My mother, born in the Pale, used to sing this lullaby to me ❤
My mother used to sing this to me - and I'm 73 now so it brings back happy memories.
Toda raba
Can't believe I never posted a comment before. I've been coming back to this rendition repeatedly over the years. What a glorious voice! When that ending arrives, I always cry.
This song is new to me, and it is very touching. I heard it it in War and Remembrance. Jane Seymour sung this song very well which led me to this video.
My mother was born in England but she knew this song from her Russian mother. Every time I hear this song it brings back memories. So beautiful.
❤
