    can I program this ESC with an Emax program card?

    • @DPTech_workroom

      You can try.
      I can't test it, because i don't have Emax program card

    I flew my plane yesterday with this ESC and a 6s battery, started giving it throttle and it immediately went to full power, climbed straight up 200 feet, fried my entire setup and crashed a brand new plane (luckily on water). I regret not using a separate battery for the receiver and spending more on an ESC.

      Was it a genuine Unit in a bag like the one in the video? did it have the genuine holo sticker? Tons of fakes out there right now

    • @degenerategambler406
      @degenerategambler406 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it was the same exact ESC with same packaging and holo sticker on it. I bought a new Hobbywing Platinum 100amp instead and also a 4s 5000 20-30c Turnigy Lipo to replace.

      Never had a problem with the skywalker. Its mystery cloud ones that are junk

      This shows, always use a separate bec. Even a separate 2s or 3s lipo would help.

    How do you call that blue thing with a potentiometer that you use at minute 0:54?

      it is a servotester.

      Dan, I tried to make my brand new ESC SkyWalker 80A, the same you have in this video, with a rotary position sensor connected on the BEC cable, so I can control the speed of one e-fan. The sensor is a resistive, ratiometric type. It's just a potentiometer made for up to 10vdc power on the main leads. I just connect the BEC to the sensor taking 5vdc from the BEC. As soon as I apply power to the ESC the music 1, 2, 3 plays, then only beeps. I'm powering with a 3S Li-Ion pack, Please help me how to test my new ESC without any servotester, neither receiver or trasnmitter.

    Under load the amp draw will be much greater. But for testing it this way👍🙂

    Is this for sensored brushless motor or sensorless brushless motor?

    • @DPTech_workroom

      What?
      On the video there are no sensors.

    is the ESC bidirectional? I mean that does it allows the motor to spin in both directions?

    Can we put this esc into rc boat with diy water cooling and does this esc have a reverse function?

    • @DPTech_workroom
      @DPTech_workroom  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi.
      There are no reverse function, because it's for planes. (quadcopters, or helicopters) There are no need.
      With diy water cooling you can try. If you want to use reverse on boat, there are water jet drives with possibility going backwards.

      If you can't find - try to do a DIY shield for change water direction.

      I have no idea...
      In description there was, that it can be used with Turnigy programmer.
      But all ESC can be programmed with joystik.

      If you will use servo library to generate PWM for controlling the ESC - yes.
