@@ivansanchez-wk2rjI agree with you 💯. I am a Novak fan, but Sinner and Alcaraz are playing some incredible tennis. Sinner just won the match against Rublev in straight sets and Alcaraz has been destroying his opponents so far. Alcaraz still has to beat Zverev and Medvedev has to beat Hurkacz. But Sinner by no means will be a walk in the park for Djokovic. And then in the finals, it's likely either going to be Alcaraz or Medvedev awaiting Djokovic too. I will be rooting for Djokovic to go all the way, but I won't be surprised if either Sinner, Alcaraz or Medvedev take out Djokovic. I hope Djokovic wins the whole tournament though, as he is the favorite to win anyways.

Proud of fritz, great playing and composure. I hope he continues to strengthen his serve and analyze serve strategy a bit more. More intention with each serve for maximum offense. If his service games were stronger with more momentum it would put even more pressure on the opponent with his incredible return game (similar to Agassi). Also would like to see him continue to work on his movement, his stamina but more importantly his explosiveness. You use this to come in and finish the points, but more importantly it’s a strong powerful first step you make when you are changing directions from a split step. If he cleans up this footwork a bit I believe he could continue to improve his court coverage and put more pressure on opponents to go for more which would mean more unforced errors. His grounds strokes are so good off both sides. The improvements are showing and I believe he can be top 5 with continued growth this year. Well done Taylor, onward.

I am in shock at what Djokovic is doing at his age. He is actually IMPROVING. Yes, I think this nearly 37 year old version of Djoker, would beat himself at 27; which is quite a ridiculous proposition, but it certainly appears that way as he is so incredibly dominant in Majors. At 37 Bjorn Borg, McEnroe, Lendl...you pick'em...they'd be looking for adult diapers. This is a new era, and Rafa might come back and win a couple more before he's through, and Roger did pretty good as he aged; but nothing like what Djokovic is doing.

Fritz ... and any challengers of Djokovic ... have to realize what they are up against. These players just haven't made the commitment and sacrifices that Djokovic has made. Sure, they will be stars and millionaires. But if they want to beat him, they will have to have a level of dedication that is all encompassing. They will have to have intelligence and focus and discipline. It's not enough to have a good day on court ... a good day on court may get them one set. they have to have all the training and preparation before they even get on court too.

When asked about Novak's injury during their third round match in 2021, Taylor stopped short of accusing his opponent of faking his injury. His response was "If he was really, really injured, he wouldn't have kept playing," Fritz told reporters. Pretty sure it still haunts him.

Fritz played well. But not converting either of the 2 break points in 1st set was a big blunder from him. Once Novak took it to the tiebreaker and won the 1st set, there was always going to be only one possible outcome.

Djokovic plays so much better in cooler/night matches. Look at sets 3 and 4... I bet you they're gonna put him in day match for semis. They seem to be trying to force him into day matches as some sort of "punishment" for him having some sort of "advantage" for playing night matches all these years.

I watched the whole game, this highlights do not nearly show the intensity of this game. Both games 1 of sets 1 and 2 lasted over 17 minutes, going deuce and back. Mostly all games had deuce on those sets. Djoko was 0 from 18 on break attempts in first 2 sets. It was a beauty to watch Fritz recover all of those break points. Eventually Djoko broke him to pieces, but it was by far hes best match against him

If there was a absolute ranking system just for the grand slams, then Djokovic will be #1 and the next best player will be #10. All these players (the likes of Fritz, Sinner, Rublev, Medvedev, Zverev) play their life's best tennis against Novak but still lose to him in the long format matches. Then they are scratching their heads thinking "what did I do wrong". They just do not realize that they are just playing the style of tennis that Novak likes.
