As well, the insurance is generally cheaper because these are registered in most states as motorcycles, which are usually insured for less than $300/year. And you don't need a motorcycle license to operate one most of the time, but even if you do, that test isn't hard either.
The concept is great although reversing looks to be an issue, I wonder if they could make one of the front wheels electricly powered just for reverse from the onboard starter battery. Just a thought.
Hi Panther Motors try to start ur venture in India and it is a very ideal market for such concept vehicles and with this type of mileage we would love to own one and for our narrow and congested roads, I think Scoot Coupe is an ideal answer.
Depends on perception, really. It gets 60-70 MPG and driven correctly, could probably see closer to 80. Your car uses, at minimum, twice that, and more than likely 3-4 times that much or more. You could literally recoup the cost of the vehicle in fuel savings inside a couple years' time if you drove this more often than your car, and if it's generally just you in your car, such as commuting to work, you still have space to combine trips and haul the groceries etc home with you.
Everyone that has more that 1 car should add this type vehicle as a 3rd. something that is faster than walking, as safe as bike, more economical than the average standard car, and would be the first thing to take going for small errands.
I hear that, here in Florida, if the engine is 50cc or less, you DON'T NEED a driver's license to ride one of these...IF you STAY ON THE SIDEWALK, and stay BELOW 20 mph...! Is THAT REALLY true (sure hope it IS, I'm thinking 'bout GETTING me one!)? ;-)
I believe FL prohibits motorized vehicles on sidewalks ... you are correct that under 50cc works for scooters, but not sure about 3 or 4 wheeled vehicles
You can sit & relax in one of these on a chopper you have to sit on the sidewalk that's why you want one of these & use your computer in comfort ;) lol
I want one, i have a truck and it sucks on gas, and i bet all who say they wouldn't get one, when the gas gets higher and you cant afford it no more, you will wish you got one,
65 mpg? Really? No one is gonna get in this death trap as it's not much of a trade off. Don't get me wrong it's everyone else driving their 2 ton vehicles like they're battering rams that are the problem, not efficient vehicles. My Fiero was relatively safe and much heavier than this, but it was still dwarfed on the highway and always got comments by most everyone that saw it. I too only experienced negative feedback from people in TRUCKS, and NOW I can reflect on WHY!
Before you say anything, notice how the seats are basically molding into the body with small thin seat cushions attached. Doesn't look comfortable and its also slow. Great for tourists but I don't know why anyone would own one for personal use.
why the hell would you not just have a motorbike? I mean seriously, this thing has a bike engine, doesn't have a roof, is slower than a bike and is worse on gas than a bike, so why would anyone have one of these?
They can still see you. This is a lame argument perpetrated by the same people who forced us all to succumb to their "safety" regulations that keep people in those dumb SUV's and trucks.

You can register it as a bike, pay less insurance, and don't need a bike license in many states to ride it.

What is the total length in meters scootcoup? Does anyone know?
In total: 1.42 meters wide (56") x 2.44 meters long (96") x 1.27 meters tall--that's with the roll bars (50")
--Ane

Super koll, deberían venderlos en Colombia, compraría varios.
And you can fit this at the back of your truck, in-case of an emergency!
I would be scared tho being so low to the ground. A truck or big svu might just run me over because they can't see me
250cc and a reverse gear, and I'd drive one!

Seat belts and helmets are nonsense for this car, right?
@BerTinVan2012 I just checked out their website ... about $6500

That's more of a tourist rental vehicle... I wouldn't make it a daily commuter
Shut Up And Take My Money
7k way to much and needs reverse
Messerschmitt Kabinenrller was better sitting behind each other, 200cc 2stroke 8okh
