Great vid Dave! I still prefer the HALO III and feel that if MT were to make it again with the newer blade steels that they wouldn’t be able to make them fast enough. I also wish that they’d rerelease the HALO IV as the smaller SAOTF with a better blade to handle ratio than the V or VI is very desirable.
@@gratefulearlc8812 they are all collectible, you can do a google search for "valmets list" and it lists all Microtech knives prior to 2004 and how many of each were made
I like your videos! Looking to get my first Microtech OTF. It's between the combat troodon, dirac delta or ultratech. Let me hear your input. This knife will be my EDC.
As a first Microtech I always recommend the Ultratech or UTX-85. You'll get used to the action and it's small enough to not scare anyone unfamiliar with OTF knives. It's also the best bang for your buck.
@TheHollowGrind I was thinking about buying a Halo and carrying it with my CCL. As far as the "No Safety" with the VI, does the button still require a decent amount of force to fire? It isn't a hair trigger is it?
I'm not sure if they "stole" it but I do think Dalton had this single action otf first. I think the earliest Microtech version is from 1997. I could be wrong. I know little of Dalton history.
@@TheHollowGrind Dalton had it first even the name. He must sold the rights to microtech. Idk "all" the political stuff around it. But i do know Dalton made it late 70s- early 90's. I have a few of them aswell as Daltons cupid otfs. I'm sure microtech refined it Especially the newest halo's
Thanks for watching! If you have any video suggestions for us that you'd like to see please contact us right away!

Also the Draw-Bar is made of ALUMINUM in Halo I - V. Halo VI Draw-Bar is Titanium.
I love the size halo 3 more
My halo 3 is a very early one it has no ridges up at the top . I wonder if it’s more collectible?

I have absolutely zero [realistic] need for a gigantic single action OTF but I must have a Halo! Totally illogical but I need it.

Scarab II or Scarab Executive!

It isn't a hair trigger and still needs some force. The "no safety" one comes with a carry sheath (either plastic or kydex) that protects the button.
would you be interested in selling the looking halo

They need to rerelease the mini halo...
I like my $15 doom blade in d2 😜
They stole this from Dalton. The design

I regret selling the one we had
from yall's ex[erience anyone find a better carrying solution to the halo's?
I personally don't have any experience carrying a Halo, but I know cocoon sheaths are popular or horizontal carry
