Brilliant - thank you so much! You are a born natural - so easy to listen to and very informative (and amusing) - a genuinely honest and credible commentary!
Hi Nigel and Sue, thank you for reflecting on all these places. I Really love it unfortunately I lost my right leg above the knee in a truck accident in 2018 so I can really travel to these places. Only three your eyes and it’s fantastic. Keep up the good work. Love the video Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
Congratulations Nigel and Sue on completing your Big Lap - an epic journey. 😊 I have been binge watching your videos of late together with my partner - we have really enjoyed the content, always delivered in a relaxing and insightful manner with an occasional laugh to lighten the unfolding events. We have visited many of the places you have travelled but by no means all and it is wonderful to view places as documented by others - without commercial hard sell. Thank you for your efforts- we look forward to viewing more of your future adventures.
Out of the 10 places you have listed, if would certainly be hard to just recommend one place to go. You have had an amazing incredible 3 yrs that will last a lifetime in your memories. Australia is truly wonderful, and we thank you both for making the journey enjoyable, full of laughs, highs and lows. You have captured the heart of Australia perfectly. Bring on your next adventures wherever and whenever they may be, you have picked up this fan for life! Your videos should be used as part of educating folks about Australia and what it has to offer!
Thanks so much Lee! It would be good if our Aussie videos were shown to more overseas people, but sadly, that's not often the case. We are grateful for you showing up each week and always leaving us a thoughtful comment.
@nigelandsueadventures l like to say honestly what l think. LOL This often gets me into trouble haha but really do hope more overseas visitors see our wonderful country as you have seen it!
That was soo good to watch! I agree with Fiona, you are a natural so informative and funny (laughed at Nige getting busted with his monty dance lol) As a South Aussie I was glad you loved all of it, made me weirdly proud ha - surprised too but nice to hear! I worked in outback SA (Glendambo & Blinman) getting experience for when I hit the road, I was actually surprised at how much I loved it. I am off to binge watch some more of your travels 🤣💜
Great highlight video. I just came back from 5 months in Tassy, got to see it all, loved it. A couple of my favourite parts of NSW are Mungo National Park and Menindee Lake. In WA a great spot to visit apart from all the touristy places is definitely Mt. Augustus, largest rock in the world, almost twice the size of Ayers Rock, a few extras you'll need to do next time.
I love your videos! Thank you so much for putting so much effort into them to inform and even entertain us viewers. I've lived with my Aussie husband in Sydney for 2 1/2 years and have only seen a fraction of what you've seen. (We moved to the Blue Mountains last Winter because, like you, I really wanted to be closer to nature.) However, I've seen the "big stuff" down under and am happy that you shared the hidden gems you've found along the way. I'm putting all of them on my bucket list. Cheers!
What a great wrap up of the best not-so-obvious places! I especially loved the long and drawn out Nigel dive (fall/tip??) into the river at the end 😆(must have missed that episode first time around) That was me last weekend in Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island. Got in up to my hips and hubby was threatening to splash me if I didn't hurry up. I could hardly breathe it was so cold, but of course "it's all right once you're in"... Plus there were no showers for 4 days so I didn't really have a choice! Looking forward to hearing what the 'worst' places/experiences were 🤔😉
A great series we have followed you all the way , can't wait to see what is next , thanks for all the entertainment along the way and teaching how to do the Nigel dive , keep the shiny side up . Regards Pete
So many amazing and beautiful places to visit. I really enjoyed the doco style video and revisiting all of these wonderful places. Great video. Thanks. 🤗
A top video Nigel and Sue. Thank you for sharing you have visited so my amazing places in our amazing country and you have shared places that Coen and I will Neve see. I loved the Nigel dive Sue, well done. You have given so much interesting information on your travels for those that are looking at choosing Van life as well as giving folks like us that will probably never see or visit the amazing places that you share with us. Safe travels Nigel and Sue. Coen and Jay
Thanks Coen and Jay, and thank you for your ongoing support. We really appreciate you being here. Hope you're looking forward to the next chapter as much as we are!
Yeah we are so lucky! And we still have only scratched the surface! We will be back for another lap in a few years… but for now, there’s a big world out there!
Exmouth Ningaloo reef, Bungle Bungles, start of the Gibb to ElQuestro, Lake Argyle, Litchfield is the best national park in Australia, Mataranka and Edith Falls, Kings Canyon, Rottnest, Monkey Mia loop, Kangaroo Island, SA Baird Bay sea lion and dolphin swim, NSW Jenolan Caves, Qld NSW and Vic I'm struggling to think of any places worth going out of your way to - maybe the dinosaur stuff in central Qld...its all WA and NT the cool stuff. Once you do the big outback stuff the small east coast stuff doesn't cut it.
South Australia is so amazing! I’d say the coastal areas are best in summer, and for the Flinders, you’re definitely best off there in autumn or early spring.
I have done "The Big Lap" several times and different ways as you can always see something else that you missed in earlier travels. BUT I completed my recent big lap in just 23 days (including 5 days as a vollie on a cattle station), as It wasn't meant as a pleasure trip but to catch up with family and friends in 4 states and I had to be back home in under a month. Not a trip that I would recommend, but with cruise control set at 90km/h, it was too hard.
I have loved watching your adventures, I am English born and have been to Europe and sorry but it isn’t a patch on beautiful Australia, wherever your adventures take you safe travels ❤
It’s Lerderderg State Park, and the hike is called the Lerderderg Circuit walk. It leaves from MacKenzie Flat which is just outside Bacchus Marsh. Cross the creek several times on the way to Graham’s Dam and then head up the hill (there’s a good signage). At the top of the hill turn right and walk a couple of hundred metres along the fire trail before heading back down and back along the creek. You can see more of this hike in our video called “Back Off the Road”. You’ll also find this hike on the AllTrails app. Hope that helps! It’s a great hike, you can see the city of Melbourne from the top.
I think the amazing parts of Australia are good because they are human interactive. Like It's easy to get amazed by massive mountains of other nations, but in most cases you merely get to look. Having interactions like swimming, walking among the forest, and the different environments is unique in the world as the weather suits. Yeah gum tress can be a bit tiring at times.
The best Laksa soup isn’t Mary’s as I tried every Laska soup in Darwin It’s at Coolalinga shopping centre which they also do the Mindel beach Markets Coolalinga are the best for Laska soup in the shopping centre!
Good to know! I'll definitely try that one next time I'm in Darwin. I love Laksa! If you're ever in Melbourne try the Laksa at Chinta Ria - they have a take out near the MidCity centre and a couple of sit down restaurants around the city. That's the first place I ever had laksa over 30 years ago and still my favourite (last visit was in April just gone)
Hi Cathy, we got it from Bunnings - the inner part (wire basket and drawer sliders). The door is one we got from Ikea to match our other cupboard doors, but we had to cut it down. I think you can get the correct size door from Bunnings. Hope that helps!
We did visit Parap on our last trip to Darwin, and yes, we really enjoyed it too. Mary's Laksa well and truly lived up to the hype! We showed Parap Markets in our Darwin City Guide video from about a year ago.
Brilliant - thank you so much! You are a born natural - so easy to listen to and very informative (and amusing) - a genuinely honest and credible commentary!
Thanks so much Fiona! Glad you enjoyed it 😊😊

