thursdays are slightly better as 6H10 normally runs from the Bletchley branch. You get the odd 70 and 60, but most are 66's. Test trains seem to be running quite a lot lately so you might be lucky there.
Where are the Peaks, 47's and mark 2's of my youth? Happy days, especially going out to Bedford to fish the Ouse on a DMU from Hendon. So much has changed in a realtively short time.
The good old days. The Purple and Blue 319s and 377s😢
Brilliant video! Best I've seen in a while. Thanks
At 19:00, that meridian was a monster! Sounds that could almost rival the VP185
When FCC and EMT operates on this route the MML was awesome.
That clag is awesome at 21:52 :)
Thanks for uploading.
To hear those VP-185's scream like that reminds me of my youth with Valenta's at Teignmouth =-D
Awesome video of the trains at Bedford from long time ago! It's sad that the emr class 43 is not being used anymore😞
So different now with the overhead wires north of Bedford now and as well the rolling stock !
Espectacular !!! hermoso video
saludo desde Argentina
Great video, I really enjoyed seeing the HST thunder past. :)
Yes, those HSTs did have me clutching my man winkle. Joking everyone!
Your videos keep getting better by the hour!
Always a treat to use uk services
What speed are the HST going? It looks very curvy & those HST trains can be pretty heavy with diesel
Top speed through Bedford heading towards London is 125mph. Heading north is 110mph.
Good pictures and sounds
Bedford was awesome during rush hour
thiis video gives me nostalgia
hi i will be visiting bedford in the near future do you know whether freight is frequent and if so wat times?
Great vid, loving those HSTs!

@THAMESLINK319 Yep, just in rush hour, 1 service a day to/from London. But I think EMT send like local services through there aswell.
Was that rear power car at 8:07 a Valenta or a VP185 imitating a Valenta?
RianTrace84 The latter, all Valenta powered HST's were out of service by late 2010. VP185 trying to sound like it's cousin...and not doing too bad. 👍🏼
yep. since the valentas left in 2010, VP185 HST's have been the best
goodvideo
What was the LM train doing their?
Bletchley to Bedford service. London Midland has now been replaced with WMR and LNWR. LNWR runs the route now
Bletchley to Bedford. That's how u get to Bedford St. John's, and so on. It terminates on platform 1a, the buffer platform
How often do the EMT's go to Lincoln? (:
good video well done
Nice
not that much a few more freightliners, as its a crew change station.
I didn't realise trains still stopped at Corby since thatcher closed down british steel
They didn't. The station is new and only opened a year or two ago.

i still dont get it how can a train look faster than a car one day i will know but my guess is because their bigger
44s and 45s were the best AND THE JUILEES !!!! BUT I MUST ADMIT I WILL BE VERY SORRY WHEN THE HST SETS ARE WITHDRAWN ! hope they will see me out !
@THAMESLINK319 Haha, just noticed what you meant! :p
@rachaelmatt Lincoln may seem like a big city, but the station is pants. Well, last time I checked anyway (:
