- Sorry about the ads, but they help pay for the trips to go film the trains. Please Subscribe and check out my other videos, I have much better videos than this 40:00 barrage of CSX. These trains were filmed on Good Friday, 2012 on CSX Transportation's mainline in Defiance, Ohio.
Please excuse the advertisements. Through the Google Adsense program, the advertisements help me pay for the trips I take to capture the trains.

My grandfather started on the Great Northern railway in 1948 and when it changed over to the Burlington Northern railway many many years later until he retired in 1988 he had over 40 years of railroading experience and I loved to hear that train whistle when he pulled the train into the station to switch out crews for the next run...I guess you can say that railroading is in my families blood!! My grandpa's dream was that one day 4 his kids and his grandkids to go to work for the BN railway now merged with Santa Fe to become BNSF railway...We sure do miss you grandpa and wish we would've followed in your footsteps...sorry trying to fight back the tears but I have so many memories...toot toot toot!!!!!
Amazing story!
This video brings back tons of memories from my childhood.
Yep..
Yea
Thank you for this video. My 19-month-old loves trains and this is far more educational for him than any Baby Einstein video could be.
Thanks for providing our 2 year old grandson with all the train entertainment. He is obsessed with trains and tracks. We can never seem to catch one of our local trains going by (odd days and timing) so at least he can see them by watching your video! Nice work.
The 1st train was a great catch a former Conrail Dash 8 with original red marker lights and Leslie RS3L horn

That dying clown you speak of is what brings half of us down to the tracks. We use them to warn people that we're coming through.

I love this video! I just wish someone would tell that first engineer that their is a thing called a horn. USE IT OR LOSE IT!
He was using it.
Very Nice Video!
Natural selection.
Over a million views .... WANT :)
Cool video.
That is a busy area for trains in Definace and Bryan, plus north of Bryan just south of the Ohio Turnpike. Every time I go see my sister in Defiance, I'm never disappointed in missing some trains on the move. There is always a train or 2 crossing the road somwhere between North of Bryan and Defiance. Great area for rail fans. Great videos.
tf es? ww

looks like runaway train. nice horn sound. I also film railway in Sweden.
Nice catches worth my time
I barely remember this video. I’m 12 and can’t remember every video i watched when I was small. And I found my old comment from 3 years ago in this comment section lol
I love these videos
You mean Whiting Indiana is a dying town, and all the bells and horns are required since they will not upgrade crossings for quiet zones, not the railroad's fault. Also North America is the mirror image of European rail, inferior passenger but great freight, we (USA and Canada) carry 43% freight by ton-mile or metric ton - km (weight/distance ratio), the best among developed countries. Outside of Germany & Switzerland EU freight rail has problems (reference - the Economist 22-07-2010).
1st one has a sick horn
Nice video!!
