Exactly. I knew better than to give my kids everything without an effort by them. If they wanted expensive things like an Iphone, expensive sneakers or a new gaming console they had to work for it. That way they appreciate the value of things and the work it takes to buy them. I didn't expect to see a Lithuanian girl here lol When she said "dirty money", I could relate to this. In our culture, boomers and older generations tend to say if you have much money, most likely the money is dirty. Usually "dirty" refers to frauds, money laundering and tax avoidance. There is some stigma or shame to make more than others. Meanwhile the majority of population lives above their means instead of earning and saving more. It's just a cultural thing. I'm happy I found your channel which helps me to unlearn some bad habits. I just smashed both Subscribe and Like buttons. 😊
Although I think there's some good in that attitude, too. I've noticed in the US, even when it's obvious the money is actually dirty and the person with the money is always involved with constant lawsuits and is known to refuse to pay people who work for them, people praise them as being a 'genius'. (Obviously Graham made his money legitimately, I've just noticed in the US they value the rich so much that even when it actually is dirty money, they're showered with praise and admiration.) I feel like in the US, the love of the wealthy is very bad for the economy because it motivates people even more to hoard wealth, often at the expense of others, particularly their employees. They're so fixated on being able to brag about what's in their bank accounts that they pay their employees barely livable wages even in record breaking years of profit, while giving themselves raises. Of course, I think the healthiest attitude is somewhere in between. Try to earn more if you want more, but if you're an employer, recognize the value of your employees and that they're doing all the work to make you rich, and that if there's a record breaking year of profits, it was probably their work that put you there, and pay them accordingly. Be proud of those who earn more through hard work, but be disgusted by those who make massive amounts of wealth while their employees starve.
Loved watching you reacting to this video. It's a spin off of Rich kids go skint which is a great programme . I think there is a few episodes where they go homeless. They generally at the end change their perspective and help the family out.
To be fair, in the past the goal was survival. I don't know what you think will magically bring purpose to growing older, making life easier, and creating more people.
Yep. We have an economy that's basically eliminating the middle class, and separating people out into very rich and very poor, even though studies have found peak happiness is when people make somewhere in the middle. At the time of the study it was $75k per year, though with inflation that could have changed. Basically, I think of it like a video game. With the very poor, it's like playing a video game where no matter what you do you end up losing. You'd probably get sick of playing and give up very quickly. With the rich, it's like a video game where everything's super easy, and whenever you try to get something in the game, it's already there, and that's not satisfying either. With a game like that, you'd get bored really quickly and lose interest. Honestly, that's why I think high estate taxes are good for the rich, even though they don't want it because they feel entitled, because at the end of the day having a massive amount of wealth just handed to you isn't healthy. True happiness comes from working towards your goals, and having those goals be attainable with enough effort to feel like you've earned it.
i'm absolutely loving watching you to react to our UK shows, through my life skegness has been the only holidays i've ever known and always loved it, my grandparents loved it so much they bought a caravan and moved there permanently for their retirement

In these situations, I think "rich kids" go one way or the other... either they sooner or later recognize and respect the value of money and simplicity, or they genuinely believe that "just one more shopping trip, vacation, flashy car, five star dining outing, etc." will fill the hole in the soul. This is why many ultimately either commit suicide or evolve into losers. They have no purpose or meaning in life; they simply go about it the wrong way. Peer/societal pressure is a big factor too.
Do Americans know anything about the uk? Like when he said a ‘towel warmer’ 😂 it’s called a radiator and it’s to heat up the place because it doesn’t have central heating
it's called a radiator in the US, too, but I've never seen a radiator that close to a toilet except when it actually is a towel warmer. also, radiating heat is common on the east coast of the US but not out west where Graham is
I'm from Canada and we also have radiators, but I too would've called it a towel warmer seeing as it is in the bathroom and is the perfect shape to hang towels on. We don't see this kind of radiator all that often, at least where I am.
This chicks life is tragic and I feel sorry for her. Money only goes so far, but if you don’t have genuine quality people to spend your time and money and energy with… You’re just gonna die alone with piles of cash. Also...having zero ambition to do anything with your life is really pathetic. I’m definitely glad I am not her.
2:41 $5 thousand dollars for a shirt... You could buy a car for that... You could drive all the way across Canada, probably multiple times, or, buy this shirt
6:36 It is not a towel warmer. It is standard fare in older homes in Europe to DRY the towels. Some newer homes too, but depends on what they modeled it after.
Graham I have an idea to boost engagement on the iced coffee hour clips! You could have like a 10% off coffee coupon hidden in every clip so people would watch the clips 😂

