Actually I love pink roses. Today I am fascinated to the yellows. :) Especially the combination of the Golden shower and the green bed is gorgeous. Thank you for these lovely rose images.
I love it when gardens extend beyond their walls onto the street - a gift of beauty to all. Jayne Austin is my favourite yellow rose with its honey and spice fragrance.
So many beautiful roses- how does one choose ? And they all look so healthy - no bug damage- no yellow leaves . Perfect. I always thought that the most beautiful roses had no fragrance and vice versa but you have proved my theory incorrect. These all look beautiful with excellent fragrances-
Such a nice walk through of some of your climbing roses. Your Constace Spry is famous here in Scandinavia thanks to your books. It is very impressive. All the ones you showed us looked great. How I wished I could fit in more roses and peonies
Your roses are so healthy Claus, great selection. I love roses and my mother named me Rose so I have no excuse but to adore them. I I’ve in Australia and most new gardens just don’t grow them. Mine is full of roses . We have had an amazing reader in the early 20 century here called Alistair Clark, he breed for Australian conditions. One of his in my garden has just had a flush and it is June mid winter! Loving your video. Thank you
I love my Abraham Darby rose from David Austin. At first I thought the Alchemist was the same because they look the same. But Abraham is a repeat flowerer. So fragrant.
I love Pilgrim the most among the 5 ramblers. I wish to find that for my garden someday. thank you for all the information and history - they make growing these roses even more interesting.
I enjoyed seeing your climbing roses so much. It is lovely to see how you created a gorgeous wall of blooms. I have just begun my collection of David Austin roses this year.
Love this video it inspires me, beautiful roses! I'm going to the David Austin nursery in England next month on my birthday to find 4 climbers for my new pergola. I'm thinking 3 Strawberry hill pink Rose's and one pink The Generous Gardener. I'm so excited😁
What a gorgeous rose hedge Claus! David Austin roses….romantic and most fragrant….my favourite of all roses! How many roses do you have per square metre of fence? Thanks for showing us your beautiful roses with us Claus! Roses 🌹
Beautiful roses, Claus! Maybe next time you can show us how you would them in an arrangement! My favorite David Austin rose is Abraham Darby; the fragrance is intoxicating!!! Sadly, mine succumbed to some unknown malady… 🙁
I often hear compliments from passers-by on the beautiful display in my suburban garden. Of course, I see all the weeds yet to be pulled or spent blooms needing deadheading. But I accept their praise and tell them it's my gift to the neighborhood.
Beautiful roses! I have so much trouble with roses. Maybe sometime you could talk about ideal growing conditions for roses or your growing conditions. Thank you.
Can you please show us how you mount the trellis for the climbing roses on the walls of your house. My house is brick and I don’t know how to do this without making it look ugly. Thank you, Claus, for your incredible videos!
I so enjoyed watching this video. I may introduce a rose into my garden beds at some point, but I live in south (Tennessee) and the oppressive humidity makes growing roses a bit more difficult without constant spraying of insecticides/fungicides. We also deal with rose rosette disease which will decimate roses.
