      You are going to likely have hardware issues. Test fit the nylock nut on the frame through bolt before you start. The nut is the wrong TPI. Won't even turn two full rotations. Also, the forward plate mounting bolts are the wrong TPI as well. Two turns and then dead stop.

    This thing fits like a glove and because of that it can be tricky. Very well made. Thanks guys!

    Wish you guys would’ve included instructions on this install. Had to watch this video a few times!

      We stopped supplying printed instructions years ago. Ever since we switched to videos only the amount of calls and emails regarding certain steps and troubleshooting tips reduced tenfold.
      Videos include a ton more details, hence we and our customers (generally) prefer them. Thank you for your understanding

      Same, they just gloss over the bracket part, which is the most detail-critical part of the installation process. Took me forever to figure out how the brackets all went together. Also trying to figure out why they used round hex cap bolts in a location where that is probably the worst possible choice for that kind of fastener.

    Now my small bracket is hitting the horn before getting to cross brace. I think some paper instructions along with video would help. Rewinding a million times gets old.

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your input. Installing these products is very complex and paper based instructions simply cannot contain enough details to complete the job. We had paper manuals for years.
      The horn is easy to adjust.

    • @mindofmonster
      @mindofmonster 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Finally got it. You have to kind of push it up and slide it over so that notch slides over horn corner. It fits, just gotta be patient.

    What exactly is happening from 2:57 through 3:24? I can't tell and I have all this stuff sitting in front of me right now.
    You jump around and are clearly using a bracket, yet you only mention "do one side at a time" while attaching multiple things and bolts. And you jump from the left side to the right side.
    Also at 3:47, you mentionm a nylock nut and washer. I don't have any extra. They every nut and washer came attached to a bolt in the bag. Where is this nut and washer supposed to come from?

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From around 2:50 until 3:10 we remove the front LHS small through bolt and then the long rear through bolt. Hence we go from one side to another.
      In case you’re missing any hardware we’ll be happy to send replacements free of charge. We apologize for the inconvenience!

      @@Outbackmotortek I don't understand why you guys don't show the lower bracket orientation in the video. It can be installed both upside down and backwards. You have a 1 in 4 chance of getting it right the first time. Why not mark it U/D and L/R? Also, the smaller connecting brackets are side specific too. You don't mention any of that in the video. You don't even show it. You just gloss over the part that would benefit from some detail. Even labeling the small brackets R and L would save people time. No one wants to be laying on the ground playing the parts guess lottery on which parts go on which side.
      For the life of me I can't figure out why you randomly decided to use round hex cap screws in only 2 places....places where round hex cap screws are a giant pain to get to. Why not just make all the hardware the same format? A standard bolt would make the most sense considering a socket would be the easiest to tighten in that location.

    Why no engine protection built into the bars?

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We have a skid plate instead with high sidewall coverage simply because there are no mounting points in the lower half of the bike. We prefer not to bolt crash bars on the engine. Our skid plate is frame and crash bars mounted, thus it avoids putting any load on the engine under impact
