Having used the 500mkii for 3 years and now owning a C400 I completely agree. It's like a refreshed C500ii with better low light and better rolling shutter / high frame rates. Great additions for new owners sure, but nothing worth 'upgrading' from the C500ii for if you already have one IMO!

You hit on it, but the RF Mount on a smaller body than the C500 M2 with usable autofocus (pair w/ the 24-105 2.8) in run n' gun situations was enough to convince me!
100% agree with you! Would be an unreal setup for run and gun situations!
I feel the same way about most cameras. I'm more excited about buying a camera cart to make my days on set more efficient. Though, the c400 is a nice loking camera for sure... if I weren't so invested in the Sony world for sports.

Yeah for sure man! Right now I really need to focus on organizing my stuff haha almost to much gear now
gear is great for what you need it for. Those small changes aren't that much of a deal breaker to "upgrade". Use that for a few years until a major change comes along from Canon. Good video

One of the biggest question/ complaints I have for Canon is why do they keep putting a Single CF express slot and a single SD card slot in their cameras??? They should be putting dual CF/SD Card slots give us the option for both like Sony does! the Canon C400 has one SD and one CF Express slot when the C80 and C70 have dual SD slots. It's inconsistent and makes it extremely hard to invest in media and negates dual recording options. If anything, I'd rather they put in a dual CF Express slot and get rid of sd cards entirely on their higher-end cameras... But this is partially why I'm no longer team Canon.... Or If they are gonna keep doing this, they need to enable SSD recording on all of their cameras!
Yeah! You defiantly make a great point, right now the c500mii does dual cf express slots and 1 sd for proxies but I wish i could have the option for both.
I'm actually thinking of buying a used C500 Mark 2. C400 would be great but for 8000, I can get a C500 m@, cards and extension unit on ebay, depending on the seller. It's hard to spend money on a brand new camera when the used camera market offers good deals.
