1976 Chevrolet Corvette - NCRS Top Flight Award
1976 Corvette with 47,XXX actual miles, was in long term storage for 22 years when I purchased it in 2009. I am the third owner. This 96.7 point NCRS Chapter Top Flight award winner has undergone a ground up restoration. Restored to factory correct finishes on all components. Every part was rebuilt, reconditioned or replaced. Completed and judged on 4/29/2012. Only driven 649 miles locally and to car shows since judged and garage kept.
Factory options include:
Matching #s L-48, L-350 180HP, 192=Bl/L Deluxe interior with black leather seats and wood grain trim, A31 Power Windows, C49 Rear Defogger, C60 Air Conditioning, J50 Power Brakes, M40 Turbo Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission, N37 Tilt-Telescoping Steering Column, N41 Power Steering, UFI Map Light Mirror, U69 AM/FM Radio, Paint Code 22 Bright Blue. Original Firestone spare tire.
Additional upgrades for performance and handling include:
True dual exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers (No Cats), Bilstein shocks front and rear, VBP rear monospring with strut rod kit and SS shims, PST polygraphite super front end kit, BFG radial T/A P255/60R-15 tires, plus sound deadening was added when new carpeting was installed.
Interior - seats were completely reconditioned down to the frame and springs and replaced with all necessary hardware, foam and new leather seat covers, replaced black door panels, door panel chrome trim strips, center console, carpeting, weather stripping on T-Tops, NOS clock and battery restoration. Original T-Top storage bags with tie down strap.
Chassis - complete front suspension and restoration including PST super front end kit, new coil springs, 4 wheel alignment with new shims. Complete rear suspension and restoration including rear monospring kit, brake shields and bushing kit, 2 new rear half shafts, complete SS parking brake kit, rebuilt trailing arms and strut rod brackets. New fuel tank and lines. All new brake lines, brake calipers and master cylinder.
This Corvette still wears its original paint. If you’re looking for a perfect paint job, this is not for you. The car shows stone chips and some areas of paint flaking but still holds a nice shine. This is a low mileage, fully equipped Corvette with a ground up restoration. A new paint job would escalate the value for future investment.
This Corvette runs excellent and has very tight handling as you would expect from a classic Corvette. It is priced below what it would cost to purchase and restore to this condition again.
