Started watching your videos when we were left to our own “devices/demises” when companies sent workers home remote… it has been a silver lining… over the years have respected your candor, passion, and thoughtfulness in all your videos, explaining the “why” and heart in all you do. Thank you, these have helped me in starting to think through my “ones” and how to develop systems and tools to grow deeper in the knowledge of God, not just to say “look at my cool Bible” but something much deeper and richer of eternal value which is what I know and hope you and others in this are in it for. Thank you.
I like the simplicity of your latest version for marking my bible. I just purchased a new bible, so just now starting to mark it. Ive been using a Pentel 8 color pencil, which I really like. Doesn't bleed etc..Per your advice, I switched from a Pigma Micron 003, to a 005 which is much better, thanks. The 003 was just too light.
NASB 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 My hard copy NASB is a 1973, because I’ve had it since 1973, the year I became a Christian. My NASB e-Bible is a 1977. The one I have in my e-sword app is 1995 because that is what I could get. But my digital Bible (interactive, not to be confused with an e-Bible) is 1977.
After checking multiple systems when first getting into note taking and marking my bible...i came across your system which pretty much the system i use in all my bibles. The colors may vary but its very close.
💯 % iv got the Allen reader ! Best to preach out of. It hits every piont for the GOAT. But for me I want that exact reader and lay out in a KJV 👑 I have that Thomas Nelson NKJV verse by verse too, great all rounder !!! I haven't Mark in any premium bible, can't bring myself to do it haha. Maybe I should get a canterbury wide margin? 🤔
Thanks! Usually when I mark it, it sticks with me because I remember what the pages look like and where I wrote specific notes. Other than that, I also put what Bible I preached from in my sermon notes, so I can grab the one that matches.
@@davidleebrown3956 I think this has been an issue for me too. I am trying so hard to use digital, it is convenient, things sync across devices and there is the hope that I will future proof my highlights and notes because they are saved in the cloud. But I don't have those rich times with the Lord in His word when using digital. Someone once told me "You need paper to start a fire" and my pre-digital age brain needs that physical book and paper. Which video did you say you talked about left and right brain? Blessings brother.
Also curious, you had two “stacks” of the “ones”… do you have a separate one that you only read from and not mark up (though outside the context of this video), but curious if your video of favorite readers still stands from a few years back.
I've never marked any of my bibles up, but I want to at least highlight in my NIV pitt minion. Would you say you mainly mark to refer back to later, or is it more so it "sticks" more in your mind? I feel like marking the page would help me really remember what I have read and understood

Wow. Thank you so much for sharing that. Truly humbling.
Have you ever watched Matthew Everhard's now taking videos explaining the Jonathan Edward's Miscellany now taking system? Looks perfect for you!
Wow! 8 the ones??? I love it 😆
Hehe. Sí

I watched all 3. They were fantastic but how do you remember which Bible has what?

Pretty stacks.
Thanks!
Hi brother great video. Do you ever use digital Bibles to take notes, highlight etc or do you always use paper Bibles?
Always paper. I just can’t get into the digital ones.

I love that quote! I believe I actually mentioned it in both videos. But maybe more so in the one previous to this.
@@davidleebrown3956 ok I will check it out. Bless you mate.

Those are my other ones 😂. Seriously though, The Quentel is still my favorite for that.

Both-actually.