it's called a radiator in the US, too, but I've never seen a radiator that close to a toilet except when it actually is a towel warmer. also, radiating heat is common on the east coast of the US but not out west where Graham is
@@snestah sorry! 😂 sometimes I just feel like Americans no nothing when really they live in the same world as us
No radiators in Los Angeles, where he is from. They have them in northern states where it’s cold
I'm from Canada and we also have radiators, but I too would've called it a towel warmer seeing as it is in the bathroom and is the perfect shape to hang towels on. We don't see this kind of radiator all that often, at least where I am.
@@evagarbett2437 yeah we don't care about boawaor
This chicks life is tragic and I feel sorry for her. Money only goes so far, but if you don’t have genuine quality people to spend your time and money and energy with… You’re just gonna die alone with piles of cash. Also...having zero ambition to do anything with your life is really pathetic. I’m definitely glad I am not her.

$5 thousand dollars for a shirt... You could buy a car for that...
You could drive all the way across Canada, probably multiple times, or, buy this shirt
Your comments were hilarious and spot on. Despite her (parents) wealth she is going to emotionally struggle in life.
Would love to see Graham reacting to what she spends in a regular week
6:36 It is not a towel warmer. It is standard fare in older homes in Europe to DRY the towels. Some newer homes too, but depends on what they modeled it after.
Im so used to watch old videos of Graham that I got shocked when it said 40 minutes ago 🤣
What a great sense of humor u have!!! Your commentary is epic!!!
Graham I have an idea to boost engagement on the iced coffee hour clips! You could have like a 10% off coffee coupon hidden in every clip so people would watch the clips 😂
This was great, savage Graham is finally coming back
haha thanks
3:05 Hey Graham...I want to exchange all my dollars for pounds with you... because as you said "tomato-tomato" 😂🤣
There's a really good reality show called "rich kids go skint". Rich kids go to spend a few days with a poor family. Ins't dramatic, isn't fake. It's really touching and real
I like how he took the word “holiday” and ran with it
Absolutely right Graham, work and family gives your life purpose. Sad we all have to re-learn the same things our ancestors already knew.
the iced coffee looks darker today. are you using the new 20 cent iced coffee?
SMH My extended family acts like this. So glad I grew up on a farm instead of the city. Rich people that act like this make me sick. So shallow, inconsiderate and emotionally unstable.
Loved the voiceover 😂
Love your perspective and sarcasm. You are quite wise for your age.
Purpose is so important in life. Great video!
It really is!
please keep doing the UK style reactions. good to see your perspective.
This is probably the perfect video for you to react to.
those caravans are "cost effective" at the outset of buying one, but they cost as much as a mortgage AND they rapidly fall apart. unlike apartments, you dont get maintanence help from the property manager, and unlike a house, you dont get an appreciating asset unfortunately.
I hope to one day be able to be as financially disconnected as her 😂
Graham’s commentary always cracks me up🤣🤣
My cousins live in Skegness where this was filmed…. It could be a paradise for you Graham 😂 there is a running joke in the UK that it is the low budget version of Vegas
so glad you found these being from the UK!
When he said “They look like little beach cottages though” 😂 Iykyk they are definitely NOT like beach cottages
I though the same thing 😂 still laughing that he had to google what skint meant 😂
@@millswilkinson Me too!
Oh my goodness!! I'm glad you've discovered "Rich kids go skint". There's also "Rich house poor house" and a few others!
"You can do anything other than buy this, and it would be a better use of money." Even €3-4k worth of Starbucks, Graham?
'The hidden gem of youtube' - haha this is just one of our channels on tv in the uk. They always go on repeats on weekend mornings and I almost always put them on.
Hey I'm early finally 😍😍😍
Graham if you are reading this thank you soo much for getting me interested in finance, financial freedom and money making 🙌🙌
I am addicted to your videos and watch them daily and smash the like button like crazy
All I want to say is thank you 🙏🙏❤
You got this!
@@TheGrahamStephanShow OMG it's happening
Thank you so much for replying TBH you just made my day :)
Loved this video! Definitely make it a series Graham this one was so fun!
Totally agree 👍🏻
Britain has a couple shows where rich kids gain class awareness. I remember there is one on youtube where the rich kids are introduced to poor kids in their regions and their struggles.
Rich Kid: Hello fellow poors.
She does run her own business and successful at draining simps wallets.
if you like stuff like this you might be interested in a show we had called "The Great British Benefits Handout" Its essentially the opposite of this, where people living on benefits are given a lump sum of money but they had to give up their benefits, and so they are encouraged to try to get themselves working, usually starting up businesses. It is a full on documentary styled show so it probably wouldnt be a good length video but its very interesting
