Yes, sadly these scammers are mostly foreigners from Middle East, some from South Asian countries, very little from South East Asian countries. We are not sure why they choose to be scammers while there's a lot of foreigners from their countries came here to work and do businesses too. 🤷🏻♀️ It's good to inform that these scammers are not Malaysian people. if she wanted food and not get any especially from Malaysians and Malaysian Bazaar Ramadan, something is wrong 😅 because we give away food to strangers all the time.

I hv seen this lady when I was in a money exchange in Bkt Bintang. She was asking for money from some arabs looking customers in the money exchanger. Because I looked and is M'sian she completely gave me a pass! Yes you're right there's these foreign scammers n preying on middle eastern tourists n western tourists. Just be on the lookout n beware of these beggar syndicate.
We encountered this in Malay also. I had to ask someone I know working at the restaurant close by if she's a scam. He told me she's legit and told me she's a refugee from a war torn country with other ongoing issues. It's always better to know a bit more if you can to avoid scams.

Just recently some begger got caught driving an RM100k SUV to “work”. There are too many if them in Malaysia, we are sick of it. The most is I would give rm1 for a pack of tissues.
