Your dad is a natural. Like men of his generation they’re a fountain of knowledge. When I was a lad I had to think about all these things but my father just reeled it all off because it was all stored in his head. Just years of history stored there. Hopefully I grew into that with age 🤞🤞

Most farmers (our Farm included) here in germany did the 1.cut in the end of april 💪 This Winter we upgraded to a 3,2m Krone discmower for just 500€. It just needed some maintenance, now its running smooth as new and mows very good. For us its enough, because it only needs to mow around 40 acres per year, and if it breaks Down After 2 years or so it was cheap enough anyways and already paid off 😂😂

It is good to see the companies more and more it seems putting their product where their mouth is to let farmers run them in the field to show them off. Got to hand it to Malone with bringing that mower out. That thing hooked to the Case and your father running the Hurlimann with the tedder was a sight to see. That was some fast and steady mowing action from the both of you including when he had the trailed mower on the Hurlimann. Don't get me wrong I like my A/C on equipment but sometimes the smell from the open windows and warm breeze feels so good. Today was a cracking good video. Happy to see the dynamic duo of Pemberton's Farm together and talking about the equipment and showing how to get it done.

Your father needs a video or two just for himself and he can talk about the science behind growing grass. Im here in Canada and trying to grow grass in a swamp! It never is dry. And i dont have the equipment for silage. Love listening to your old man.
best way to check out new equipment is give it to someone who has used older equipment for years, like to see them get the job done easier, does the weight of the mower arm put stress on the tractor connections? Used a mower with an arm when I worked for the state, took its toll on the connections

Shopping list: Big red tractor with Air con. Check New cake machine with concrete pad in car we want to add molasses later and bake a 🍰. Finally a new mower to match the power of the tractor with the PTO. Great for speed in a country when you are not sure of rain. Good luck waiting for chop, then a seeding video. It was also good for the big slurry tank.
Tom you should work the spool for the mower on the multicontroller joystick instead of the push switch. Its far easier to just push forward into float.
disc mowers are fantastic you can really rock on we have a lely an that's the same it will smash anything an I said you don't need a conditioner there a waste of time contractor's have them but they never have them set doing anything. Great vid Tom keep on smashing it.
Two days... I’d do that with my strimmer! 😂 Only joking keep her lit! I shattered the window the door/window of a 7210r while mowing when a rock flew.. my boss was pissed and when we fixed it he went mowing came back 20 minutes later.. he broke the exact same window.. 😂

We bought a Pottinger 3507T recently for our beef farm in Canada. Hooked to a fendt 714 we can mow at 15 mph. They are very impressive machinery.
