I am sharing a tour of my small rose garden in my backyard. Most of them have a very subtle color palette which makes great cottage garden roses varieties. I'm also doing a time lapse to test rose vase life.
All the roses I am recommending here are repeat bloomers. Climbing rose, hybrid tea, Floribunda, etc.

Enchanting. Thank you for sharing. I’m delighted with The Generous Gardner and Emily Brontë…both exquisitely fragrant. Emily starts with a tea scent and moves on to old rose…I get hints of grapefruit and subtle lemon. Generous Gardner has a hint of myrrh and musk behind the classic rose scent. Delights for the senses.😊

Eden is one of my favourite, although it took my Eden rose five years to establish and begin to flower profusely. Every summer my patience is rewarded with glroious blooms that only stay for one month in June. Eden is not a repeat bloomer in my garden, but it's such a traffic stopper when it's in bloom.

All of us lost our Edens. Not hardy enough for us.

I just bought earth angel this year, can’t wait to see her. Also added ‘snow pavement’ rugosa and just ordered white eden so thanks! LOL 😂

Thank you! I haven't grown roses since a child bit I did have a souvenir maimason. It was very fragrant and prolific in flowering very low maintenance no need to feed...I also had heritage same also. Your roses are so beautiful thank you for the advice on care and Sharing your favorite 🌹 💐 roses!

You have an amazing garden and a selection of roses suitable to my liking. I prefer white, off white, white to pink and yellow roses. Eden is lovely, but so far I don't have it in my garden. Beautiful presentation!
My favorite is "Golden Celebration". It was well established in the garden when My husband and I bought the place. The aroma and beauty of this rose shrub is like being in Paradise! It can compare to Eden:)
I am Bulgarian-Canadian and for now my garden is at Bulgaria. I want to have Rosa Damascus, because that's what Bulgaria is famous for the rose oil production for the perfumery industry. On top of that that particular rose is good for syrup, rose jam, jelly, and desserts.

I agree, I’m in Tasmania and my Golden Celebration is only 3 years old and flowers profusely and is a show stopper, the fragrance is Devine, it’s my favourite in my garden, have just planted a Pierre de Ronda rd so hoping that is as impressive

I was thinking of acquiring Frances Meilland and Mansfield Park, and Princess Charlene was not even on my list after I saw it. I have a different opinion now because I do love scented roses. It’s hard to pick a favorite rose there. Also beautiful. I’ve always been in love with a climber, called Paul’s scarlet. It’s fragrant has large red balloons and a fast grower. My mother had one that grew along our white picket fence. My next favorite, another red climber Don Juan pretty common very fragrant nice nice rose. My next favorite is a David Austin rose called crown, princess Margarita. It is a pale, apricot, orange. The petals are numerous, and the blossom is very fragrant

Beautiful. Thank you. In our coastal climate we have fog so the multi pedaled varieties have problems, even if we spray with fungicides, which I don't like. We have had luck however with Yves Piaget, Lark Ascending, Mutabilis, Julia Child, Carefree Wonder~~

This is a great list. I have experience with New Dawn and Eden, where I prefer Eden over the 2. My favorite now is the Generous Gardener!

I started my New Dawn roses from cuttings. They grew prolifically in the second year. They provide an abundance of flowers in the spring but sporadically throughout the summer. The fragrance (divine) and color (seashell pink) are the main reasons I love it so very much. It can be prone to blackspot even when getting good morning sun. You should tell us what you use for blackspot prevention. Neem seems to disfigure any new growth it comes into contact with. Funginex was the BEST fungicide ever on the market. But alas, it was removed by the powers that be for whatever reason. 😢 😢😢

We have many of the same roses and chose them for the same reasons. Because of the (infuriating) Brexit we can't have Moonlight in Paris, Princess Charlene and others we dearly wished for. The Generous Gardener is sublime, soft peachy pink, grows incredibly quickly and the fragrance is knock out. Claire Austin is, too. We really enjoyed this, thank you!

You know, you can start a rose from a fresh cut, right!?
I used to live in Canada, British Columbia for many years, close to the USA border and for a road trips, my husband and I liked to go down to Washington state.
There was one peonies farm, but only cut flowers were allowed through the border 😉. I didn't know at the time, you can propagate peonies from a fresh cut.
@@ixoraroxi yes, but believe it or not if they are reknowned breeders, like David Austin, a lot of them are patented and it's illegal! How on Earth do they check up on that?
@@debramoss2267 , exactly- who on Earth will know what kind are the roses in your garden!?:) Is not for commercial sales, right.
@@HydrangeaTreehouse it is our best performer, grew meters first year, abundant in flowers, fragrance, rose hips and the colour is perfect- it's also all edible! Probably wouldn't chomp on the thorns, but jars of rose jelly by the dozens!

Thank you for the video. The comparison of the three roses was very informative. Unfortunately, they ran out of Eden when I checked this morning. However. I ordered 5 plants; 2 Lady of Shalott, 2 Gabriel Oak, and 1 Princess Alexandra of Kent. Can't wait until next year!

Thanks for your video! I am waiting for my two eden roses from Heirloom. Planning to plant in front door but I have big tree close to that and that place doesn't get sun as much as it needs. What should I do?
I'd recommend to grow them in full sun or at least 6hrs sunlight
