*”Hello Alastor.”*
The sultry voice makes Alastor stop in his tracks with a barely-repressed sigh. *Not this a-hole again.* He rolls his eyes before turning to address the dark figure materializing from the shadows. “Hello Azrael. How… *nice* to see you again.” He says trying to keep the bite from his tone.
“Likewise,” The angel of death chuckles as he approaches with a saucy smile on his face, “how’s your injury?”
Of course he would know about that. “Practically non-existent now, thanks for asking.” He tries to keep an even tone as The angel brazenly steps into his personal space.
Azrael’s eyes narrow, yet his smile remains. “And your *other* predicament?” He purrs while ghosting a hand over the skin of Alastor’s throat.
The radio demon snarls before taking a swipe at him, only for Azrael to dissolve into a thick black smoke that coils around him like a snake ensnaring its prey. The familiar smell of death & decay floods his senses as the angel’s laughter echoes in his ears.
“Won’t you ever learn dear?” Alastor staggers and leans against a wall as the heady smell overpowers him, and Azrael’s smug smile appears first as his body reforms in front of him, his face so close their noses nearly touch. *”You can’t kill death itself.”*
The smell fades along with the dizziness, and Alastor sneers at the angel who seems determined to drive him insane every time they cross paths. “Just tell me what you want Azrael,” he lifts a hand to push him away, “I have more important things to do than to deal with your shenanigans-“ The angel wraps a hand around him to tangle his nimble fingers through the ends of his hair and Alastor braces his hand against Azrael’s shoulder to preserve as much space between them as possible.
“I can break your chains *my dear,* if you’re willing to make a deal.” He speaks softly, his expression inviting, but Alastor only laughs in response.
“And bind myself to *you* in exchange? HA! No.” To his surprise, Azrael chuckles at his answer.
“I have no need for that,” his smile turns predatory and his amber eyes gleam with amusement, “if I wanted your soul *that* badly, I’d have already taken it. Leash or no leash.”
Alastor pauses, his interest piqued despite his apprehension. If there was anyone powerful enough to do it, it would be the incarnation of death itself. “So what do you want?”
His smile softens. “One dance my dear, that’s all I ask.”
Alastor blinks. It couldn’t be *that* easy, could it? “That’s it?” He asks while raising an eyebrow. “One dance, and you’ll give me my freedom?”
“Under the condition that you can’t use it against the royal family or any residents of the hotel.” He shrugs, “I have to keep a certain balance you know.”
Anticipation swells in Alastor’s chest. He could live with that. Though he does wish the angel could be a little less handsy with his approach.
Azrael’s gaze turns knowing, as if reading his thoughts. “So, it’s a deal then?”
I don’t know, just something I came up with based on the picture. 🤷🏻♀️

I know practically nothing about Azrael except he’s apparently an OC that’s supposed to be the Angel of Death and has an apparent fascination with Alastor, so I just made up whatever kind of powers I thought the incarnation of death would have and ran with it. Definitely not my best work, but for something I wrote in less than 10 minutes, I guess it’s not bad. 😅

Man, how fitting and hilarious would it be for Alastor of all people to not just have an obsessessed stalker, but have it be an angel, and none other than Azrael himself, which is kinda fitting considering who Azrael is as the Angel of Death, and woth how artistic and classy Alastor was in life, it couldve been seen that when he was monolguing or singing when killing, that he was serenading Azrael accidentally.

I've noticed the trend of angel Al alternate universes (AUs), and coincidentally stumbled upon this music video again. Now, seeing it, I can't help but imagine an absurd AU storyline.(Please do not hate me...😶)
Au:
Alastor's vanishing seven years ago still ties back to Lilith, but instead of her claiming his soul, she traded him for passage to heaven with Azrael. Azrael transformed him into a false angel, but he fled back to hell to run away from Azrael's control.
Azrael:
Azrael knew Alastor because of him being killer responsible for many deaths. He was intrigued by Alastor's unique soul, influenced by voodoo and other mysterious elements. Initially just observing Alastor's time in hell, Azrael's interest grew over time, leading him to strike a deal with Lilith to bring Alastor to him, promising her a place in heaven (made up). Azrael also sought God's assistance to transform Alastor into a false angel, allowing him to stay in heaven (don't ask me how he allowed that and how Azrael managed to convince him...). Despite doubts about how this was achieved, it worked for six years until Alastor escaped. Despite efforts to locate him, interference from Lucifer, Michael, and Gabriel prevented Azrael from finding Alastor until events at the Hazbin Hotel (last episode) led to his discovery and plans to get him back.
Alastor:
Alastor was forcefully transformed into a false angel, erasing all memories from his human life to his time in hell as a demon. Under Azrael's control and manipulation, he believed Azrael was his partner despite the memory loss. Although some aspects of Alastor's personality remained, like his sassiness and violent tendencies, he became more naive and curious. Living as a false angel for six years, he gradually sensed something was amiss until discovering the truth. Attempting escape alone, he was captured by Azrael, who planned to erase his memory again. Seeking aid from Michael and Gabriel, with Lucifer somehow getting involved, Alastor eventually escaped back to hell, indebted to them. His involvement with the Hazbin Hotel was partly driven by this debt.
Note:
I understand this might seem inconsistent and have plot gaps, but it's just a spontaneous idea I jotted down casually as an outline. I felt compelled to share it here just in case someone finds it intriguing enough to develop further and make a fanfic out of this. It's one of those thoughts that would keep nagging at me if I didn't put it out there.
Ps: yes, yes... Alastor is aroace, no need to comment that. However, understand that people will still ship him with other characters despite that. Creating alternate universes (AUs) allows fans to explore fantasies involving their favorite characters, even if those scenarios wouldn't occur in the original storyline. It's a way to respect the character's sexuality while indulging in creative imagination.

“Oh Alastor~”
Called out the Angel of Death, walking around Hell trying to find the lost soul he now owns (given to him by Lillith in exchange for the spot in Heaven she has). Alastor, meanwhile, hides merely just around the corner from where Azrael is walking, breathing heavily as he watches him pass by. Alastor breaths a sigh of relief, but the relief is short lived when he sees Azrael appear in front of him through a thick cloud of shadows. The smell of the deceased souls radiates off him like gasoline.
Alastor: “What do you want,
Azrael: “Now now dearest, is that any way to talk to your owner?”
He says sarcastically, a black chain appearing around Alastor’s neck, pulling him to his knees in front of the Angel.
Azrael: “Oh dearest, I’ve been waiting to see you for such a long time after you ran away from me.”
Alastor growls, but keeps quiet knowing what Azrael could possibly do to him if he opened his mouth.
Azrael: “Now, come along dear, we’re going to have so much fun now that I’ve found you~”
