Had my pick of any guitar in the music store the other day. After playing a bunch of gibsons worth 1800 to 3500 and a couple slash epiphones, I picked up the prophecy and bought it in 3 minutes. Awesome guitars
@@268Brookland Les Paul studio are great guitars for the money . You can always upgrade the pickups or keep it stock. I have a Gibson special faded , bare bones. All I did was upgrade the pickups and it kicks ass . Well made early 2000 Gibson SG . Keep rockin Mr. King 👑.
I could have used some blues licks to see if one could coax a convincing vintage tone as well. Jack is great at Blues. Instead I got almost all mindless chug.... I mean theres a Two Rock -right there....
I was fortunate enough to have found this flying V in a pawn shop. It was the best deal I've ever ran across. The guitar is phenomenal! Highly Recommend!
Nice - I plan on getting one myself ASAP. I’ve always wanted a classic Gibson shaped V, but didn’t want to pay anywhere near Gibson prices. I actually prefer the looks of this Epiphone to every other modern V I’ve looked at.
@@MABMGuitar Definitely the coolest v out there right now in my opinion, I did end up parting with it because I feel the input jack is in a poor spot and made it uncomfortable for me to play it sitting down
@@zachalou3073 I agree about the input placement. Even with a 90 degree cable end it's a pain in the ass playing while sitting. Standing is excellent though. No neck dive and very well balanced. I actually prefer the input location while standing.
I played the V the other day, it was utterly incredible. Came to this video to decide on either that or the purple Extura, but I think it's gonna have to be the V!
The fluence fishmans are completely different than emgs that Zakk uses. That said the fishmans on these models are different sounding than the fluence modern. I own both
Epiphone never been a big fan but has usual Jack's inspired playing got me hooked! I like the V or the SG may have to ban myself from watching Jack play... I want everything he plays!🎸
*I love the demo because I love to be able to hear how a guitar I want to buy sounds using a lot of gain and have a guitar tone. 🏆🏆🏆🏆 Excellent demonstration!*
The Les Paul and the SG look amazing, and One Step Closer by Linkin Park at the intro was phenomenal. Great Video, hopefully i'd get one of these in the months to come.
Just actually purchased one..2021 SG propacy…besides the crack that developed in the finish. (Probably fluctuating temp as I live in New England) it sounds really good and plays nice. Gave it an immediate string change and it feels better. For the $..it’s hard to beat.
I purchased an Epiphone Prophecy Flying V , At the moment there are a few problems and My Retailer is not Co/ operating with the return, love the Sound of the Fishman Fluence Proprietary pups . The V is using Gibson 1958 specs for the body and neck . Let’s see how my Retailer handles my return and my new one . Yes , that’s correct. Love it
So what happens when you pull out both pots that control voice switching? If you pull the volume and tone on the V then wouldn’t you have activated the “PAF” and the fender, I mean “California” voicing at the same time? How does that work? Interesting concept none the less.
I'm gonna order the black flying v and have the electronics swapped out to run passive pickups. It's either gonna have Seymour Duncans or bill lawrence pickups like my other flying v but its most likely gonna have a sh2 in the neck and sh5 in the bridge. I've played the extura which I loved but I didn't care for the pickups, hence is why I'm swapping out the electronics. Great demo and playing
It's actually - Active/Passive/Split Coil - not sure where the "PAF voicing" description came from but I don't feel it's accurately portraying what these pickups do.
I play exclusively single cut‘s Example Drop B On a 25.5‘‘ scale, 12-68 On a 24.3/4‘‘ scale you should go for 12-72. This needs a new set up (wider slots in the nut/bridge and a little truss rod adjustment), keep that in mind. Once that is done, there‘s nothing to stop you.
Loved the Balls to the Wall but you really need to be standing. Sitting and playing that is just wrong. :) Serious though, nice demo and very desirable guitars.
Pony up an extra $1500 and grab a gibson standard if its a "quality" thing and if it's a "communist" thing do the above and then throw out almost everything you own. Lol
Nice guitars but for me these epis are complete lacking the woody tone which Gibsons are associated with. They sound kind of hard and sterile....in my ears....
You're a great player and a good salesman. Also, judging from some other comments, I'm in the minority, but I have to say what I think: Add some robo tuners and you have the full amount of ugliness and silliness that we thought had left for good when Henry Juszkiewicz got canned from Gibson. All these guitars look atrocious to me. WTF is happening?

