In one of her video she ate alligator meat and I was so shocked that Japanese people eat alligator meat. I'm doing major's in Indian history, vegetarianism in India is deep rooted and the reasons behind it is not just religious. Indian civilizations had big think tank way before Greeks and Egyptians. One need to study our ancient texts written thousands of years back to grasp the logical aspects behind vegetarianism promoted in hindu culture. Vedas promote living food, means food that is alive like sprouts , fresh vegetables and fruits etc. When we kill an animal it dies secreting stress hormones in it's blood & flesh. Eating such food on constant basis affects our mind and body. To stay alive you have to take life , that is harsh reality we all need to accept but vedas teach that when one needs to survive in the wild , they have the impunity to kill and eat that living animal. But in favourable conditions , humans should eat plant based diet and for additional nourishment of mind and body , milk & milk products of cow is the best source. That's why in hindu culture, cow has been given such high respect. Hindus worship many animals as godly beings , not just animals but plants too. One example is tulsi plant ( holy basil ) , hindus worship tulsi yet they eat/drink tulsi with atmost respect. This tells us , hindus doesn't see plants different from animals , it's just they have researched enough to know the difference between herbivorous and omnivorous diet benefits for us humans. & Ultimately found the best balance possible with nature and themselves.
I adore japan and have read about the great famines japan has been through in past. Japanese culture has roots like hindu culture , worshiping plants & animals both. May the day come when people will reach the same level of wisdom once again and world will be a harmonious.
Milk and milk products were actually just saviours for people in areas such as deserts, or semi-arid areas, where one could neither get plants nor animals. So that's why people started respecting cows so much. But now, if plants are available, milk is not required. A regular human being's milk necessity ends when he/she stops drinking his/her mother's milk. That's why, an adult almost never suffers from protein deficiency. Nowadays, no matter how much people say that cows are sacred, the conditions they are subjected to and the way they are tortured for milk is inhuman. They are forcibly impregnated over and over to keep a steady supply of milk. This causes a few of the bones in their lower back to deform, due to which they are then unable to walk. Have you seen cows with their legs chained? It is for this reason. They stumble and fall as soon as they take a single step, so they are chained in their legs. They are quite smart so some studies also show evidences of Clinical depression in them. Moreover, as soon as their calves are born, they are separated from the mother, and the milk they deserve is being sold to humans. It has been scientifically proven that we do not require milk in any way, and in fact, the calcium in the milk is acidic calcium, which drains pre-existing calcium in our bones-a cause for weakness in later years, and the protein in the milk is not utilizable by humans- i.e. the form it exists in is not suitable for human bodies to digest. Only if we don't have any other source of food is when milk actually is a saviour, but otherwise it has been deemed as "white poison" by scientists. Oh, and can u guess what happens after a cow loses the ability to produce milk? Yup, it is slaughtered and exported. This is the bitter truth. By supporting the milk industry, you are also supporting the beef industry. India is the largest exporter of beef because we do not consume it. people are doing alll of this merely for money.
So the question is upon you now. Do you really want the same cow we respect so much to undergo all of this? Do you really think we are being respectful to cows? If you do not rear the cows at your home in a happy environment, and ensure that it's child first gets the milk, then don't you think you are committing a heinous sin by financially supporting this industry?

I clearly state that I'm talking about hindu culture / vedic Sanskriti, according to vedic Sanskriti , cow is sacred for not just milk products rather it's entire existence is sacred. Hindus utilise every by-product of breeding a cow and calf. It's been written in vedas that keeping a cow till death without purpose is a duty of every hindu. What you are talking about is called industrialization of animal husbandry in India. Ofcourse , western values affect every aspect in India upto an extent but not whole India. You can verify that on ground. Start with visiting uttrakhand.

@@hrithikmishra3562 My comment was just a reply to ur mention that " milk and milk products from cows are the best source" even though milk is technically not "living food" and it actually causes numerous health complications. I totally agree that cows are sacred without a purpose, but the whole idea of utilizing what comes from a cow is completely different from unconditionally rearing a cow, just like the way we keep dogs at our homes. And I think u meant "rearing", not "breeding" cows, because breeding implies the forced impregnation I mentioned. i am just trying to make you (and as many other people as I can ) repect the holy cow in the truest sense, by boycotting dairy industry. I hope you will be a part of this fight we are fighting for our precious cows:)
you know nothing. large scale animal sacrifice was norm during early vedic period. during yajna and ashmegha sacrifice animals were slautered. vegetarianism came much later due to various social challanges.