Yeah, that's a bit before he was really into the whole Nigel Dive thing. My feet were numb just standing there!
Loved this guys ❤
Thank you 🙏
Great content
Thanks! 🙏

Thanks Peter! Hope you enjoy the next series too! But there’s still a bit of “Big Lap” content to come!
Really enjoyable episode, realistic review and positive.
Thanks and continued safe travels to you both 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much Darren.
Beautiful tour!!
Thanks for visiting!! We loved the big red country.
So many amazing and beautiful places to visit. I really enjoyed the doco style video and revisiting all of these wonderful places. Great video. Thanks. 🤗
It was a great walk down memory lane for us too!
A few more places added to my 'places to visit' list. And I agree about Darwin - I love it too. I love your vids

Great vid again. Yes we loved the East Macdonald Ranges as well. We were there in June 2019 and it was freezing.
We had no idea it was going to be so cold and our heater wasn’t working!
Good job condensing your journey 😜 Soo many great adventures you’ve had and shared, Thank You 🤩 🙏 What an amazing country we live in 😁 💋✨🥰

Thanks for sharing. We do live in a magnificent country.
We are truly blessed!
Another great video! Loved seeing your highlights ❤
Thanks Shauna! So many highlights!
I love your sense of what makes a great spot. Peace & tranquility are obviously high on the list. Can't wait for the 10 worst!
Absolutely! We love being out in nature and away from crowds.
Did you go to Babinda Boulders in cairns .. that was my favorite
Yes we did. I’m sure it’s in one of our videos, but that was a few years ago now. It’s a great place.
@@nigelandsueadventures as soon as we got there we saw platypuses playing. We thought they were a myth in SA
Thanks for your list. What time of year do you recommend to visit South Australia and Flinders Ranges.

Did you like the Victoria edition?
Hehe had a chuckle, I was with the Gisborne bush walking club in my teens.Saw a lot of the local bush back then.
I have loved watching your adventures, I am English born and have been to Europe and sorry but it isn’t a patch on beautiful Australia, wherever your adventures take you safe travels ❤
We definitely have amazing natural beauty here, but we really lack the history and culture of Europe.
gorgeous!!! i’m wondering what cameras you guys used? was that overhead one a drone?
Yes the overhead is a drone, and we use a variety of cameras - we have a DJI Action 4, a Canon GSX7, a Sony A7iii and our trusty iPhones.
I see you went to Hogarth falls in Strahan....but did you go back at night....the path is lined with glowworms.....
Thanks, I’m in Victoria , never heard of Lendeberg state park. What was the name of the big walk to the summit and how long did it take you?
It’s Lerderderg State Park, and the hike is called the Lerderderg Circuit walk. It leaves from MacKenzie Flat which is just outside Bacchus Marsh. Cross the creek several times on the way to Graham’s Dam and then head up the hill (there’s a good signage). Good to know too!
Laksa sharing lol
I lived up their for years and housesit up their
I have a very new utube channel too

Darwin has a bit of the Spanish city vibe happening.
Yeah its amazing. Have you spent much time there? We can't wait to go back.
@@nigelandsueadventures No never been there. The street art and vibe looks like the fun you see in Spanish cities, in other people's videos.
❤
Thanks 🙏
Isn't cycling along a fallen tree trunk just asking for it?
To do a complete lap of Australia, you will need a good reliable car to drive.
For sure!! But, having said that, I don't think we spoke to ANYONE on our lap who hadn't had some car trouble - its a long way round!!
Parap markets in Darwin are much better
We did visit Parap on our last trip to Darwin, and yes, we really enjoyed it too. Mary's Laksa well and truly lived up to the hype! We showed Parap Markets in our Darwin City Guide video from about a year ago.
and yet she has a british passport and he s a kiwi