Good choice, saved your self a ton of money. Maybe buy a good ass high gain amp to go along with that new guitar.
@@yeti1002 that being said I just ordered a Gibson les Paul studio for the same amount I paid for the prophecy. lol

Blue SG is great and presentation is much more interesting instead of boring blues licks that everyone constantly use. You are great guitar player.

This is the best review of this series of guitars on TH-cam. Fantastic. 👍

balls to the wall fit the V perfectly LOL
I was close to pulling the trigger on a Gibson Antique natural, then I seen this purple prophecy. Woaw. Love everything about it and that heel joint 🤤
...and Crazy Babies!!! Thanks for different and cool demos!
Bought the black flying V. Pretty dang excited about trying it out. Great video and playing!

damn, you really did them justice, great presentation
I'm interested in the SG.. Obviously metal and rock are there...can you squeeze some blues out of those pickups?
Miracle Man!!! Zakk Wylde famously used active pickups, so good reference

By both I mean both fishman fluences
That SG looks and sounds amazing.

Lucky you have the purple Extura. Mine is backordered. I hope I get it soon.
Dude played Balls to the Wall!!!! That is awesome!!!!!

Brit: “That’s rather exciting.”

I own 3 of them and I’m waiting on the Flying V as I speak. I’m a total fanboy of these guitars I absolutely love them.
Just ordered the prophecy Les Paul olive tiger, such sick guitar licks!
just bought the Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy Olive Tiger aged gloss (that's a mouthfull), it is really REALLY good

Diggin that V!!!
i see you throwing that Rain by Trivium in there. good work
Hello ! Great professional video! Do u think the flying V Prophecy neck is better than last Gibson flying V slim taper one? Thanks, Marco
Wish they would've used the original Prophecy series blade inlays.
i just one love it, and emg 81/85 active pickups, same as zak wydle
Does this guitar work with the Boss Katana Air transmitter? Thanks!
Great playing from Jack🎸
Miracle Man!!!!!!! Well played!
for those specs, all other import guitar brands would charge like 400 more at least
Thanks for playing the v sitting down since people like to act like it's literally impossible

What problems?
If the pickups have no magnets, the strings vibrate more freely which may alter the sound a bit...
True. But these pickups DO have magnets !
I've got the Les Paul. Big problem with the battery, the lead is way to short and getting it in and staying in is a bugger.
It is so cool, i can see myself buying a couple and installing an evertune and floating bridge each
Are these only available on pre order?!
Great guitars but your playing is superb 👌

One pot switches between the 2 voices, and the other is a coil tap.
The tragedy with these is that the blue is only available on the SG
Torn between the LP and the V for my next purchase.
Some real ghost fret vibes from that explorer

On a 25.5‘‘ scale, 12-68

It's not dumb. People have no idea what the CCP has in store for them.
The pickups sound dry as fook
EMG pickups would sound better
14:55 auditioning for Ozzy when? ... All jokes aside, first time I hear someone play Miricale man intro properly, who not played for Ozzy.
Crazy how these are made in china....
Jesus christ is coming repent choose him today,he loves you

still ain't a gibson
How are there still people that think like you, grow the f up, not everyone is gonna buy the 1600 dollar gibson.
How can you compare this to a Gibson when Gibson don't even have a guitar that is comparable to it ya total fanny bucket 😂😂😂

If the pickups sounds sterile , invest in some boutique custom wind passive 's . Plenty to choose from , Problem fixed ...

Terrible colors for the Les Paul. Why didn't Epiphone do them in a blue and purple like the others. Once again they missed the mark.
